When Persephone kills the last bandit, the blonde lowers her sword and shield and breathes a sigh of relief. "No problem, Misha." She gives the acheronian a smile as she stows away her weapons and looks over Corrin and her wounds.
"I'm fine, mom, promise! Just stings a little, 'sides, you told me pain builds character!"
Amelia chuckles lightly, and pulls away from her daughter. "I did, I did, but you can't help your mother worrying about you." She then looks around to see what Jill and Misha had been talking about. "Er... Let's say that it was natural selection that did this to them and move on, yeah?"

"Sure thing." And Jill opens the bag that she got from the toymaker that took her to Waterdeep and pulls out one of the toys: a paddle that's connected to a small rubber ball by a thin string. She begins swinging it, trying to see how many times she can hit the ball before messing up.

Meep eyes Jill quietly for a minute at the mention of a pet frog before she dusts herself off, feeling drained of most of her arcane power. "Let's just hope it's smooth traveling for the rest of the day eh? Anyway... Where did that demon come from, and why did it come from that bandit?"

Jill sees Meep staring at her after she mentioned the pet frog. "It wasn't like you. It didn't talk or cast spells or anything like that. It just hopped around and ate whatever bugs I fed it. It was still my friend though. Until some kid decided to step on it and kill it."

OOC: Shadar kai are immortal - if killed, their souls reappear back in the Shadowfell, where the Raven Queen (if she likes them) yells at them, puts their soul back into a new body, and then sends them back out into the planes to do her bidding. They don't really understand or fear death, hence her confusion about the souls of the bandits we just killed. She thinks they'll come right back.
Jill turns from her thoughts and responds to Persephone. "These bandits are not going to come back unless someone brings them back. I do not know how things work in the Shadowfell, but here, dead things tend to stay dead."

Continuing along the Trade Road, we past the town of Triel to the town of Scornubel. Scornubel was a vast city teeming with people, especially in the summer months, when its population doubles, triples, even quadruples in size or more as countless traders pass through the city from across the Sword Coast and beyond. From here, we would travel west along the River Chionthar passing the towns of Elturel, and Fort Morninglord - finishing up at Baldur's Gate.
At Scornubel, people of all sorts elbowed past us as we waded through a crowded market pavilion. The sound of merchants hawking their wares, the music of a half dozen buskers, and an untold number of people chattering amongst each other turned into a disorienting sea of noise.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

You know the secret patterns and flow to cities and can find passages through the urban sprawl that others would miss. When you are not in combat, you (and companions you lead) can travel between any two locations in the city twice as fast as your speed would normally allow.
