Roscoe drops his torch and charges at the gnolls carrying Taren. You can see the rage in his eyes as he advances. Using both hands, he attempts to cleave through the gnoll that has been hit by the beam of light. "Protect the younglings," he yells as he hopes the others can keep them safe.
Attack: Attack: 11 Damage: 12

Roscoe, reroll you surprise attack, I just realised you missed earlier. But you still have advantage on it. Sorry for the backtrack
After two days of silence and slumber, Grunda the Goliath runs in, and shoves her axe right in between the Gnoll's eyes, effectively splitting him in two.
The Leader and the other Gnoll in the room look a bit scared for a second....they were not expecting a Goliath to come out of nowhere...

"You ARE one of the younglings," Edeleth mutters quietly through his teeth. He looks over to the children, who seem in no danger at the moment--the surviving gnolls have other problems, including Grunda! The goliath charges past him to attack ferociously. Edeleth is relieved: he was half convinced she was lying dead in a snowbank, and was not looking forward to making the decision of whether to leave her behind when they returned to Three Peaks, or organize an exhaustive search for her.
Edeleth moves his Moonbeam to the very center of the double doorway. The opening is too wide to block entirely, but anyone who runs through carelessly will most likely get a bit toasted, and having to slip past the beam may slow down the more careful attackers.
(OOC: Not sure whether the disadvantage to shapechangers will apply to the transforming hyenas.)

Pebbles/Allied NPCs rolled a Nat 20 on their initiative!
The Golden Retriever Knight stays close to Taren, guarding him with his shield while keeping his eyes on the Leader, already affected by the Warlock's Hex.
Taren quickly grabs the key to the restraints from one of the two dead Gnolls, and frees the other 7 Dwarves. He shouts "Oakfields! Defensive formation! Now's our chance! If we want out of here, we're gonna have to take 'em all out!"
The five adults and Pebbles immediately form a circle around the 3 children, loading 2 crossbows and holding 3 iron spears that Taren grabbed from Pebbles's tiny backpack (you wonder how it all fit in there...), and get into defensive position...
On the other side of the room, the Leader, the last of the Prison guard and the 8 Gnoll Cultists in the other room look like they're about to all out attack
Pebbles yells "Let them come to us!", standing directly between the Gnolls and the circle of Dwarves.
Rosri, Edeleth and Grunda, you may take your Round 1 actions
OOC: Mine is just above your post--thought I would post it before going to bed. :D Action is: moving Moonbeam to the middle of the double door.

Seeing that the villagers seem relatively safe Rosri shift his focus to the double doors. That chanting seem a bit ominous. Full of adrenaline from the first attack Rosri no longer feel the usual horror that fills him up. For the first time, he feel free.
Rosri will take aim at one of the chanting cultist and shoot with sneak attack

Rosri was still hidden after the surprise round (cunning action is awesome), so he's the only one in the group who gets to roll with advantage, "sniping" around the corner, still crouching in the tunnel behind everyone...

ROUND 1
The Gnolls got 12 on their Initiative, so Rosri, Edeleth and Grunda get to act before them.
The surprise round is over, so no more advantage on attacks, except for Rosri who is still hidden
