Assuming that this doesn't provoke an Opportunity Attack, Brask looks to the side and judges that Kurama has the ghoul well in hand, so he charges the Reaver:

Brask charges to meet the Reaver, swinging his maul at the enemy's head. Surprisingly nimble, he slides under the strike as his toothed sword scrapes against the stone. The cultist approaches Brask to attack, but Effort's blast explodes on his chest. He flies backward and tumbles along the floor, finally coming to a stop on the far wall.
Effort, you're still close enough to the door to hear loud, metal clanging from the other side. It happens three times, and then the door swings open forcefully, wood smashing against the stone wall. Standing in the archway is your old pal, Promise.
Pip, with another arrow notched, sees Brask and the Reaver about to engage. He fires at the latter...

The arrow narrowly misses, quickly reaching the opposite end of the room and bouncing off the rocks. The ghoulish Wendel stands back up, this time swinging his war pick at Kurama before slashing and biting at him...

Kurama fights off the strange feeling he gets after being bitten, but then notices a tingling at the site where he was scratched. The tingling spreads over his body, becoming an intense sensation of pins and needles...and before he knows it, he's fallen over, completely paralyzed.
The knight joins the fight between Brask and the reaver, swinging his longsword at the minotaur twice:

A scowling Burik attacks the ghoul standing over Kurama with both of his weapons:

The reaver, finally in range, swings his toothed sword at Brask as he smiles widely with a crazed look in his eyes.
Kurama, as you struggle to move, you not only notice that you cannot, but the tingling sensation is turning into a more painful feeling in your muscles. It feels as though they're being eaten away. You attempt to call out, or scream, but your paralysis won't allow it.

With specks of blood and skull adorning his weapon, Brask continues swinging around into the knight, bringing the maul up and around into his chin. After another sickening snap sound, the man crumples to the ground. The minotaur stands triumphantly between the two bodies.

"Oh, little devil girl, you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into." He has noticeable injuries at this point that are slowing him a bit, but he doesn't look like he's anywhere near giving up.
From the doorway, Promise extends a hand and mumbles something under his breath as he casts Witch Bolt. Another flash of light emerges, but this time it crackles with energy as a lightning bolt shoots toward Wendel.

He winces and groans as the electricity does its work. Pip steps back and fires an arrow at the ghoulish creature...

He turns as the arrow lodges itself into his shoulder. Ignoring the added pain, he turns to the closest enemy that isn't paralyzed. Wendel eyes Burik and swings down with his war pick again, followed by slashing and biting at him.

Only the slashing claw connects with the dwarf, drawing blood...

Kurama, gasping for air at this point and frozen on the ground, feels the energy within him swell momentarily...and it seems to somehow push out whatever was holding him. He can breathe freely again, and sits up in a panic, stretching his arms and legs to be sure they work. They do.
Another direct hit burns away more of Wendel's flesh - if you can call it that - but he continues to laugh and mock you. "Oh, that is no mystery to me," he turns to Effort, ignoring the others as he readies himself to charge her. "But it will be an eternal nightmare for you and your pathetic friends."
Seeing his newfound focus, Promise runs to Effort's side, casting Mage Armor as he reaches out and touches her shoulder. Effort, your AC is 18 for the duration.
Peeking out from behind Brask, Pip fires another arrow.

The arrow sinks into Wendel's back and emerges through his chest. It sits there, lodged in the middle of this evil creature. He spits up a bit of greenish phlegm, but continues moving toward Effort. He swings his war pick, followed by a claw and bite attack.

DC 14 dex save for half of 17 fire damage
(Mage Armor can't apply, Effort wears studded leather. Cadmael will happily take that AC though, ahha)
(Also, he should, because both Hex and MA would have gone down when Effort went unconscious, though she was brought right back by Burik.)
(OH right, she didn't go down, she had temporary HP! ugh, con saves XD)
