Bastille raises an eye brow at Vimak. She says, "What are you on about?"
OOC: Can I roll Arcana to see if Bastille can figure out what's wrong with Vimak? Also Ritual Cast Detect Magic if I have a minute. Arcana roll: 12. Trying to figure out what is wrong with Vimak and if the torch he picked up or the part of the wall he picked the torch from is cursed or something (because Vimak started acting weird after picking up the torch)
Regardless of what she figures out or not, Bastille will give Vimak a light bonk on the head with her staff (Not hard enough to hurt or do damage. It's kind of like how Rafiki bonks Simba on the head in the Lion King (original one. Not the remake)) . She will say, "Calm yourself. Nothing goes right if one panics. In terms of fiendish possession, it is especially important to keep calm. Let me try and see what's wrong with you. Give me a minute."
Over the course of the next minute as Bastille is casting her spell, the same questions get repeated within Vimaks head over and over, more intensely each time they go unanswered. Each time a lack of response is given, a little more anger seeps into the voice. But even as it echoes within Vimak's skull, it starts to echo in Bastille's and if cirrus gets close enough, his as well.
Vimak does .. intentionally or not, answer one of the questions during this time. Bastille can't quite imagine what would be causing this, but she feels that whatever it is is speaking to them telepathically. And that whatever it is, must be relatively close. At that thought, soft scratching, and the tumbling of tiny loose rocks is heard, but the echo of the cave once more disrupts its location. It's very likely a creature of some sort, but as for 'what' Bastille isn't quire sure. However once her ritual is complete, she is met with nothing. Whatever this is, or was, is not magical in nature. So whatever this might be, it's intrinsic to the creature using it.
Seeking a child? Perhaps I can help..... But what will you give in return? I seek sustainence... Flesh.......
After the spell is cast and experiencing the effects herself, Bastille tells the others, "I suspect the voice is a creature of some sort, communicating telepathically but without magic. Whatever it is, the source is close." Turning to Vimak she says, "You can relax. It's not demonic possession." She then speaks calmly to the creature, "I see you're a business man of sorts. Offering us what we want in exchange for something you want. However, how can we trust that you will keep your word when you have yet to introduce yourself."
you would feel a mental sense of smiling, with a massive mouth, full of teeth. Trust..... or do not..... The choice is yours~ But make it, or it shall be made for you~
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Again, Bastille would feel the shaking of a head in her mind. It seems you know not the position you are in.... You should not look a gift horse in the mouth, or so humans say.... I came ofering you a deal... and you are hung up on unimportant things... I shall take my feast from you then~
The being claws it's way up the side of the crevasse near the bridge, loosing stones and other such detritus as it does so, lunging at Bastille with its singular, massive eyeball staring at Bastille, within it's gaze, all she can see is her own death looming. Bastille must make a DC 12 CON save or take 9 Necrotic Damage.
If I had logged in sooner and saw the posts, I would have had Cirrus say the following (It doesn't affect the story so I don't think it matters if I retconned it in):
When Cirrus hears talk of desiring flesh, he says, "As a rule, if anything ever wants to eat flesh, I don't trust it. That's why I'm a vegetarian." And indeed, you cannot recall any time in your adventure when you saw Cirrus eating meat. Giving the jerky in his rations to his wolves.
Cirrus, thoroughly terrified by this creature and fearing for his mortal life once again, does the only thing he can think of to defend himself, he pulls out his pipes and plays an intensely high note,* casting Thunderwave. The creature is likely within 15 ft. of me, so it must make a DC 12 con save, or take 8 damage and be pushed back 10 ft. On a successful save, it take half that and is not pushed back. His bonus action depends on something:
If Bastille succeeds the con save:
TL;DR Vimak gets bardic inspiration: for 10 minutes you can add a 1d6 to one attack roll, saving throw, or ability check.
Cirrus will call to Vimak, "I wrote this song while we were preparing to fight Klarg,
"Oh that gob, gob, gob,
He's such a knob, knob, knob,
and quite powerful~...
oh yes that gob, gob, gob,
he's such a nob, nob, nob,
And quite powerful!
and though he isn't very green,
he is so very, very mean,
extremely dour, full of rancid spite
and yet I am quite frightened by his angry ways. his martial might.
how he never cares for wrong and right...
perhaps today we'll win the fight..."
If Bastile fails and takes the 12 damage:
Cirrus will cast Healing word on Bastille, healing her for 4 points of damage.
*If I was using any other instrument I would say a very low note because that makes more sense but I can't see pan pipes making a deep bass note.
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
Vimak had been inhaling slowly through his nose and exhaling slowly out his mouth to stay calm. When he sees the one-eyed thing climb out of the crevasse he almost sobs in relief and anger. If the crevasse is dark and deep behind it and it is within five feet of the edge, Vimak will shove it off the cliff using his shield. From his shield hand, he will drop the torch after it, hoping to see it well enough to throw hand axes next turn. Athletics to shove: 19
If it is more the five feet from the edge, he will attack it typically: Attack: 16, Damage: 9

Bastille easily bears the brunt of the withering gaze, washing over her like water on a duck. The creature was directly next to her. Shocked at how resilient these adventurers seemed to be. Vimak then springs into action, attempting to ram the creature over the edge. The Creature attempts to dodge it 8 just barely missing it's timing, as it's flung over the edge just enough to slip.
DC 15 5
the creature manages to sink it's claws into the rock, and does so successfully. Cirrus, seeing this moves in and begins playing a shrill note on his instrument before the booming sound of thunder echoes throughout the cavern. Bastille, realizing what you're doing, attempts to avoid the blast 5 managing to do so despite the thin walkway, taking only 4 damage, but feeling the surge of electricity flow through her nonetheless.
The Nothic however, 10 also manages to bear the brunt of the attack, also taking 4 damage. A moment later, the reverberation of the noise caused by the spell echoes back, having been exceedingly loud, and thunderous. Shouting can be heard from various angles, as the entire cavern uproars with the sounds of sudden action.
The Nothic, enraged, climbs back up the ledge, 'eye' to eyes with Vimak, and attempts to claw at the Goliath.
MA
Attack: 24 Damage: 12
Attack: 23 Damage: 7
The first sinking deep into the Goliaths shield-shoulder, the other missing entirely.
Bastille quickly moves her staff to point towards Cirrus as the thunderous force washes over her, quickly storing a portion of the energy and lessening the effect (Reaction: Absorb Elements to take 2 damage only) storing some of the energy. She turns to Cirrus and says, "These spells aren't children toys, be careful with them." She then hears the uproar and says, "Great, now we have the entire hideout alerted."
OOC: Before I take the rest of my turn, I need to now how much room I have. to move about. Being an elf, Bastille should have 60ft Dark Vision. Can I please get an updated map?
Bastille grabs her staff with both her hands and it glows for a split second. She then begins growing muscular and hairy until she transforms into an Ape. (Bonus Action Wild Shape into Ape).
Bastape then uppercuts the Nothic with fists charged with thunderous energy.
Fist 1: 8 Dmg: 7 Fist 2: 9 Dmg: 9
On first hit, Nothic takes extra 1 Thunder damage due to Absorb Elements

My computer has been crashing a lot these past few weeks, and right now I can’t roll. If someone else could roll for me I would appreciate it.
Cirrus will keep his eyes and ears out to tell how close the Red brands are to being on their current location.
For Cirrus’ action, he will command his wolves to attack the monster. 1d20+4 to hit (with advantage because of Pack Tactics) 2d4+2 piercing damage
and for the bonus action, let’s give a bardic inspiration to Bastille. For 10 minutes, she can add 1d6 to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.

Cirrus can hear motion all around him, coming from nearly every direction. But he can tell there are varying distances meaning people will trickle in at intervals. Though one person sounds closer than the rest. Both wolves take a bite at the Monstrosity.
Attack: 21 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Attack: 21 Damage: 8
One wolf tries but fails, while the other lands a solid hit. The Creature seems barely phased so far.
