"So I've heard. I took the liberty of reading up on all of you before I came here. I like to know who I'm working with, or at least as much as I possibly can." He looks back over his shoulder to Edelth. "I have been working as a spy, and as such I know how they think. I could help you keep them out." 

“I’m heading to the privy, I’ll be right back” 

He greets Zyman on the way out.

Rosri leave the bath after not saying a word to the newcomer. A little paranoid he has been sent here to spy on them he’ll go through Elixisys belingings before the others are done.  

Roscoe looks to Elixisys and says, "So tell us what yous know about us and we'll ill in the gaps."

Elixisys nods. "Alright. Sounds like a plan." He points to Edelth. "Edelth. Druid, seemingly Circle of the Land if I'm not mistaken. Leader of the group. Well connected within the Royal families of the Westwoods." His finger moves to Zyman. "Ozymandias, or Zyman. Warlock whose patron seems to be quite powerful, and quite dark, though Zyman is known for using that power for good. Saved the party from an exploding volcano by invoking his patron, most impressive." Now the finger is pointed at Roscoe. "Roscoe. Barbarian from the Southern Republic. Known for wielding two weapons and dealing fearsome blows in battle, but being happy and easygoing outside of it. Likes to charge in a bit, as evidenced by his rushing the Jarl in full darkness earlier. Which is in stark contrast to the final member," he points off in the direction of the changing area, "Rosri, a rogue with impressively high perception skills, as evidenced by his spotting of an invisible assassin before. Connected to the Gypsies and the Thieves Guild. Slightly afraid of things but always seems to come through when necessary." He drops the finger and spreads his hands. "Anything I missed?"

Edeleth doesn't know why he feels relieved by  Elixisys's summing up.  It isn't as if he has any dark secrets, and the wizard has said nothing he didn't already know or suspect about his companions. But there is one thing that ought to be made clear.

"We are a team of equals," he objects. "If at times I seem to lead the way, it is usually because I am more accustomed to addressing those in power, or because I am impatient to get matters under way. I hope I help to add a little organizing influence to our little pocket of chaos, but nobody here gives or takes orders. Our decisions are negotiated by consensus."

Elixisys nods. "My mistake, and I hope I did not offend. That seems like a very reasonable way of doing things for a group this size. Especially one that seems to work as well as yours does." 

Does Rosri find anything in Elixisys belongings? 😊

You find a book, some clothes, a pouch of spell components, a crowbar, pen, ink, parchment, a small knife, and a spellbook, all contained in a backpack. A finely crafted shortsword lays in a black leather sheath inscribed with elvish writing. In the pockets of the cloak he was wearing you find 15 gold and what appears to be a small doll that is badly burnt. 

Rosri will roll a Stealth check, opposed by Elixisys's passive perception. If Rosri fails, Elixisys notices the Rogue going through his belongings shamelessly...

Elixisys is a little curious what is taking the other halfling so long in the privy but decides it's probably best he doesn't know. 

Roscoe seems pleased with the group's summary provided by Elixisys. He was definitely a smart one but Roscoe really wanted to see how he'd handle a mind flayer. It was easy sounding smart when you weren't in danger. 

He thinks for a moment as Edeleth responds. "We's don't know Con Sensus but we's always manage to survive when there's danger. If yous get scared, just try to not get in the way. We's aren't the most careful when the axes swing and we's don't want to lose a friend cause they stood in the wrong spot. We's like you though. We's know it doesn't eat... but can we's feed your hawk?"

Elixisys nods with a serious look on his face. "I don't believe I will cause you any trouble in a fight but I will make sure that I stay out of your way. I've found that most times friendly fire isn't all that friendly." He gives a quick smile to the last question. "You know, I've never tried to feed him, but you're welcome to if you like."

Roscoe grins with excitement. He'll make sure to remember to try next time they have a bit of extra food available. 

Edeleth ponders Elixisys's offer. A trained spy might be useful, to help ensure that the embassy could not be eavesdropped on....and possibly, that its guests could be.

"That sounds useful," he admits. "I suppose we will need to find something on the high peak, if possible, and will need to hire some servants and functionaries. Something with facilities for entertaining local nobility, a large dining hall for conferences, and some guest rooms, as well as quarters for all of us. I wonder what the real estate market in the Three Peaks is like.."

He looks at the letter again and frowns.  "I can't help feeling my Grandmother has somehow arranged this to make me useful to the family."  But it was signed by the High Druid, and he felt fairly certain that even his grandmother would not dare to forge Master Talos's signature.

He tosses the letter aside and goes back to relaxing.

"So... What is next for us? With the army being successful, I assume our mission was a success... Which means we're back to being unemployed. Elixisys, does your service have an office here in Three Peaks?"

"Let's wait until tomorrow, once we discover if the dwarf army has been recalled to the city.  Gaston might still be out there, waiting for our return. We also left an explosives cache behind which, if the army has not taken charge of it, ought to be destroyed.  After that business is wrapped up, I suppose I must start house-hunting, and am hoping for your assistance." Since Zyman came in late, he repeats the news from the Westwoods.

"And we must find out exactly when this Winter Celebration banquet is that the Jarl has invited us to," Edeleth adds. "It would be awkward if we miss it."

(OOC: Rosri, is Buttercup out there with the mules and gear?  I know you didn't ride because you were hung over, but did you bring her along?  Just wondering.)

Elixisys looks over to Zyman with a raised eyebrow. "The service doesn't really have 'offices.' Once we've found Edeleth's house I can send a message to ask if there's anything that needs to be taken care of." 

Ooc: yeah, Grunda helped Rosri with Butterscotch. 

Rosri gets back to the bath just as the group is talking about housing. “Sorry I took so long.” He gets red in the face, they must think he went number 2. 

Not having found anything suspicious in Elixisys belongings, Rosri is s little more relaxed toward him.
“Are we buying a house? Can we afford that?” He then turn to Elixisys, “Mr.Berevan, can I be so bold to ask, what exactly does an Alliance Secret Service spy do?” I wonder because I’m looking to work as a spymaster one day.”
