You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
The next day and a half passes relatively peacefully. The Hobb and the orcs taking the lead. And though the first night was a bit tense with both sides not being entirely sure that the other side wasn't going to 'do' anything. But the following night, everyone more or less rested easily as no one attacked anyone else. The odd sense of eyes on your backs never left, but nor did it ever feel threatening.
As the sun rose on the third day, The hob and co doing their daily routines and eating their own version of 'rations' which is just raw legs and animal parts that they ate as-is. The light creeping over the hills and illuminating what looks like an abandoned fort off the side of the road. The hobbs turning to look at you all and pointing. Is Cragmaw Castle. We not alert them to you. You can go in how you wish. We will see who is superior. And if you are to be feared as king tell us. Prove worth to us. We will stay here and watch. Make sure of who win and who lose.
All of them sitting military style on the ground, though it was clear the Hobb was much more strict than the other two. It appeared they truly did intend to leave you all be.
In the distance.. The castle consists of seven crumbling towers of different sizes and heights, but the upper stories are all in varying states of collapse. A short flight of steps leads up to a terrace in front of the main entryway. Past the wreckage of a pair of sundered doors lies a shadowed hall. Round towers loom over the entranceway, with dark arrow slits looking down on the terrace.
Bastille whispers to the party, "So, how do you want to do this? Do we wish to go in from the front swiftly and violently or would you prefer to sneak around the back?"
"Well Bastille, in case you're not aware, I can cast about three interesting spells a day, then I'm tapped out. I think if we can get in nonviolently, whether it be by sneaking in or trying to appeal to the same sense of strength that made that hobgoblin help us, then we can conserve our strength for the redbrands. Maybe we can scout the perimeter to see what ways in there are? I have two spell scrolls: one for Augury and one for augury and one for charm person. One will grant us some insight whether we should or should not make a particular decision, and one will allow me to pull that trick I played on Klarg with out using up any of my spell casting power. I also have some caltrops so if we find ourselves in combat where we know where our enemies are going to travel, I can put that to good use."
OOC: I'm fairly certain that I had a spell scroll for Charm Person, I just need to find where I got it, if at all.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vimak is in favor of sneaking around outside the castle and learning as much about its occupants that way as possible. "Let's wait until dark or at least dusk," he says. "We should worry about being seen from the arrow slots," he says. Once it's dim out, he will start working his way around the castle, staying under the trees, about 60 ft. from the building, being as stealthy as he can: 6.
OOC: Are we at the Northeast corner of the map? Head east from there? How does that sound?
"I'm all for waiting 'til dark as long as our escorts don't get too impatient. Speaking of which..." Cirrus want to walk to the hob to ask him something, "You say your king told you we were dangerous? What exactly did he say? and can you by any chance tell us how he knew about us? we never met the king before, so I wonder how he knows of us."
P.S. I found where I got the scroll: on page 41 Bastille found the spell scroll for Charm Person, and on page 45 she gave it to me.

(Ooc - you would all be approaching from the 'southwest' sorry for not stating so.)
The group waits till the light is dimmer, With Cirrus approaching the Hobbs, while Vimak makes his way around the edges.
Vimak seems to be unable to take many steps without crushing or otherwise vandalizing various shrubbery, branches, dead leaves, and crunching heavily on the snow. Vimak stays hidden in the tree's as best he can otherwise. Making his way past the leftmost side first; Two staircases lead very rapidly upwards to a flat. At the top of that flat, while hard to see, as the fortress was higher than vimak's vision, it appeared as though the doors on that side were either destroyed or missing entirely, leaving a massive gap in the structure. It didn't seem like any creatures were keeping watch on the area.
One of the towers, as formidable as it appeared , Vimak, inching his way farther along the edge of the forest, can just barely see in the fading light, that part of the tower has crumbled to the ground, exposing a barely visible interior. It seems like it's filled with beds of military design. And a lone torch lights the area, but it's angle casts shadows out, making determining what they are specifically very difficult (DC 18 investigation). But it is clear that at-least several human-sized figures castign shadows into the mountainy-forest where vimak was at. A few smaller shapes, about the size of halflings or goblins or other similarly short races.
As he makes his way around, his crunching feet catch the attention of one of the creatures, and it looks out into the night, trying to determine what it was hearing. (V 12 - ? 17) Voices can be heard giving orders, and in almost military precision, several more human-sized Check that out! I hear something moving in woods, there... the figure can be seen pointing in Vimaks general direction. The figures begin to form ranks as they slide down the debris, weapons at the ready, moving at a fast-walking pace. Their line remarkably well-kept, moving 15 feet away from the debris in Vimak's general direction. It's clear they don't see him yet, but Vimak knows all goblinoids have some degree of darkvision.
Meanwhile, with Cirrus, The hob looks at him and laughs. Little blue man ask too many questions. Should cut his head off so he cannot ask more. Not obvious little man? You fight off Redbrands from own fortress. They lower rank than we, but still part of army. If you three fight them all off, King see you as threat. Is why Hob think king weak. If wanted, i could snap you in half, but chose this instead. Be fun to watch, see who win. And serve my own goal too. Reds come through day ago, tell us how much of *****es they are.
What he say? the hobb looks at you more as he stands up to his full height then, standing no less than a foot over your own head, looking down at you both literally and figuratively. From this close, you could see just how physically well built this Hobb was. His red flesh, strewn with veins and muscle. His arms rippling with clear evidence he does not skip a day of training. His mouth goes from a frown to a smirk. He tell us, bring you all in, alive or dead. As far as can see, If King wins, Job done. If you beat king? Problem solved. Either way, Me win.
Bastille stays near Vimak in the woods. When the shouting begins she looks up and says quietly, "Perhaps we can still try to salvage this." Her body begins to warp again. Before she transforms fully, she tells Vimak, "Stay further in the woods. Let's see if I can fool them." It seemed to her that the residents of the castle only knows there's something in the woods but not what. Bastille transforms into a Dire Wolf and attempts to fool whoever is sent to check out the noise into thinking that it was a random wild Dire Wolf instead of a Vimak. Since a fight seems unavoidable at this point to Bastille, if she manages to fool them, then they won't think that an attack is going to happen and if they aren't fooled, she will already be in a prime state to attack.
(OOC: Not sure if it's Performance or Deception but I have a +3 for both: 22)
(I'm trying to basically fool them into thinking that the noise was a wild animal and NOT the party. If it works, I'm hoping that whoever that was sent to check the noise out doesn't tell the whole castle that the party is here.)
(I think Cirrus is too far away to do anything about this. I don't think he yet knows that Vimak's stealth plan has nearly failed.)

The Hobb-formation line continues approaching, getting closer by at-least thirty more feet before they spot the large wolf. Seeing that it was a wild animal, and though not necessarily native to these parts, could have wandered in.. They begin to clang their weapons together making loud noises, trying to shoo it off.

Bastille acts as much like a scared animal as she can manage before running into the forest. She tries to keep listening for if the Hob formation goes back inside the castle.
Perception: 17 (To keep track of where the enemies are going and what they are doing)
She also tries to hide in the forest in her wolf form. Stealth: 15
It takes a few minutes, but eventually the Hobbs all form ranks and pull an about-face, before marching to the left side of the fort, and splitting into two groups, each heading up one side of the stairs, until eventually disappearing into the fort itself. Eventually, what sounds like a report is heard as no more than a mumble from the tower they previously came out of.
Bastille successfully hiding, and can tell with ease they they have all more or less gone back to wherever they had been previously posted.
Cirrus, intimidated by the hobgoblin, excuses himself from the conversation, "Ah. Right then, I think I will go see how my team's recon mission went. Toodles!" he fast-walks to the edge of the tree line that Vimak and Bastille went into, attempting to try and see the situation a very safe distance from the castle. Perception: 9

I'm pretty sure everyone is following the goblins to Cragmaw. At least, that's what Bastille is doing: following the goblins.
