Eventually after just a few attacks the pair fall, before the final blows are dealt, the extra attacks helping 'make sure' that everything is dead. The room falls silent, aside from your heavy breaths.
(I forgot to ask this but was there any chests or hiding places in the weapon room that Bastille saw when she explored it in spider form? She would like to hide the bodies there)
Bastape picks up the Red Brand corpses and moves toward the weapon room. She may not be able to hide the bodies but the bodies wouldn't be out in the open at the very least. Once that's done, Bastape looks like she's ready to kill the next set of bandits.
I Assume Bastille is also taking the bugbear to the weapon closet, but if not, Cirrus try to drag the bugbear corpse into the weapon closet too.

You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
That happens. However, you all notice that the base is unnaturally quiet - However.. something in the backs of your minds tells you that its not the same sort of quiet before the ambush. There's no tension in the air.

"Our fellow prisoner asked me to find her husband's memento. I think it may have been with the body in the pit. Should we check it out together or should I run down there on my own?" Vimak looks out toward the bridges. He is trying to perceive any movement in the cavern: 9.
Vimak see's no movement within the near darkness down there, nor does he hear anything moving or breathing. Whether this is because of his own inability or the actual lack of something there, he can't tell for certain.
whispers, "I don't think it's wise for any of us to go off on our own, unless we're invisible. If you're going to go look for it, we'll go with you."

"Thank you my friends," Vimak says. "Bastille, if you are more comfortable staying back as a lookout or backup, I understand." Vimak moves towards and down into the ravine. Assuming he is not interrupted, he will move to the body and quickly search it. If he finds nothing, he will scour the area for anything that looks out of place: 17.
If Cirrus is close by, can we help each other search?
Due to where he went down, he slips down but in such a fashion that bruises his buttox but is otherwise uneventful, like sliding down a loose-rock hill. His foot catches on a chest in the corner of the crevasse, just about where the wall would be if the wall came down this far naturally. On impact it didn't sound hollow. Vimak however remembers his foot bumping against something somewhere else within the crevasse at an earlier time... Cirrus can offer some slight help.

Vimak examines the chest: Perception: 21.
If he feels it is safe to try and open, he will try that. If he has worries that it might be trapped, he will put his shield between it and himself and use his ax to try and open it while holding his breath. If he is able to open it, he will examine the inside, looking for the memento. Anything of value, he will take. After he has looted the chest, he will move toward the body. Was it under one of the bridges?
If he does not feel safe about opening it and can pick it up without setting off any trap he will do that before searching for the body.
Once he finds the body, he will search it, hoping for the memento.
Vimak opens the chest easily, as its lock was damaged whenever it was tossed down here. As he opens it, he discovers the chest contains 160 sp, 120 gp, five malachite gems (15 gp each), two potions of healing, and a scroll of augury. Tucking them somewhere in his bags or belts. Vimak then began moving south, though it was dark, the path was easy to follow due to the walls of the crevasse. That same familiar cold, that seemed more supernatural than the wintry air chilled him just a bit, but compared to others, he was more fine than he otherwise would be. Eventually he finds himself in the same spot more or less, his foot comrs into contact with the same corpse that he had before. The being had clearly been eaten most of the way... but gleaming in the faint light, Vimak spots sword of exceptional make. If inspected, the body would come up empty... its possible this was what the woman sought.
Next to the body, Vimak will say, "Is this scroll something you can use, Cirrus? I doubt it is the memento. And I doubt the potions are either. The sword might be." He slings it on his back. "Once we have taken our revenge on the Redbrands, I will ask her. It is an extremely well made weapon." He will give one potion to Cirrus and one to Bastape, assuming they want them. "Once the Redbrands are gone we can divide the spoils as well. I promise," he says.
If the search has lead Vimak and others, and unless they have worries, far enough south, he suggests climbing out and moving toward 13F on the map. If they are still farther north in the pit, he suggests 6H.
Vimak continues to attack the Bugbear: 13 for 8 damage.
He is grinning, glad to be avenging the dead villagers.

Bastape is also going to go down there. She can't say much in ape form though
She does that.
