Azael, a knight notices you but doesn't go after you, assuming that someone else can handle it. 

Hunferho, (and they can detect magic, especially when it is so close), the cantrip disappates from your hands but you just barely manage to jump out of the way before any further can occur. 

Savanar, you feel the staff make contact with your chest and blue energy begins to draw out from you. You lose a spell slot for today.

I cast Inflict Wounds and lash out at the paladin.

Azael, not being stopped by anyone, goes into the maintenance room and hides, making sure to lock the door. Hecwuickly goes to the corner and slides down next to the various cleaning supplies, uncorking his bottle and taking a swing.

Link is running away from the downed guard with his staff and the sack of things link earlier gather he is now dashing every moment he can to leave the castle. 

(OOC: is there any way Quyst can notice Saphooly's class making it through the kitchen?)

(ooc: well, at this point, you have probably seen or heard quite a commotion from that general direction so I'd say so, sure.)

Inflict Wounds misses, and the knight almost seems to roar in anger.

It seems that she won't be able to get out of this situation by herself, so Quyst looks out for a group that looks like they can find a way. She notices the flow of people towards the kitchen and makes her way to that direction, still trying to be discreet.

For Herman: in order to decide what to do, I need to know what’s going on 

OOC: So I would like to put Sahpooly between the last guard and the students so that they can make a chance to escape. Would it be reasonable to use the Dodge action to try to avoid the electric staff? Is the Acrobatic check to avoid it meant to sort of act like a Dex save to avoid it, such that I might have advantage on the check after dodging? Sahpooly will have his dagger out to try to present some threat so that the guard won't ignore me to try to prevent the students from escaping out the coal chute.

Saphooly, you may use the Dodge action and swerve out of the way of the staff. You can make an Intimidation check too if you'd like.

Sahpooly will square himself up to the remaining guard, with Hunferho distracting two guards with magic and one with fighting. Sahpooly says over his shoulder. "Students, please make your way out the coal chute." Sahpooly draws his dagger and tries to focus on the  the guard in front of him, "Sorry sergeant, I need to protect my students. I really mean you no ill will."

Sahpooly will use his action to dodge, focusing on the guard's the staff. If the guard tries to go around him, Sahpooly will try use his reaction Attack of Opportunity to attack with a dagger. I'm really not trying to hurt the guard, just give the students an opening to escape using.

I don't expect Sahpooly to be very scary but will try an intimidation check, in case that helps the students escape the guards. 6

(Ok, so my life has been kind of busy lately and I think I can only handle keeping my original campaign going right now, so I think it is best if this one goes on a hiatus for a little while. Sorry everyone)
