"W....w.....we need to get back home........." and they will begin to go through the supplies in the main cave gathering food etc  Geradil picks up a javelin and clumsily thrusts it forward testing it out, he almost manages to stab himself but they are determined to get back home.

You can see there are three other exits from this cavern, north, northeast and southeast.

Iroona frets a little. "But wouldn't you be safer staying here, with us? If there's a raiding party out there... look, we just—aah!" as Geradil pokes the javelin about, she retreats behind Slate again. "At least tell us which way the orcs go? Do you know where these passages lead?"

"The orcs wander all over through all these tunnels, though food seems to come from that one..." and he points to the southeastern passage "as far as the orcs outside, we need to take our chances, I do not want to stay in here any longer." thrust thrust fumble

"Maybe Thomas can make sure they get out safe?" Iroona asks. She's not ready to let them go unprotected, though she's warming to the idea. Clearly they aren't part of the story that will be written about these deeds.

Rowena laughs, "and who writing this story? I think we need to just direct these two towards the exit and let them go if that is what they wish. As for us, I think we should check the passage they mentioned where the food seems to come from. Unless anyone else has a better idea."

Iroona does not have a better idea.

"I think that letting them go and proceeding through the passage is the right way. If the food is coming down this passage, then there must be something down there."

Sounds good. Von nods.

Slate

Slate nods in agreement and then begins leading the way down the passage.

So you guys point Geradil and Courana towards the exit and wish them well and head southeast tunnel.  As you exit the tunnel you see a large, smoky fire crackles in the center of this room. Battered pots and kettles are stacked all over; clearly, this space serves as a crude kitchen. You feel a distinct draft drawing the smoke up through a rough hole in the ceiling.  It is otherwise unoccupied.

Vonman’s eyes go wide. Fire..........

Iroona, not being insightful, will look about. Any other exits from the room, besides the one we came through?

Nope - this is a dead end.

Iroona will say, "Looks like a a dead end." Then she will make to go back up the hall.

Slate

Slate looks disappointed, "I was hoping we'd find something down here, at least something to eat over the fire" he then turned and led the way back to the main area.

Rowena follows Slate and the others, "well then, on to the next passage."

As you return to the main chamber there is a tunnel heading off to the northeast and another tunnel heading north from this room.  The crates and barrels stacked here contain things like flour, grain and nails etc and appear to be things the orcs have looted from the nearby countryside.
