Gregor nods to Niossae, but clicks his tongue at Tren.
"I did not expect you to cower, just so we're clear. Just mindful. As for how far did we make it, it hasn't been all that far."
He pauses to look between what little light can be seen past the canopy along the way back to relative safety.
"Still noon.. ish. Huh... We made more time than previously expected."
Shaking his head, he looks back to Tren.
"And I was being sarcastic about the coin. 20 gold a piece is little different than 5 for those wishing to truly be prepared. And that is keeping in mind both my own forfeit of coin, and any further division of spoils to a "party loot", I believe the phrase is. Better to save up for something more useful than what will amount to a vicious cycle at this juncture... That aside, for everyone's sake, I concur on that focusing fire a little more there."
Gregor goes quiet at that point, intending or at least appearing to ignore Trogan's question for a while at least.
"... We are far enough in that resting along the way will be the wisest course of action, regardless of what an individual has or has not available. During which we can vote, though I believe I made my stance clear on the subject."
He intends not to say more at that point, again adjusting the heading to where they last met the soldiers arrive. As soon as there he finds whatever log or stone might be available, and just slumps in his seat, appearing to pass out on the spot.
(In case it wasn't clear, Gregor would prefer to stay in, but doesn't mind heading back and just full resting for the day. Level one is rough on resources for most!)
(In case we do manage to Short Rest, rollinhg the die now for sake of expedience: 9.)

If we take a short rest before hunting some more, then Niossae will sit cross-legged and pull out a large tome from his backpack, and pour over several pages several times. When the short rest is over, he'll put it away carefully into his backpack and prepare to move on.
OR
If heading back to town, Niossae will keep an attentive eye out for dangers during the march.
"Let's assume we continue to hunt the kobolds" trogon says, " then do we have hunters to find the proper tracks AND once we find the tracks judge how far behind we are." "Walking in an ambush is not something I like and may kill us for real next time."
Trogon sits back and studies his apple. Listening to the sounds of nature, enjoying his apple he feels at home, even though this forest harvests a lot of evil. He lays back, hands behind his head and closes his eyes...

"I agree Gregor Mindful it is, But I think 20 gold could fetch us room and board for a few hours. Niossae dos have a point why would it change if we come back after a long rest. Tomorrow early in the morning."
Tren gives the Druid a sideways glance as he watches for trouble
"Your an odd fellow Trogan. My understanding of Druids are that they are excellent trackers. I have a bit of Survival
Skills myself, perhaps with Niossae and Gregors's help, we can track whatever comes our way"
Trogon starts a story about the different types of druids. There's healer druids, tank druids and also spa druids. The thing they have in common is their love for nature. He talks and talks and all the time remains laying. Eyes closed and hands behind his head, enjoying his surroundings.
" It's a bit like saying that 'oh you're a barbarian, you must be brainless and huge'. I'm just a nature loving druid, not yet very good at tracking anything. Maybe when I grow up"
Trogon smiles at Tren. He turns over on his belly, hands supporting his head and stares off into the distance thinking how it would be like being a real druid.

[ooc]Lyon has to take a short rest or she'll be down again in one hit. If you guys prefer to keep going I can have her just wait back at camp.[/ooc]
"I need to rest at the very least. If I'm going to slow you down I can return and wait for you all to come back. I'm sorry but I'm not used to combatting so much yet." If we take a short rest: "Thank you for the offering the berry Tren but I think we should save it if we're going to keep going. If we're going back then I might take you up on the offer. I'm still very much out of my element out here. I will try to keep going if you all would prefer, assuming you still want me to be part of your group after that."
Gregor grudgingly looks up and cants his head at Tren.
"A few hours? Twenty gold is enough to pay up for at least a couple weeks in advance. Unless you're planning to live it up a little. Though, that aside. The largest difference is just getting the most out of a single day. That, and certain targets are likely to be about at certain times."
He waves his hands off-handedly.
"In either case, I've made my point clear on the subject. And seeing that I am clearly outvoted, even if some have danced around their decisions, we can head back after this break.... But I will say this."
Gregor steeples his fingers together. And although his mask heed his face, his posture gave off a feeling of deadly seriousness.
"As partly mentioned by another -- I believe, and now again from me, I feel it worth repeating for the future. Be more conservative where you can in the future when it come to resources. As deadly as things can feel at times, you do not want to panic, and exhaust all your options on the first thing you encounter. That will eventually lead not only to your death, but to death of others as we delver deeper, and inevitably find it harder to get back to relative safety."
The warning given, Gregor again slumps forward in his sleep, intent on rest and recover a little. Then head back to town with the rest without further complaint.
(To (Virst included!): Aside from rebuttal, comments, stories, etc., if we can short rest and make it back safetly, can we just skip to the next day following a long one. Or are we to wait on PCs from other threads for this to keep the days in sync or something?)

(To Trenet: head cant(turn) to the side, as if confusion, curiosity, or.. mild annoyance)
(To All: Guess we do that then! True to his word, more or less, Gregor is forfeiting his part of the bounty. So, if people want to divide that up, or put it to like getting some better armor, they are free to. As for Gregor forfitting his bounty: I don't mind getting extra money and accept and respect that Gregor is a man of his word but maybe you can donate your money to your deity or a good cause?
As for spending money: at this moment I have no intentions of going in town and buy things. If possible (and available) I would like to try and get information on these kobolds and maybe look for another assignment as well as a backup.

(Same here, don't want to roleplay a whole shopping or evening in town. Lets pay for food and lodging, maybe pick up a secondary task, then pick up back in the forest on the next day?)
When, if we make it back to town and when we collect our share of the bounties Tren will find a Cartographer to buy a map of the Dreadwood and the town they're at. buy 40 more crossbow bolts. And at the inn where they stay he'll ask around the tap room about locations they found monsters, kobolds and other creatures in the Dreadwood and make notes of it on the map. Then when he thinks he has got as much info as he can he goes to his room and gets his 8hrs
Then he'll get back with the group in the morning to head out
(To Tumbledee: The good cause IS making sure others get better gear, so that they can keep the Civvies safer from the dark, and terrible woods~:P) ( Gregor is also not quite that kind of a person. He has a deity 'nd all that, but the relationship is a bit different than most.)
(Virst will have the final say, but I wouldn't worry about having roleplay purchasing mundane stuff(excluding a map). Just make a small list on thread or in a PM for the DM noting the purchase just to expedite things.)
For DM:
On that note, Gregor would just purchase from town(only showcases PHB prices): 10 Flasks of Oil - 1gp 1 Healer's Kit - 5gp 1 Grappling Hook - 2gp
