Waves of Peril

Argus agrees with Maya “we should inspect the entrances for any clues and traps”.  Argus stands at the ready....

"May Procan guide you" she says touching gently the shoulder of the first one who tries to check for traps. 

( Cast "Guidance" ) 

"Last call for our talented light foot to do his stealthy trap checking, or I'll try my attempt at it." The druid would look around for Gridolpho.

"Get yer clammy hands the feck offa me! I tol' ya I don't like that cheatin' shite!"

(Gridolpho) To be clear which path are you inspecting?

The cave.

(Gridolpho) You feel confident that no traps guard the entrance to the cave.

"Yeah. The cave's our best bet. Secrety is key, yeah?"

Maya will nod to Gridolpho, “Shall we then?”

Maya would shrug before she'd shapeshift into a Giant Wolf Spider. The spider would hop excitedly and scurry around the group before skittering off into the cave. She'd favour walking along the walls and ceiling.

You see a large water filled cave about 70' in diameter with the ceiling extending 25' above sea level. Most of the cave appears natural with the exception of a rough ledge that has cut into the rock along its southern edge that connects with an adjacent cave. At the western edge of the ledge, there's an opening permitting passage to a pathway beyond. Near this, a flight of rough stone steps leads down into the water.

The water is clear. Tall seaweed, its fronds swaying lazily, covers the bottom.

Seehte approaches the water and taste it to see if it's salt water.

(Seethe) The water is definitely salty.

Argus will travel over to the stairs and inspect them (looking for traps, etc)...

(Argus) You would have to swim to the stairs if you want to inspect them. (The water is about 15' deep.)

Maya will skitter along the ceiling to help Argus inspect where he may not be able to reach.

(Maya) Perception Check please.

Spidey sense perception: 23

(Maya) You see four reptilian figures hiding among the seaweed. As you observe them one swims off to the Southeast towards another part of the cavern.

Maya would make clicking noises to get her party’s attention. She’d gesture with 3 front legs towards the water and a 4th towards the one that swam off.
