The Phandalin Chronicles

"I suppose if there is an opportunity to make a name for myself, we can stay and help!" Chip would say with a smile before turning and heading in the direction of the jellies. "Well what are we waiting for! Let's go! I wan't to get back to the inn before dark.. I don't wanna disappoint my fans!" He would exclaim with another horn blast. 

(What kind of weapons and armors are those two dwarves using? Are they wearing something worth of note? Perception 12　plus guidance 2　)

Kazri raises an eyebrow. "Jelly thing, you said?" She raises her shield from the ground and readies her Warhammer.

The two dwarfs look pleased that you are willing to help.  Looking them over they are wearing simple clothing.   They appear to be nothing more than common working dwarves.  You see nothing special about them or their tools. 

"The jellies are some sort of yellowish ooze that's hanging off the ceiling.   We don't know much more than that.  They move slowly,  we know that."

"Keep our eyes peeled to the ceilings. You got it. Krom, since you have more expertise in this location, would you mind taking point? I will be right behind you." Kazri goes to the open doorway, looks inside, but wait for the group to be ready to cross it. (Perception: 12)

Chill followed the others into the canyon and the temple ruins.   Used to being outside the enclosed space left him feeling uneasy.

At the mention of stones he perks up.

"Stones, and magic ones at that?  I'm in."

Rekuberk will forgo his greatsword and instead ready both of his hand axes incase there is not enough room for his blade. "Shall we put these oozes out of our misery then?"

The party moves into the next room keeping an eye out for the jellies.  Passing through the foyer they see spikes hammered into the floor hold open two sets of double doors. A once-secret door to the north stands open, with a room beyond it strewn with rubble.

The ceilings throughout are 10 feet high and flat. All of the doors are made of carved stone with stone pins for hinges. The temple is choked with dusty rubble. There are no light sources in the temple so it is now dark, no further light filters in from the canyon. 

You enter a larger room with four pillars, one which is partially collapsed. An alter is at the far end.

You also see 2 of the yellow jellies the dwarfs told you about.

Initiative - Chill 22, Chip 10, Kazri 6, Krom 16, Rekuburk 20, Rhogar 15

Monsters - Jelly 1 12, Jelly 2 13

Jelly 2 (?), Jelly 1 (?), Chill (15/15), Rhogar (15/15), Chip (15/15), Kazri (22/22), Krom (19/19), Rekuburk (27/27)

The 2 jellies start moving towards you.

Jelly 1 gets close to Rekuburk and attacks!

Attack: 15 Damage: 10 bludgeoning damage plus 3 acid damage.

Chill is up!

Chill heads forward with the group. His crossbow is up and he is ever wary of foes in this dark temple.  His superior cat eyes catch the movement of the jellies as the ooze forward.

The first to act he brings his crossbow up and lets a bolt fly at the ooze attacking Rekuburk

Attack: 17 Damage: 9

(Before entering the room Krom will cast Light on his shield)

"My GOODNESS! Are you alright there my green friend? Uh.. Just hold on a moment!" Rhogar takes a deep breathe, and then stepping off to the side of Chill, slaps a golden glowing palm right on the half-orcs back. As the hand withdraws, some lingering trail of light continues to pull free of it as if it had a will of its own, further restoring the injuries. "Curse these small quarters -- Any chances we can keep our distance from these foul things?"

Action: Rhogar Casts (1st level)Vixix' Touch, 11restoring HP(also on Rekuburk).

Bonus Action: Healing Light(1) on Rekuburk, restoring an additional 1 HP.

Chill's bolt buries itself into the jellie as Rhogar heals Rekuburk

Chip is up!

(OOC: Sorry, I didn't realize I was up and am dumb)

Chip would look to the slimes and then to his companions. Seeing Rek get hit he would hold his horn up to his mouth and whisper into the mouth piece before shouting "Shake if off!" The dragonborn would shake his hips towards his wounded companion as he cast healing word 5 before playing a few more notes and granting him bardic inspiration.

Kazri moves around the pillar south of Krom and engages Jelly 1 (from the creature's south). She raises her warhammer and casts Divine Favor and attacks Jelly 1. (Attack: 21 Damage: 14)

Rekuberk so enter a rage as he is attacked, moving to attempt to rip into the jellies with his greatsword as he finds his axes not good enough.6

Greatsword: Attack: 10 Damage: 14

(So it somehow messed me up from a crit to this. I was adding the extra damage from being a half orc and that 6 that was rolled was done beneath the attack roll. Good I hate my shitty internet connection at work...)

Chip also heals Rekuburk.  Kazri moves around and strikes at the Jelly as her warhammer bludgeons the creature.

Krom is up

Krom murmuring a prayer to Moradin ( [spell]searing smite] ) attacks the nearest jelly with his warhammer.

(Since I got a critical hit I will roll here the additional damage for the warhammer 6 )
