First watch passes uneventfully. The sun sets, but the moonlit night is bright enough to allow you to see fairly well.
Demetrio, you are gazing out into the night when you hear a clatter of feet coming towards you. You barely have time to look around and then down to see four goblins charging towards the camp, scimitars drawn. As they see you notice them, they screech in unison, a high-pitched noise that wakes the whole party.
Everyone please roll initiative. You didn't get the benefit of a long rest yet, so any lost HP or used spell slots are not recovered. Everyone except Demetrio starts prone.
Group A: Goblin One and Goblin Two (20) Group B: Steinarr (19), Soron (13) and X (13), in any order Group C: Goblin Three and Goblin Four (12) Group D: Demetrio (8) and Kylara (5), in any order
The goblins are rushing towards the campsite. All are close by, within thirty feet of you.
Group A: Goblin One and Goblin Two
The lead goblin continues its loud screeching battle cry as it lunges towards Demetrio, the moonlight reflecting off its scimitar as it makes its attack:
Attack: 7 Damage: 7
It misses, as Demetrio, jolted out of his reverie by the screeching noise, instinctively dodges back. As the only standing, and therefore most visible target, Goblin Two also runs up behind the leader and attacks Demetrio:
Attack: 16 Damage: 3
Another miss, as the human's excellent reflexes confuse the goblins who don't expect such agility from a larger creature.
Group B is up: Steinarr, Soron and X in any order
(You are all prone. You will need 15 feet of movement to stand up. 201118 You are all within 15 feet of the two goblins attacking Demetrio, but not of the chasing pair.)
Reaction: defensive fighting style against the first ally attacked within five feet of me before my turn comes up. As of now only x is next to me but idk what steinarr or Soron have done yet.
Goblin three and four go before me and both have swords.
Well unless one tries to run past me giving me a attack of opportunity first then I’ll take that swing at it to attempt stopping it’s movement with sentinel of course.
