Dollus lost himself in stories of wondrous wizards and daunting dragons found in books. One of the quieter children of the orphanage, he was target for the bullies who tore is books, smacked his food from the table. Not harbouring any hate for them; he was aware the dire situation they were, the love they were being left out on. His bright mind caught the attention of a professor at a nearby academy in his mid-teens. There he helps the running of things and, to his delight, runs into the odd wizard. Longing to see the world he hears from their tales, he thought that was never to be... until he bumped into a psuedodragon on his way back to the academy.
Appearance: Frail, slim young male donning simple brown robes. Slightly hunched, and usually carrying a notebook at the ready as well as his belongings.
Personality: Bookish, but left nervous after near-constant bullying in the orphanage. However, a deep curiosity for magic and dragons drives this boy into places he usually has second doubts about being in, but answer push him forward...
Appearance: Thunder Blue (self-named) is bronze-skinned tall, capable-looking aasimar. Metallic tattoos across his forehead into his dark blue hair suggesting it goes all the way around, his almost-glowing blue eyes suggesting his supernatural being. His layered blue robes, trimmed with flowing, arcane runes. A glowing crystal shining with the same blue in his eyes.
Basically this with darker skin, much shorter beard and dark blue hair:
Personality: With power flowing through him, Thunder Blue uses his smarts to do what he can to help the lesser capable people, while wanting to see the wonders of the world and witness his now great destiny.
Varnus Oak never wished for this power, but it came to him, he has been afraid to actually make use of it, until a failed theft oblidged him to, weak but smart, he was still outsmarted by the thugs, and they caught him, so he finally decided to use it... the room where the ambush took pplace stood red after that happening. he promisses to avoid using it again, but sometimes, some things can't be helped
Varnus oak is a thief, calm and calculated, lived his life on the streets, tricking others with his knowledge, despite poor he learned to read at a young age and that kept giving him more and more knowledge, later he has joined a thief's guild and led a small group of his "co-workers", but after an "accident" most of them were killed, now he is running from his old allies.
Red rage is a sadistic alternate, Varnus hates this form for all he does whenever he apppears, while he's thankful that he has actually survived multile times only thanks to it, this form is sadistic, if an enemy dies, death's not enough, it mangles the corpse afterwards. Most times it can distinguish friends and foes, but sometimes it loses all control, and rage is all it know... the worst memory of this hapening is when, after being almost stabbed by one of his previous collegues he transformed but ended with no wounds on himself, instead, mangled teammates surrounded him. This personality wants to keep hold sometimes, but its hold over the individual is limited.
[Mechanically I'd want to play the Red rage by launching 1d6 on transformation, on a 2-6 I'd play it the best way possible, on a 1 it has no sense of alliance, attacking whomever is closer... on the character's strategy this would also mean he'd always want to go "into the fray" before transforming making a high risk character as well.... please tell me if this is not accetable and I'll modify my character]
Proper fantasy setting, though if you'd like to be a human from Earth that got spirited away to the fantasy land that'd be cool.
About the two campaigns, I'll let ya'll decide for yourselves which group to join, since I figure some of you may have other players' characters that you want to interact with.
I'm thinking 2nd campaign, cause I wanna be a Ranger, but I don't really wanna have two rangers in the party. Also, will there be a decent amount of Fey in the campaign? I want to have them as my favored enemy, but I don't want to pick them if there aren't going to be nearly any Fey in the entire campaign, same with the favored terrain of forest.
Let me think. No Fey planned in the first five quests I have planned out, though I could throw some in at certain points. One quest I have planned takes place in a forest (no two quests are in the same terrain type so far so that's the best you could do).
EDIT: DeltaEdge27 yes, I'm looking for 10 total, you'd be the 9th if I'm counting correctly (one player has PMed me a concept but hasn't posted in the thread yet.)
Jean grew up on stories about dragons and princesses and knights in shining armor, and became absolutely enamored with the idea of chivalry and courtly romance. For most of his life, when not being educated in noble affairs, he would read about knights, dragons, royalty, legends, myths, romances, and everything that could possibly relate to the subject of knights and heroism. In his readings, he also developed an appreciation for art, nature, and literature, especially poetry. He even writes his own poetry. Jean is an incurable romantic, and it is his dream to become a "Knight in Shining Armor." Unfortunately, Jean is extremely timid and demure, growing up in a family full of aggressive and domineering personalities, being the youngest of three brothers, both of his brothers being rowdy, boorish, and arrogant, and both of them deriving joying from harassing their younger brother. His father, a strict and temperamental man with militant inclinations, was constantly busy with family affairs, and his mother, while a kind and gentle woman, could never really control his brother's behavior, in spite of her best efforts. Thus, Jean, who even as a young boy was shy and sensitive, had to endure constant torment at the hands of his brothers. This, combined with his lack of exposure to peers his age, led to an extremely timid doormat of a man with a crippled sense of self-worth. Yet still he held on to his dream, hoping that one day, he would have the chance to become that Knight he always wanted to be. And then, on a night of a full moon, he had a dream
(Put the actual contents of the dream as I fear it'll make the post too long.)
He was in a forest at night, at night, alone save for the moon. As he explored the forest that he stumbled across a strange sight: a grove that was completely empty, save for a single red rose lit by the silvery light of the moon. Jean was mesmerized. He couldn't help but approach it.
He was then torn between picking up the rose to better admire its beauty, and leaving it be, so as to not ruin its beauty. Unable to resist temptation, he picked up. He then heard a melodious voice call out his name. Alarmed, Jean turned to the woman, and laid eyes upon the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
Her impeccable, alabaster skin glimmered under the silvery light of the moon. Her hair was a carnal shade of red that reached past her thighs and wove like a flame in the breeze. Without being told who she was, Jean knew who this woman, this goddess, was: Sune.
The Lady of Love then spoke: "Hail, my fair knight. I have chosen you to be my champion." Jean, understandably, was astonished. He could hardly believe his senses. Here was the goddess of love and beauty, the one deity he prayed to above all others, standing right before him, asking him to be her champion. This had to be a dream.
Who would choose him as their champion?
"Surely, this is a mistake," he said, "I mean, I couldn't be a knight. I'm a weakling, and a coward, and a fool. There are surely others far better suited to such an honor."
His doubt apparently amused Sune, for she laughed daintily, before she spoke: "You need not doubt yourself. There could be no other, but you. Now: will you become my champion?"
Jean hesitated. Then, for the first time in his life, he spoke with conviction: "I will." There was a flash of silver light, red flames, and rose petals.
It was on the day, after he awoke that he encountered a pseudodragon, claiming to be a messenger from Sune. And thus, Jean became Gallant Rose
Gallant Rose is what Jean thinks a Knight should: gentlemanly, chivalrous, courageous, and always ready to protect the weak. He is eager to help the helpless, and always willing to provide his services to those who need it. Still, Jean's gentle and servile nature still manages to shine through, still he is a romantic at heart. In spite of his heroic exterior, his lack of self-worth still continues to manifest itself.
(Additionally, the reason he is a dragon born is because I kind of envisioned the "dragonborn body" to be his "armor", not because he actually becomes a dragonborn).
Appearance: Black Feather-like Hair, Pale Skin. Wearing poor shabby clothes. When he transforms, his hair envelops him, before he emerges as Black Arrow
Backstory:
Feth is from 1984 Earth. Feth was a hermit by choice, because he found out that magic was real, albeit extremely scarce in Earth, he spent the next 20 years or so researching magic, how to obtain it, and how to use it to fuel society. One day, he made a breakthrough, inventing a device that could detect the biggest source of magic, and lead him to it, he followed the magic compass far and wide, taking at least a month of travel to arrive at a crack in space-time, one that was leaking magic out of it, ”I've done it! I've found true magic! Now I just need to use it!” Feth thought to himself, but just as he was writing down his findings in his notepad, the crack started sucking in everything around it, including Feth, he attempted to run away, but the pull was so strong that he was sucked away into the crack, the last thing he saw was the crack closing behind him, before he passed out. He woke up in a world of magic, everywhere he looked, magic, everything seemed to be magic, when he pulled out his magic compass to see if it was truly magic and not some kind of trick or hallucination, the compass spun out of control before bursting into flames, destroying his life work, but not without purpose, because now that he was here, he could finally get information about magic, from magical beings.
Appearance: Tall, with purple skin and black hair. Wears gold bands around her wrists (which may or may not be hers) and a long red scarf.
Chaotic Good.

Delmyth Alumalis was a gambler first and a runner second. Anytime she wasn’t in a casino or tavern playing cards, she ran. Not only from crime scenes, but from her family as well. Worried, they made a deal with a mysterious stranger to get their daughter back. In a game in which she unknowingly gambled her soul, Delmyth lost and was about to be killed when a pseudodragon fought off the stranger (demon) and rescued her, giving her power to fight the demon’s possession (on the condition that she give up her life of crime, of course.)

Sign me up! This sounds epic! I'm noticing a lot of people from Waterdeep: Gates Wide Open are double dipping into this campaign (Including me)
Will edit this post with character details
Should the level 0 character be a human? Or is this a proper fantasy world? I'm kinda imagining this as earth, but there are some magical people.
Edit: Looking back, you already have 5 or 6 people wanting to join, so I'll probably have to be in the second campaign

Hmmm, what about Undead? Undead and Fey are the two types I'm thinking between, so hopefully there's a decent amount of one of those.
The proud owner of over 8000 hours in Terraria.
Send help pleaseNothing undead yet either, but again undead minions are easy to work in. Gotta pad out the dungeon before the boss somehow, hehe.
Hmm, I’ll go with Undead, seems like that’d be easier to work into the story without disrupting the flow of things. Nearly done with the characters!

Great!
I think I’ll stick with the Gnome/Goliath Sorceress character I originally posted. Are you going to have a campaign setup on here to join?
Good idea, let me make the campaigns right now.
EDIT: Here they are!
Team Black Star: Magicians ★ Magical Dungeon!
Team White Star: Magicians ☆ Magical Dungeon!
Team white star it is, I was going to go to black star, but now that there's no ranger in either, I’ll go with white.
P.S. Which character should I join with? My normal character, or my magical character?
