Vimak has his shield and a throwing ax ready. He moves as stealthily as he can through the door at Y11: 7
in the back of his mind is the memento that was described to him, the mill, and the body in the crevasse. He plans to attack creatures or people hostile to him or the party.
Cirrus will untie himself from the rope. "This seems to be a secret door. One of you," he whispers towards Bastille and Vimak, "come over here and help me figure out how to open it." He is trying to coax one of them to use the Help action by helping him look for clues about the function of the secret door. Investigation check to see how it is supposed to be opened: 13 (w/ adv. from help: 10). Doing things like inspecting the edges and pushing is gently to see if it catches like a door and where/how. If nothing turns up,
Cirrus will mutter, "well, applying our brains didn't help," He turns to face Vimak and bows slightly, gesturing to the door, "Vimak, if you would apply some brawn?"
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
Vimak makes it across safely. As Does Bast. Despite the little effort anyone assisting provided, After pushing on one side of the door, it begins to slide open, with a soft, stone grating, revealing another room. In this room the door opens onto a five-foot-wide landing fifteen feet above a large cellar, with stone steps descending to the floor in two short flights. Another door stands beneath the stairs to the north. A large stone cistern occupies the western part of the room, whose walls are lined with kegs and barrels.
The room is poorly lit, but lit well enough that everywhere has at-least dim lighting. The water in the cistern itself seems more pure than any other you've ever seen. it's crystal clear like the water just off of famous 'earth' vacations locations. Visible through to the bottom. Otherwise, the area is unremarkable aside form the quality of the stonework. It doesn't appear there are any enemies.
For Cirrus
I truly owe you an apology. While the redbrands don't wear cloaks... I DID state that there were CLOAKS. It was part of module flavor text in the armory room. Today I had to DM instead of be a player because our DM couldn't make it, and my RL group is also in the place, and went tot the armory, and after i read that there were in FACT cloaks. I felt horrible.
So sorry Cirrus....
As an apology... I will offer you two choices.
1. 1 DM Inspiration point and 2 auto nat 20's on any TWO things involving a D20. You can expend these at will, or bank them.
Or
2. A single Rare Quality magic item to be found "soon". Picking from 5 items I will choose one for you to receive.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cirrus will enter the room and walk toward the pool, as he does he looks for any blood splatters on the floor or walls just in case this is some kind of ritualistic blood sacrifice room. Is that even worth a perception check? 17. He somewhat cautiously dips his hand in the water. Basic survival tells him not to drink stagnant water, but this water seems...unnaturally clear. Kneels at the cistern, cups his hands together, and raises them to his mouth to drink some of the water, hoping to deduce by taste alone if there is anything special or dangerous about the water, which I'm going to call a perception check, since it is dealing with his senses: 23.
If he believes it to be better than regular water in some obvious way,
he will empty his waterskin on the ground and fill it with the water of the cistern.
Once that is done, barring any convulsing from potentially poisonous/mind-controlling water, he will notice the kegs and barrels. Remembering the supplies they took form Klarg's base, Cirrus decides that there could be more useful things in here, and begins to open the containers to see if they store tools or just liquid.

As cirrus attempts to look into the water, he leans in at just the perfect time for a large chunk of dust to get into his eye, making it extremely itchy, but otherwise suffering no ill effects outside of annoyance. After a moment though, he see's that the room is as average a celler-like structure as he's ever seen. No signs of blood, or other such things. The water is frigid to the touch, though that is very likely due to the season rather than any magical/alchemical properties. As Cirrus takes a sip from the water, while he feels no positive or negative effects... this water tastes more refreshing and delicious than any other water he's ever had the pleasure of consuming... (think waterboy when he gets the north pole water)
Pouring out his old waterskin, and refilling it with the cistern water. After a moment, Cirrus notices there's a bucket and rope -likely used for similar activities to what he had just done- around the middle of the cistern. But then heads over to the barrels and begins inspecting them.
He starts by just opening a few to see what kind of things they store in them. It's right next to a delicious cistern, so maybe they're storing the water in these barrels and kegs. If he opens any that have objects and not water in them, he will begin looking through them thoroughly.

Having not seen any enemies, Vimak turns his attention to the door at Z14. Is it locked?
If he can see beyond it and it seems to be an exit, he says, "Let's check and see if there are guards at the other end of this tunnel. We could send the women and children out this way before continuing to search this place. How does that sound?"
As Cirrus begins to thoroughly check the barrels, he finds that they mostly contain things such as salted pork and beef, flour, sugar, apples, and ale. While not every container has anything, they are all variously one or more of the aforementioned items. It seems this is where they store their food and drink, whether for this base or for preparing to travel. Though you do notice that searching these barrels makes a lot of noise.
As Vimak begins to inspect the door, he finds that it's actually not locked at all, and opens easily, though it is much heavier than the other doors. As he opens it, frigid air rushes in from some unseen area outside, far down the tunnel. Likely this passage leads outside (I honestly can't remember what time of day it is so... 2... as it's early morning, the chill is deep and frigid enough to even nip, just barely, the goliath.
During this time, a pair of somewhat wounded redbrands walk out from the door on the opposite side of the room. Apparently they heard the shuffling of the barrels and came to inspect who or what was making so much noise while they were trying to rest. 711
They seem to still be rubbing sleep out of their eyes as they don't seem to recognize any of you, though they do see all of you who are visible. Ey... whats wif all the noise....
When Vimak suggested that he might have found a way to get the prisoners out, Cirrus would have said "That sounds like as perfect idea Vimak!"
When the Redbrands walk in, Cirrus freezes (I'm imaging he's on the north end, while Vimak is on the south end, and Bastille outside, albeit invisible). Cirrus will acknowledge them while keeping his back and face pointing away from Vimak. Confident on his disguise, Cirrus will try to explain himself while rifling through the barrel, "Sorry, mates, the boss was feeling a bit peckish and ordered me to fetch him somfin for breakfast." He ruffles through the barrel he's standing at, pretending to be looking for food for Glastaff, picking up a couple things that look good.
If the redbrands verbally acknowledge Vimak in a way that implies that they think Vimak shouldn't be out here (judging by the phrasing of "don't seem to recognize any of you," it sounds like they somehow don't know this Goliath is the same one they captured, so I guess this is a very roundabout way of saying thatI will decide when I do this action):
Cirrus will turn around, feign shock, and say, "Oi! what are you doin' 'ere? Aargh!" He pulls out his short sword and charges Vimak, hoping he will get the idea to take a dive. Cirrus will pathetically tackle Vimak, trying to look convincing. Hopefully, if Vimak falls, it will look convincing. Cirrus will pin Vimak down and shout to the other two Redbrands, "Oi! Get over 'ere an' 'elp me keep this guy down! Both of you get over here and help me! I can't hold 'I'm forever boys!"

Vimak remains calm. He's at the far east end of the room, so Cirrus is between him and the two Redbrands. He moves so his hand ax is behind his shield and waits.
He readies an action: If either of the two move within melee range of Cirrus, he will throw his hand ax.
Hearing the redbrands, Invisible Bastille turns around to look at the red brands. She decides to see if Cirrus has a plan. She readies herself to turn into an ape and attack the red brands the moment it looks like the party is engaging with them.
The redbrands squint their eyes, still looking exhausted and beaten, look to Cirrus, seeing he's wearing their stripes Oi... we musta had our ribs kicked in hardr than i thought... you look blue man! And I don't mean sad! one of the two of them chuckles and says Mm well mate, try to keep er down.... if soemone were to come in we'd be in bad shape.... Good idea keepin one of the bugbears with ya though... with a sigh, they both yawn and clutching their ribs, turn around and begin to head back inside the room they came out of. Leaving everyone that was there alone in that room, as they closed the door behind them.
"Or maybe we could try to get the victims out now that we have an exit? Although we don't know if any Redbrands are stationed beside the end of the exit... either way we need to get out of this room." Unless something happens that prevents it, Cirrus makes his way out of the room, receives Vimak's rope, and sidles along the wall across the loose floor.

Vimak stares at the door the two Redbrands closed. As quickly and quietly as he can, he piles all seven of the barrels in the cistern room against the door. He hopes that if the door opens out into the cistern room it will be impossible to open, given the weight of the barrels against it. The top barrel he leans against the door so that if it opens back into the room with the Redguards in it, the barrel will fall in to the bunk room, on top of the one who opened the door.
