She couldn't give chase then. It is now Tomoe's & Mystery's turn.

Druid Concentrate on Healing Spirit (4/4)

Holding her glowing sword Tomoe puts two more deep cuts on Red's chest, cutting through her magical Leather. Lucia and Kate move in to attack but Red makes a motion with her hand and puts a wall of magic between her and their attacks. Ingrid with her lance nearly puts a dent in this transparent wall but doesn't break through. Red heaves from the cuts and wobbles as copious amounts of blood pour out of her body. Two Javelins are thrown from the bridge on top, one of them striking Tomoe in the chest while the other hitting the ground. The fighter, rallies Red to action, "Alice! You can't fall now! We need you to get us through this!" The red haired woman, Alice, looks around the room surveying the battlefield and looking at the stage curtains. Her eyes then fall on Tomoe's and she glares daggers at her. She growls, "Couldn't just leave well enough alone, could you? Fine! If that's how you want to play, I'll play." She  raises her hand and holds her palm right in Tomoe's face. A burst of bright, intense, color shifting light sprays forth from the hand and burns Tomoe's eyes, blinding her temporarily. Using this chance Red falls back and stands next to the druid. She shouts orders, "Shit's gone sideways! Abort! Pull out!" The cloaked warrior begins running back while using a sending stone, "Mission Sideways. Abort! Abort! Abort!" The bodyguards continue to shoot at her but the figure ducks and avoids the bolts. Alice grimaces at the blinded samurai and out of spite, raises her Marksman's Blaster and puts a bullet through Tomoe's chest. The druid summons a healing spirit that hovers around Alice. Then she splashes the red haired spell-blade with a Greater Healing Potion, healing a chunk of her wounds.

Tomoe and Mystery's turn.

Tomoe rubs at her eyes to no avail. I do not know what your intentions are here, but you have attack someone in an open crowd and killed two. Why should I not take you apart here and now?

A currently Blind Tomoe takes a defensive stance and tries to convey to her friends to be careful and not recklessly purse unless further provoked.

The body guards begin to flee backstage to follow after Mercy while laying down covering fire. Alice heals using the healing spirit and grimaces at the failure of the mission. She turns to Tomoe and says, "Because if you strike me down here and now, you would be risking your own life and the life of those around you to plunge the world into tyranny. Kill me and you will be helping those who want to enslave not just everyone in Chronero but everyone in the entire world. Of course you do not understand what you are messing." She glances at Lucia and adds, "Or perhaps you do understand and are working for them. Your blue clad friend is a cop after all. I will leave you with a waning: Do not become our enemy." She and her troops start retreating.

Tomoe looks confused and doesnt give chaise. She looks to Lucia questioningly and goes to check on Mercy and her guards.

Mercy and her guards are long gone by now. The bar is mostly empty save for the bartender who retreated into the kitchen. Everyone else fled in terror. The Guard are probably going to show up any second to see what happened here.

Tomoe is still confused. It seems she has witnessed some kind of political intrigue.  But why try to assassinate a songstress. 

I do not know what is going on, but she seemed to know something about Lucia. Could it be tied to your amnesia?  Or is there something deeper. Tomoe sigh, I just wanted a day off before we start a new conquest. Is everyone alright?

Kate says, "Yeah I'm fine. I'm not hurt." Lucia says, "Doing fine Chief."

She seemed to not like your profession Lucia, but why would she try to kill a songstress? Perhaps we should not get involved until after we remove this curse. Then again, we could have been given a lead on your memory. 

Lucia said, "Maybe that is possible but the curse comes first. If we leave it for too long, it'll get really bad."

Agreed. And I fear our raid sapped our funds a little to deep. We do not have much time to prepare for our next outing. Tomoe disengages her sword and will start to lead the party out of the area. Perhaps to a new bar to finish the night on a high note?

Kate suggest, "Come on. Let's go to the Dancing Weaver. I haven't been back there in a long time."

Heading to the bar Kate meets her old friend, "Hey Aki. How're things going." To which the red-headed bartender responds, "Not good I'm afraid. Boyfriend dumped me because he suddenly became religious. Won't tell me what god he worships. Pretty sure it might be heretical."

Tomoe groans at the mention of heretical gods. I am tires of the gods, do you serve anything in that could make me forget them all for a night?

Kate tells the bartender, "Tonight it's on me." She slides Tomoe a glass of whiskey. Another glass was given to Kate. Lucia took one too. She held Tomoe's hand before she drank hers and said, "Don't get too drunk now okay, Chief?"

Tomoe smiles at Lucia and downs her shot of whiskey. 

She almost gags as the alchohol runs down her throat.

Ugh, is it supposed to taste like that?

Lucia smells her shot and then downs it. She pants as the burning liquid goes down. She says, "Yep, that's supposed to taste like that. It's strong stuff"

Then I shall have another.
