The leader is struck again, and is starting to show signs of weakening. The bigger soldier on the eastern side of the bridge shows no signs of slowing, though, as he mercilessly strikes at Kurama with his mace...
Attack: 11 Damage: 7
Attack: 12 Damage: 3
With the one connected blow to his back, Kurama finally succumbs to the onslaught of attacks. His shields dissipate as he falls onto the bridge. "Good! Now kill the rest!" The leader points his sword triumphantly.
On the opposite side of the bridge, the downed soldier gets up remarkably quickly, grabbing at his mace and swinging at Brask as he stands...
Attack: 10 Damage: 7
Attack: 18 Damage: 8
Pip, now back to a hiding place on the northern edge of the bridge entrance, fires an arrow at the soldier attacking Brask.
Attack: 22 Damage: 4
It sticks into his back as he calls out in pain, a scowl coming over his face.
Kurama, make a death saving throw. Then Brask is up.

You'll be doing no killing today, says Brask to the leader after only one of the attacks hits him, and he swings his maul at the prone fool before him:
Attack: 24 Damage: 12
I can re-roll that 1, for a 3, so that gives 13 damage in fact.
Edit: Oh, he's not prone any more. That's a miss then, I think...
Yeah, he had a turn to stand up. You're also not mixed up with the leader, if that that wasn't clear. You're fighting one of the beefy boys on the western side of the bridge. There are also some fleeing guards there, along with Pip. The eastern side of the bridge is where the leader, another beefy guy, and other guards have Kurama surrounded. Effort is firing from further back.
Effort - any idea how far you've actually had the chance to back up?
(Effort can move 30 ft a round. Eldritch blast can reach from 120 feet away. It stands to reason that she'd keep Leader in range. Counting the turns, that could potentially make her 90 ft away from leader. She has to stay within 100 feet to communicate with Cadmael, and Cadmael has been assisting Kurama, so she's probably somewhere between 60-90 ft away from Leader, just close enough to keep Cadmael in touch from where Kurama just fell.)

OK, as I suspected, Brask is closer. Lucky for Effort. :)
"Across the bridge! Go!" The leader points his longsword at Brask as he and the guards all start rushing across the bridge.
The freed guard from earlier is long gone at this point, heading northward up the river bank. The three stuck in the caltrops and burning oil suffer 4 fire damage each. As they see the others coming to their potential aid, they reconsider fleeing (DC15 WIS save): 174
Two of them get loose of the traps, running north up the bank. One, however, seems to regain his confidence, standing firm and circling around Brask as the others show up. The minotaur is now flanked on all sides, with the leader, his two beefy soldiers, and four guards holding out their weapons. "Yield, fool, and I will make your death quick and clean."
With their dash actions, they surround Brask. Effort, you're up! You're 60 feet from Kurama and about 100-110 feet away from the rest of the fight.
Seeing Kurama fall, and Brask get surrounded, Effort growls.
Cadmael, she commands as the owl flies past her. She stretches out her hand, a browncap mushroom in it. Get this in Kurama's mouth, whatever it takes, then get to safety, she commands the owl.
(Kurama can roll for 1 hit die's worth of HP to come back to life, plz XD)
She questions her life and her choices as she runs back towards the thick of the battle, another eldritch blast forming in her palm as she does so.
Attack: 18to hit Damage: 18 ( 14 force, 4 necrotic)

As the energy pulses through the crisp air it leaves a purple haze in its wake. A few of the soldiers notice it approaching out of the corners of their eyes, able to turn just in time to watch it crash into the back of the leader's head. It makes a strangely sickening sound as the necrotic energy violently pulses against him. He violently jerks forward, crashing face-down against the bridge and lying motionless.
"Oh, shit," one of the guards' eyes goes wide.
"Only a few left to kill. Otherwise, we die one way or another." One of the beefy soldiers holds up his mace and continues attacking Brask, followed by the other.
Attack: 24 Damage: 13
Attack: 24 Damage: 11
Attack: 19 Damage: 5
Attack: 17 Damage: 7
Pip pops out of his hiding place again, firing an arrow at the same beefy soldier he had been attacking.
Attack: 15 Damage: 4
The arrow sticks straight into his back. He drops to a knee with a pained look on his face. His mouth opens as he tries to speak, but nothing comes out but a grunt. Looking down at the blood starting to seep through his clothes, he slowly stands back up.
Kurama, you're up! Then Brask. Be sure to keep your HP updated on your sheets, everyone. :)
As the leader falls, a burst of dark energy swirls around Effort, sinking into her skin and strengthening her. Her mouth stretches into a deadly grin as she eyes the remaining soldiers.
As a familiar feeling crept through his body, Kurama was shocked back into wakefulness. Shooting up from where he laid prone, he groaned in serious discomfort as he looked down at the source of his pain to find his shirt poked with holes and soaked through with blood. Disoriented and confused, he looked around at the messy scene in front of him trying to remember what had just occurred. Then seeing Brask surrounded by guards, his memory came back to him and he quickly rose and charged towards the fray despite his wounds.
As he charged towards the enemies, he thought to the power inside of him, I need a little more from you! before rereleasing the energy in a powerful wave as soon as he got into range. Then channeling his former friend Tora's more dominant personality, he yelled out, "Miss me!?!" before lashing out at the closest enemy to him.
Action (assuming I can get within 10ft (which is the melee range of Kurama's Astral Arms)): Attack: 8 Damage: 6
Bonus Action: Activate Astral Arms - Enemies must make a DC14 DEX Save or take 6 force damage
You can add your CON mod. 40 feet will bring you 10 feet away from the main fight - Brask vs. everyone, basically. You can attack either of the beefier soldiers - one looks pretty healthy, the other fairly wounded. Or any of the smaller guards that were on foot originally. LMK which you prefer.
Brask is grimacing from taking some heavy blows, but he's still up and still determined. He takes a moment to get a second wind: 5 but doesn't recover as much as he'd hoped. Still, he grins as Pip's arrow strikes, and swings his maul at the wounded soldier:

The soldier dodges the swinging astral arms as he notices Kurama approaching, but the monk isn't done yet...
DEX save: 7
This time the soldier is knocked back and really feels the effects of the astral arms pummeling him. He wobbles as he tries to remain standing.
Brask, you're up! One severely wounded soldier, one healthy one, and a bunch of puny guards.

Brask swings as hard as he can muster, but his injuries slow him down just enough that the soldier is able to turn to his side and dodge the blow.
The guards face off in pairs against Brask and Kurama, respectively. The first two strike at the minotaur...
Attack: 13 Damage: 5
Attack: 19 Damage: 2
