Rhogar toothy grin turns into a disbelief look seeing Rekuberk sweep in for the finish. "Hmph! I had that one, you know." He states, but grinned afterwards conveying that there was no hard feelings. Turning back to the cabin(?) nearby next, he began making his way over there with Ghorar hovering some ten feet above him about half-way into the trek.
Action: Cast (Cantrip)Blue Flame Burst - (Two-Handing - Staff)Attack: 22 Damage: 23 of bludgeoning and fire and acid to eastern Ankheg.
Working towards the cabin you come upon the crumbled foundation of a cabin. All that remains of this cabin is a ruined fireplace whose chimney has mostly collapsed, and a stone foundation.
Chip would finish playing a quick victory tune on his pan flute before sliding it into his belt. "Well... are any of you hurt?" He would ask with a look of concern.

"Nothing a.... little rest won't see to." Rhogar stated haltingly, as he surveyed the damage. Even if it was a longshot at this point, he would look to Vixix for guidance, and Ghorar for aid in searching for any clues that might suggest where at least one -- ANYONE might've ran off to during the likely confusion of the fight.

Krom's spectral dwarves move around him in all directions still looking for other monsters to smite while the dwarf joins the others searching for clues (Investigation22).
If the group does not find anything useful Krom will say "We should check that cabin over there", pointing to the wooden structure on the east, "maybe there are survivors that may need our help."
The dwarf, maintaining the concentration on his spell, slowly walks towards the wooden structure trusting his spectral guardians to fend off any hostile creature. He will check around him for further clues. ( Perception8)
(OOC I will keep concentrating on Spirit Guardians for 10 minutes in case we encounter other monsters or hostile creatures.)
Rekuberk only offers a smirk and a shrug it to Rhogar in response as he sheathed his greatsword once more, moving to follow Krom as he heads towards the cabin. "If we run into more of those bugs we should preform a civil service as pest removers."

Rhogar pokes around the remains of the cabin and with his staff he stirs up what's left in the chimney. In the chimney he finds a totem buried in its debris: thirteen tiny, androgynous stick figures dipped in pig’s blood, inscribed with tiny lightning bolt symbols, and tied together in a bundle with hair.
A chill runs down Kazri’s back. She concentrates on keeping her spell up, so she won’t think about what happened at the burnt tree site.

"So... I am confused..." Chip would add seeing the bundle of sticks figures. "So are the bugs to blame for the people disappearing or the thunder orcs?" he would ask with a look of confusion.

"They were marked." Rhogar growls out as he starts to reach for the stick figures, only to stop midway, remembering the last time such things had been touched. "...Cursed, to be more accurate. Either in such a way as to draw those crustaceans here, or something else altogether." He says with a bit of throaty rumble to his voice near the end. Sparks would start to dance across his teeth as the Bronze seemed almost ready to blast the sticks on the spot.
He hesitated however, instead choosing to study the symbols and arrangement more at length for clues onto its purpose. Only afterwards would he then look to the others warn, "Unless ANY have reason to keep this macabre thing, or so means of confirm magic remains bound to these, I will destroy these now."
Rhogar is unable to determine the specific magic or use of the totem but is fairly certain the item is from the anchorites and was left here in purpose.

"I agree, Rhogar, we should burn it." says Krom after listening to the dragonborn's explanation. "I doubt that I can add something more to your findings, but let me check too the totem." (Religion18)
"More of those things may be buried around us, it is better to pay attention to the ground." Krom starts examining the terrain around the burned cabin and then walks towards the other building looking for clues. (Perception4)
Two assenting voices was enough for Rhogar. So, he took a deep, chest expanding breathe, then unleashed a torrent of lightning upon the figures from his maw, leaving them hopefully scorched beyond recognition. The air after would smell of ozone for a time. Something the Bronze softly grinned at, but would not let his thoughts linger on for too long. He then looks to the larger structure over yonder that still appeared at least somewhat put together, and made his way over there next to knock on a door.
