I have kept my story straight. I have told you I am an adventurer, that's how I make a living.  Perhaps you have had a spy amongst you long before I showed up. I believed in your cause, but if this is how you treat people, then perhaps you are wrong. You will not see me here, and I will tell my fellow acolytes to stay away from your den of deceit. Sarah will try to leave having worded her response to technecly be true as clearly he is crazy and paranoid.

Zhao makes a motion and the two Dragon born Paladin move to block her path. Zhao says, "Trying to escape are we? You say that one of my children are spies and now you try to leave after calling our group deceitful. You disappear last night, come here and say that there are guards heading this way. You say you were looking for jobs as an adventurer yet I can see the lie in your eyes and in your face. What are you hiding?" Then he orders the Paladins to capture Ingrid and then he says to her, "Let me tell you something that you aren't aware of. I had suspected treachery since you can never be too careful. I changed the targets of our bombing this dawn. Just to confirm my suspicion, I had sent a scout to the locations, both the old and the new, to check. The Guard has stationed more people on those places. Why would they guard uninteresting buildings if they didn't know we were going to attack and how would they know of our plan? You were the only one who was missing for the night and you knew of our old plan. You were the only one absent during today's dawn meeting and did not know about the change. The new targets are unguarded. Any explanation you have for that?"

I've missed many of your meetings because I have a life and have yet to dedicate myself to your group. I said only that there could he someone, not guards, but adventures. Your sermons nearly had me convinced of the righteousness of your goals. But your just a madman arnt you?

How can you rave like this and think people will follow you? Are you using magic to control their minds? Or many you drugged the food? Either way I want nothing to do with you and wanted Simon to be safe. He is a better man than you.

DM: Aaaaand... That's initiative.

Zhao says, "And now you accuse me of the heinous act of mind control. Brothers! Capture the treacherous blasphemer!"

DM: Instead of rolling initiative and beginning combat right now, I will instead pause this scene and cut back to Tomoe and Gang.

Meanwhile Tomoe's party is hiding under three tables near the kitchen door. You've seen that there is a single Tiefling Paladin guarding the door that leads to Zhao's room. There was no way to sneak past him without distraction. The time of this is about 1-2 turns before battle started in Zhao's room. What are you going to do about this? You have 2 turns worth of actions/bonus actions to do whatever you wish to do to get past the Tiefling Paladin. You can discuss what to do among yourselves without worrying about action economy. So what are you going to do?

Anyone else in the room that would join in a fight if we just tried to take out the guard?

There are a bunch of guys in the room you are hiding but none in the kitchen. More specifically, there are 7 guys but none of them are Paladins or Clerics. They are holy warriors and so you might be able to take them since each one of you are way more powerful than these guys. Plus if you try to barricade the door to the kitchen, it might slow them down and prevent them from joining the fight for a hot minute or two.

So, the kitchen leads to where Ingrid is being assaulted yes? So perhaps we can make a mad dash, take the guard out super fast, quick block the door and join Ingrid?

Yes. Designate one person take the guardd down and roll attack(s) for that person. The others make an Athletics (WIS) save to quickly block the door. The first attack roll will be made with advantage because of coming out of hiding.

Athletic (Wis)? Isnt athletics a str skill?

Yes but roll with WIS.

Lucia will do the wisdom athletic roll and Tomoe will attack. Can Kate help with either? 

Actually only one of the 3 can attack. The other 2 has to make the Athletics(WIS) check. Also I should explain why WIS instead of STR. Well, the kitchen has a bunch of stuff that you can use to barricade the place, since the whole thing is such a swift motion, I thought using WIS would be more appropriate. Athletics because you're moving stuff around and WIS because you've got to think fast and act just as fast.

Ok. Tomoe and Lucia will build the barricade and Kate will attack.(I recklessness with Kate, so if she was unable to do that feel free to adjust)

Boss Music Time:

Kate charges in like a bull and instantly smashes the Paladin's head in. Tomoe fumbles with the stuff in the kitchen as she tries to barricade the door. Lucia however, has done this sort of things many times before and covers for Tomoe's fumble. With the door barricaded and the Paladin dead. Kate says, "Come on! We gotta go help Ingrid."

Meanwhile Ingrid was just about to be attacked by the large group of hostiles in Zhao's room. That's when Tomoe and her team bust through the door and surprises those that weren't as experienced as the others. Zhao was expecting this however and quickly brings everyone to their senses. He says, "Brothers look! These three are the women who have caused our allies so much pain and harm. This is our chance to score a major victory in our cause and greatly facilitate all plans in the near future. Attack!" He stands up from his chair and draws his sword. It now that it becomes clear that Zhao Wang is 6 ft 3 inches tall and also has the muscles to match his frame.

The battle field has an elevated chair in the middle of the room where Zhao is. At the back of the room (1 dash away) are the Cleric and the crossbow soldiers. In front of Zhao are the paladins and beside the paladins are the holy soldiers. Simon is standing beside Zhao. The holy soldiers and Simon are all wearing Chain Mail and holding shields. The Holy soldiers with crossbows don't have shields. The Cleric also has a crossbow and has Half Plate. No shields.

Enemy HP:

 Lucia quickly attacks Gold Paladin: 18 Dmg: 6
 Lucia Vs Gold Paladin: 22 Dmg: 9

Lucia moves forward to attack the paladin but her attacks are blocked by the shield she swiftly steps back (5ft moving back) while rubbing her palms. This is going to be a long and hard fight.

Tomoe and Ingrid's turn.

Ingrid tries to plead with Simon. Simon, look at the madness in Zhao's eyes. This man want to murder his was to justice. Is that really the way of your diety? Is sending the masses into a drug addled stupor simply to gain control of them really justice?

Tomoe goes in with her sword and shield at the same target Lucia attacked.

Is Ingrid being held by the guards? Is she being grappled or restrained? 

No Ingrid is not being grappled or restrained. She is just within melee range of guards. Also to try and convince Simon roll Persuasion using an action. On 2nd success Simon would switch sides.
