" should we not scout the entrance or this area for some time?" Trogon whispers slightly troubled. " Sounds we might be in over our head with all the activity going on. After all we are relatively inexperienced, don't know what and how many are inside AND the area is unknown to us AND it's dark underground which might pose extra problems for some of you...." Trogon turns around to focus his attention to nix again, lays his hand on his shoulder and says to nix: "Nix, wait a sec. Maybe we first need to do something else. Let us talk it over."

Niossae nods, "I can see in the darkness for some distance.  But I agree, we should ambush whatever exits this cave for a while to thin them out before we go inside."

"I'm needing a torch if I go in there. Unless someone else has a light source. I cant use my crossbow."

he whispers

Nix stays, seemingly puzzled by the group's decision. "Clan signs is mostly stabby things, with green stuff on the end. If no green stuff, then bad way." Nix answers.

Tren lights another torch then hands it to Trogon 

"You are less likely to purposely engage someone, face to face."

swallowing nervously 

"Lets bloodywell go inside lead the way Nix"

Trogon gives back the torch, slightly pissed. "I can see better in the dark then you can and where did WE decide to go in. I may have been fighting from the back the previous fight but I can manage fine enough. The only reason why I'm going to hold back this fight is that I'm your main source of healing." While saying this Trogon realises the presence of nix and how this might come across to him. All sorts of things cross his mind; the time nix may stay charmed, terminating nix' "friendship", exiting the cave, showing he's to be taken serious in a fight, the trouble he's walking into..... Then he says just loud enough so the group can hear him clearly: "STOP!" Followed by a silence. " We appointed Gregor as our leader. I think it's reckless to go in like this. Tren really wants to go in. I say we let Gregor decide. " Looking around to the others for confirmation....

Gregor had been uncharacteristically quiet and distant, but had paused as per the original request before stepping inside. After Trogon's more firm 'STOP' however, he sighs heavily and while keeping himself positioned so that the entrance stayed in the peripheral, stepped closer to the huddle. 

"First off, you are incorrect in assuming you are the only one that possess the ability to heal... Though that said, I did warn caution on that front."

He chuckles, but without much mirth behind his voice.

"Secondly, Nix. You said other hunters. They leave same time as your group? Or come out at different time?"

He asks simply. While waiting for Nix to consider the question, the mask turns in the rough direction of others.

"Scouting out the area. This was brought up.. expressed. Whatever the word. Yet far too many of the wrong ones lack the gift of sight to not give way themselves in there. And the little one's magic will not hold for very much longer. So, if other hunters are out, we lie and wait out here, and see that Nix to the world of dreams. If they are not, we have no other choice but to risk things at this point."

He stuffs his hands in his pockets as he looks more fully to the cave entrance.

"If it is the latter, we move however swiftly we can with Nix as our guide. If need be, refresh the charm even. Though it should not come to that so long as there is no more 'discussion' time wasted. Does that work for everyone?" 

He turns back to the others, and after seeing their answer, gives Nix the go ahead to speak. 

“Aye” Trogon says quietly. Sometimes he thought gregor choose his words deliberately so he couldn’t understand completely. Expensive words. Riddled words. Then again, he was appointed leader for a reason and they had survived the previous encounter. “Say the word and I’ll charm him again. But world of dreams is good too. Nix brought us where we want to be, right?” Then he turned to tren and said: “if you still have that torch for me.......I wouldn’t mind. The cave looks darker then I first thought”.

Confused Tren hands the torch back to Trogon

He whispers to  Gregor I'm more worried about those flanking holes right now."  

"i Have a good vision in the dark so i can open an eye for anything" Said Kain while unsheating his blade and advancing with the others.

Niossae waits for Nix to say if there are hunters out and about, or not.

Gregor chuckles mirthlessly.

"In a Kobold Cavern, they will be the least of our worries. A worry, still. But the least of them."

He whispered, then aloud speaks to the others.

"When we do enter, it is best we avoid separating no matter how tempting the bait. But if not possible, remembering our friend's here warning. At the very least, those areas will be the least peppered with prepared trouble." 

Trens confusion turns into annoyance

"Well, do we bloody enter the cave or not Gregor? Make it simple Lad our torch is burning much like our magic."

"let's go just go in. I would again like to point out that our friend nix is soon becoming more of a burden than a help. He can't do much more than lead us in but how difficult and labyrinthish can this cave be?" Trogon wonders. "Or set a real big fire at the entrance and smoke them out".

Choosing to ignore Tren to address Trogon instead first.

"That will do nothing more than scatter them. As mentioned by our friend Nix here, they have other, smaller tunnels both within and without. We'd only be setting ourselves back."

Gregor sighs, and gives Nix one last look to see if they would answer his last question before shaking his head.

"... But fine. Let's be off then. Nix will remain with us as a speaker for now. Just remember his warnings, and my own. Kain. You're up front with Nix. Followed by Trogon and Tren. Let's keep it to pairs for now."

With that, he motions for kain to lead the way inside. 

As they enter the dungeon Trogon casts "shillelagh" on his quarterstaff giving it a faint blue glow and a short crackling before it disappears again.

Enter look for traps and whatever
