Stuffing Gramps further into his sheath so further commentary might be muffled, Sarah turns to the stranger that had shown up on the battlefield. His intervention was quite timely.
"Hi, I'm Sarah. Thanks for your help with the priestess and... Em. What brings you into this hellhole?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After dealing with the grisly decapitation, Thomas kneels down beside the parts and searches carefully for anything of use and value, avoiding touching the Hela holy symbol. As he does so, he comments over his shoulder. "Yes, indeed. Welcome into the dark recessed of the human mind, where evil lurks and grows. I'm Thomas Rierson, ersatz wizard, scout and general ne'er do well."
The newcomer sees a broad shouldered man dressed in a high-tech Ghillie suit over what seems to be dark armor, covering him almost completely, even his face. Other features are not visible at this time. Slowly, over the course of a minute, the armor and Ghillie components fade into a more mundane outfit of leather tunic over a dark plaid shirt, dark jeans, revealing the weather-worn face of a mid-20s, brown eyed, short brown haired man. With two short swords at his belt, and a crossbow hanging off his back, he seems unarmored while armed. His owl lands next to him, and the two seems to be communicating as he searches the body.

She also does a perusal of the general area, looking for anything of note or out of place.
"I'm surprised she spent the pool's magic on making zombies and not better choices. I could sure enjoy having a magic crossbow or sword, even our armour." Thomas muses. "We should secure this place and get some of our own forces in here to guard it. The civilians will need to be helped, as I doubt they care about Hela or any Goddess - just survival."

In the cleric's quarters you find some PPA style clothing that indicates that she is from the upper echelon of Protectorate society.

Long rest so everyone is feeling much better. Home is a fair distance away, about a week's travel, some of it through Protectorate territory..
Aleister looks a bit disappointed, "One would think that such a pool would be useful, but in what way I have no idea. I mean, fundamentally, turning things into zombies is a bit different thatn magiking up a sword, or whatever. Those sorts of things are not living and, I know zombies aren't either, but they are closer to the sort of hoccus pocus one would expect of witchdoctors and such. Maybe there is something in the pool that is affecting the water? We haven't really checked it out that closely; do we want to?"

Thomas Sends a message back home (casting as many times as needed in 25 word increments), detailing what they found and what's needed to protect it, as well as getting information and messages back to the group. Afterwards he sets up Alarms around the camp, using Galdur's Tower if needed to seal entrances against intruders and provide comfort. He also Arcane Locks the trap door to the magic room and puts up Continual Flame objects around the area to keep it very well lit.
"Do we want to introduce ourselves to the civilians and help them where we can, in the morning?"
The next morning, after everyone is feeling a lot better, Thomas refreshes all their spells while they decide what to do next.

Hai, name’s Blaize. Once a merchant but lost everything after the Change. Was living my peaceful life until I started to notice unusual activity with the cult troops. Followed them to see what was happening. Then I found your group, fighting against an creepy monster and a possessed woman. Nice to meet ya.

oh... okay.
Now:
OOC: Can Ranger prepare new spells during long rests?
Hmm, defending our base from monsters? I feel like I’ve heard that term before... Not my expertise because I only have the most useless trick in the world. Wasn’t hoping this was going to happen.
He uses his actions to cast longstrider to every single ally. They now have +10 to movement feet for one hour. When the longstrider ends, he casts them again until the enemies arrive. I know it’s probably useless but just in case we get overpowered by our enemy.
OOC: Also can someone remind me when we get to a shop to get more ammunition for the longbow and extra rope for ‘snare’. Thanks.
Fire bolt- Shoot a streaking ball of fire towards a foe and deal a measly 1d10 fire damage. Use eldritch blast instead.
Fireball - Drawing magic from your inner reserves, you unleash a devastating nuke that explodes in a circle, hitting multiple enemies, and burning them to a crisp with a godly amount of 8d6 fire damage. Make your DM’s fights look like garbage. It’s also a nice way of TPK your entire party and have them triggered at you for the rest of the week.

The civilians have fled in abject terror. One of the tricks of bringing people into a cult is to make them do something so horrible that they believe that they can never go back to their previous lives. The civilians where given the choice of join (by doing a terrible deed) or join by becoming a zombie.

You choose available spells as normal.
I don't worry too much about keeping track of ammunition. It will only become relevant if you get into a situation where restocking is not possible for an extended period. A long overland trip through wilderness for example.

OOC: Scrolls! Check the chat threat :)
Scroll Number + Day To Make:
Levels 1-5 caster level x 1
Levels 6-10 caster level x 2
Levels 11-15 caster level x 3
Level 16+ caster level x 4
I'm thinking 1 day per spell level
For healing in particular but lots of other uses too.
