[OoC]: You can use it at any point in the next 10 minutes, regardless of if Red is unconscious, dead or anything else. Feel free to roll 1d6, but add it as a new post so that I get the notification please.

"The most important step a person can take is always the next one." -Dalinar Kholin; Oathbringer
Therne's quarterstaff smashes through the wispy face of the shadow, causing it to falter and flicker.
Brozak, overcoming his fright, tosses aside his shield and grips his warhammer in two hands before charging the wispy black creature with a draconic cry of battle.
Attack: 22 Damage: 6
As the wailing specter is struck down, the oppressive gloom is replaced by a blinding light. For a fleeting moment you see the face of the sleeping woman, finally at ease, and then there is only light. Your eyes flick open and you find yourself in the basement once more. The mirror is shattered beyond repair and peace has settled over the ruined house. Though the woman has gone, you feel a sense of her lingering gratitude, and look to the future with renewed optimism.
[OoC]: Each of you receive enough XP to level up (must be done on a short or long rest) as well as having the 'Charm of Union' bestowed upon you by Clarice Redmane's spirit:
Charm of Union
By the grace of Sune. When you wish to make a good impression on a specific individual, you may call upon this charm to grant you advantage on all Charisma checks directed at the individual. This charm may only be used once, but its effect lasts for as long as you hold no ill will towards the individual.
You are a kind person, daughter of Selûne, always wrapping us sinners(nods to indicate Abner and he) in blankets and special coatings and such

What? I had this whole theory about needing the key and cameo to unlock the chest or alter and pass trough. So there is some unaccounted-for necromancy in the casket, perhaps? Anyway, that is twice I've been brought low and saved this tenday alone. Thank you, my good friends
"I'm not sure, but I wanted to offer the dagger I got from the undead creature's chest. I don't believe it had any bad qualities, but I get a bad feeling from it. Like it wasn't meant for me." She pulls the knife from her pack and holds it out for anyone to take.
[OOC]: For transparency sake, it's a weapon made to be strong against orcs and I believe Adri, being a half-orc, would get bad vibes from it.
”I don’t think we’re in any shape to deal with any negative results of opening that casket. Maybe we can save that for tomorrow,” Therne suggests.“But I would like to see what’s inside.”(If it’s late in the day, she’d probably suggest setting up camp for the night.)
To Adri: "I'm pretty good with daggers. If nobody else wants it, I can see what I can do with it!"
To Therne: "I dunno. I think it's just a box, now. I'll open it if you want!" He flashes a big grin.
To the group: "Do we have other treasure to divide up? Is it all ours?"
And after a pause, "You guys ready to go outside now? I hate this place." Abner climbs halfway up the ladder, then pauses, looking back at the rest of the group. He's not going to leave without the others this time.
It appears that time warped somewhat during your displacement into the shadowy realm. It is still early enough, and the sun seems to have only just passed its midday peak by an hour or two.

If there are more of these goodberries, I would appreciate any that can be spared - even if we are going to camp soon. I would hate to face a surprise like this.
Can you check, good Lady, whether that necromancy signature persists? Perhaps opening it in the bright morning light, as you suggest, is wise anyway. And the message from Lady Redmane seems to be that danger is past. But I would like to minimize surprises.
we will have climbed out of the cellar by now, Red will take berries but leave one left for night emergencies. Then check on the things we left in the entry hall, and add the stuff he took off the mirror-Redmane-Zombie-corpse. Not opening yet, but checking if the silver key is in fact the right dimensions for the casket.
[ooc What time is it? It was a full day back to Seldom Spring so we'll prob have to camp here to avoid travelling at night whenever it is - we can heal, learn new abilities, Red will practice tunes that will become Songs of Rest]

[OoC]: No. From the PHB: "A creature can’t flank an enemy that it can’t see. A creature also can’t flank while it is incapacitated."

Therne reaches up with her quarterstaff and attacks the shadowy creature. Her reach fails her and the figure easily floats back out of her arc.[OoC]: Nero hasn't been online in a couple of days. If there's no sign of him in the next 3 hours or so, I'll make his move for him again.

Abner
"That was rough. Red, you okay?" He's a lousy doctor, but Abner does his best to check on the injured Tiefling. Medicine: 14
He sighs. "Let's get out of this house."
Adri walks over to Abner and kneels down to Red's side." He'll need these to wake up." She feeds a good berry to Red.
