When you leave the room, you can see the entrance to another small room - if you decide to check that one as well, you'll find the following:
This dark room contains a wooden tub with clawed feet, a small iron stove with a kettle resting atop it, and a barrel under a spigot in the east wall. A cistern on the roof used to collect rainwater, which was borne down a pipe to the spigot; however, the plumbing no longer works.
Examining the small room, the claw markings draw his attention. Yet the cistern and plumbing system as well. "Back at home we used a similar method to direct water. Most of the times through the rock itself. Sometimes using magic to push or pull the water flow and to contain it in specific areas if not using a contraption to do so." - pausing and realizing where he is at he adds - "Sorry. Home hit me hard. I will examine this place and the markings."
Kai glances around curiously, having given a small laugh at Bukowyr's comment previously. She remains near the door as she scopes out the room for anything else hidden around.

"Lady Kayla, to make your breathing easier you might want to put a clean clothe over your face tied up behind your head." - the Svirfneblin ponders for a few seconds and turns back to the others - "Up the stairs, then?"
The top of the stairs you find a bare hall choked with dust and cobwebs. There are four rooms which you'll be able to.enter without any issues or traps:
A spare bedroom with a slender bed, a nightstand, a small iron stove, a writing desk with a stool, an empty wardrobe, and a rocking chair. A smiling doll in a lacy yellow dress sits in the northern window box, cobwebs draping it like a wedding veil.
A storage room packed with old furniture (chairs, coat racks, standing mirrors, dress mannequins, and the like), all draped in dusty white sheets. Near an iron stove, underneath one of the sheets, is an unlocked wooden trunk containing the skeletal remains of someone, wrapped in a tattered bedsheet stained with dry blood.
Another room with a slender bed, a nightstand, a rocking chair, an empty wardrobe, and a small iron stove.
And one room with the door locked from the outside.
More dust? Kayla grumbles to herself that, really, she should have learned prestidigitation. Doing her best to breathe shallowly, she follows the others. Peering through her watery eyes, she shudders seeing the skeleton. Had others tried to solve the mystery of the house before them? Could... No, she was just frightening herself now. Shifting her grip on her hand crossbow, she continues on.
Kai stops to investigate the skeleton from a distance. How did they die? How long ago? Who were they?
Medicine check?: 11
She then moves to the locked door. "Should we... open it? The lock is on THIS side..."
A closer inspection to the skeleton, ignites the a ghostly reaction from the corpse, it moans and screams just as the specter that you fought in the nursery did, but it doesn't escape the bones as if it was now bound to them.
After that, you noticed clear marks of several stab wounds that undoubtedly would've be cause of death.
The lock in the door is made from the same material as the key found in the library by Kai.
At the sign of the spectre, Kai immediately dashes backwards from the slightly moving bones, moving to close the door after her while everyone else waits in the hall. "Stabbed to death. We're just going to... leave that... there." Kai digs into her bag, pulling out the key from earlier. "Are we heading inside? Most armored in the front?"

This room contains a bricked-up window flanked by two dusty, wood-framed beds sized for children. Closer to the door is a toy chest with windmills painted on its sides and a dollhouse that’s a perfect replica of the dreary edifice in which you stand. These furnishings are draped in cobwebs. Lying in the middle of the floor are two small skeletons wearing tattered but familiar clothing. The smaller of the two cradles a stuffed doll that you also recognize.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kai let's out a small sad sigh as they step into the room. "Just as I had thought. Those two children are dead... We should look around the room. Ill check the skeletons. Bukowyr, if you could come assist me?" Kai steps over to the skeletons to see if she can determine their cause of death.

Nothing else in the room or floor (except the stairs that lead up in the secret hallway)
Kayla sniffs and resists the urge to rub her eyes. She couldn't see anything past her nose and would be glad to get out of the dusty room.
"Anyone see anything? This dust is awful."

Bukowyr immediately draws his bow and arrows, instinctively looking for signs of hostility before firing the missile.
"They usually attack right away. What is it waiting for? Step back, slowly, lady Kai."
Benito, will step forward when Kai requests that the more heavily armored move to the front before entering the room.

You don't find any marks in the skeletons, they don't look like victims of an attack
