With a sound of thunder it begins to pour rain. A few drops were already falling from the sky at the start of the battle but now the rain has turned heavy. The pools of mud that were left over from the previous rain starts to expanding having gained more water. New pools of mud are created as a healthy amount of water fall from the sky.
Tomoe twists the Dual Bolter around to fire at the dragon. The first bolt manages to land in the dragon's chest. The second bolt however, stalls and jams the ammo chamber. Tomoe quickly draws her own crossbow and fires the second bolt. However, a ringing in her head keeps her from landing her mark. She shakes the feeling away. Kate's ears still ring though as she swings her massive sword down on Gnoll2. Throwing caution to the wind, she lands a single blow on the Gnoll's armor, denting it in the process. As blood drips from the wound and soaks the soil, The Gnoll2 releases a warcry and goes into a Blood Rage. He jams his lance into Kate's chest. Blood splashes on to his face and he licks it off.
The Gnoll1 continues to assault Tomoe, landing a hit on the samurai's chest as she goes to pull out her crossbow. Lucia quickly tries to retaliate but her punches just bounce off the creature's armor.
Ingrid charges the dragon but it takes flight once again and avoids the paladin's sword. Mystery continues to degrade the dragon's life force as it flies through the air. She ducks behind her tree to avoid its sight. The dragon lands behind Tomoe and releases a burst of fire. Tomoe and Kate are both able to avoid the direct blow. The quickly put out the remaining bits of fire on their clothes. The cart ignites and starts burning, the flames lick Tomoe further. The rain continues to pour. Working both in the girl's favor as it starts to put out the fire and against the girls as the mud pools expand and water begins to pool into the large lowland.
Tomoe puts two gaping holes into the Gnoll2, killing the blood crazed warrior. Kate burns the other spear wielder and slashing into him with her sword after she moves forward. Lucia sees that Tomoe isn't doing very well so she gives her a potion. The she takes a defensive stance to ward off incoming attacks. Moves up to the Gnoll1 and harries it further. The gnoll then goes into a blood rage and delivers a brutal stab into Tomoe's chest. Blood sprays forth and paints the gnoll's face. This seems to bolster the heretic's resolve to fight longer. The dragon tries to Take off and Mystery tries to quickly put it down with her spell but she fumbles and the spell does not work. Tomoe however, strikes the dragon and prevents it's escape. The dragon growls and bites Tomoe, almost ripping her in half. Tomoe may still be in one piece but she drops to the floor, dying.
Mystery, seeing her master go down tries to remember orders but she forgets what to do and ends up just hiding behind the tree (Technically she did cast but the Gnoll made the save and I have to come up with a description for the spell not working). Kate however, finishes the job by beheading the Gnoll. She then sets her sights on the dragon and lays into it. Lucia finally sees an opening made in the Dragon's hide and quickly delivers a brutal jab in the wound, causing serious pain. Ingrid marches up to Tomoe and channels life energy into her, successfully resuscitating the samurai. Tomoe gets up just in time to see the dragon breath a cone of fire into Kate's face. The mercenary tanks the hit and in spite of it being a direct hit, she seems fine, if not a bit worse for ware. The rain continues to pour and mud and water continue to cover the ground.
Tomoe and Mystery's turn. Take the kill and get the XP and Gold.

Kate sheathes her weapon and looks at the cart. She says, "This is definitely stolen. If we return it to the guard, they're sure to pay up good money."

The dragon was worth 1200 GP, The hobgoblin was worth 110 GP. The Lizardfolk was worth 150GP and the two gnolls were worth 200 GP
The Gnolls were wearing Half Plate while the Hobgoblin and the Lizardfolk were wearing Full Plate. The hobgoblin had a Longsword+1 and the Gnolls each had a Lance+1
The lance would be good for Ingrid as well as the full plate I believe. Kate can have the longsword of she wants. The rest will be sold when we are able. That was a good fight. And Mystery gained a level.
I hope they are not too mad that I jammed it up trying to use it. Is everyone Ok?
Kate doesn't want the Long sword. She's more the great sword type of girl. Ingrid would have taken the lance whether you wanted her to or not. For equipment to sell, Kate sees that Tomoe is having a hard time carrying everything so she decides to do the carrying of excess equipment like the swords and the armors.
Kate, who is absolutely drenched to the point her tank top has started sticking to her skin says, "I am cold and soaking wet but otherwise, I'm fine." Lucia giggles a bit at Tomoe's comment and says, "Don't worry Chief. These things get jammed all the time. " Kate looks over at the carriage and says, "I... don't think we would be able to pull it through the mud. We'll have to wait for the rain to stop and the ground to dry. We'll have to camp here for a day for that. I doubt we'll be able to find this thing again if we leave it here." She looks to Lucia and says, "You're a guard. How much do you think we'll get for this?" Lucia says, "Well given the vandalized and damaged condition, I'd say we'd be looking at 3000 GP each." Kate's eyes light up at the mention of 3000 GP each. Still the professional, she clears her throat and asks Tomoe, "What do you think? Is it worth camping here for a day?"
I think so, as long as we can dry off a bit ourselves....where did Mystery go?
Mystery peeks out from the trees and shouts Can I stop hiding now Mistress?!
Tomoe waves her servant over to the group. So, let's make camp up there so we dont get drowned in the bowl shall we? Tomoe points to a ridge over looking the area that hopefully has plenty of trees and sees into the valley area so they dont loose sight of their prize.
