Lucia steps up to try and says, "I can give picking the locks a try. Even though the doors open buy button, the panels have regular shaped keyholes so I might be able to pick it."
Lucia first goes over to the right door but fiddles with the lock. However after tying for a bit, she lets out a sigh and gives up. Though she knows the locks can be picked, it's still magical in nature and much harder to pick than normal locks. As with many locks in the land, both new and old, Lucia triggers a "seizing" mechanism which prevents the lock from being tampered further until someone uses a key on it. Lucia then tries the north door. After fiddling around a bit... "Bingo!" The door opens to reveal a set of stairs going down.
((It's lit. Mechanically Brightly lit though its more like a hospital at 3 AM so bright enough to see everything clearly but not much darker and moody than say daylight))
Going down the stairs, the party finds themselves in a wide corridor leading to a 4-way intersection with 3 other corridors. Mystic lights in the ceiling glow and illuminate the cold metal halls of the ruins. After moving a little bit, they spot a creature in what can only be described as a 2nd Star Guard Box. The creature is bipedal and vaguely humanoid though it is covered in grey leathery skin, has two pure black eyes and two horns on its head. It has legs with joints on backwards not unlike the legs of a Satyr but instead of ending in hooves, it ends in three long clawed feet like that of some reptile or bird. Lucia warns, "That is a Lesser Daemon! Be careful! That's what happens when a Fiend-Barer is created using the soul of a weak Deep Demon." It screams in Abyssal "Intruders! Get into formation and defend the hatchlings!" The party hears hissing and slithering coming from the left and right corridors. More enemies abound. The Daemon then jumps though the window of the guard box and heads down the north passage to gain distance between itself. Seeing Kate being at the back of the party and being unarmored, it wrongly assumes that Kate is some kind of War-mage or Blade Singer. It hurls two beams of concentrated Dark Energy at Kate but it hits the walls and dissipates instead. Ingrid moves up, holding her shield in defensive position and ready to defend against coming enemies.
(So I know you said some races arnt inherently evil as is normally traditional for thise races. Is that true for the snake people too? Also, Daemons?! Uh oh!)

((Some races aren't inherently evil yes. However I don't know if I said that was the case in Chronero. I know that was the case for the Guild. To answer the question: At one point in history, snake-people weren't inherently evil but now, due to repeated worship of the evil gods, they are evil. Of course you can always find that one off guy that isn't evil in the group but whenever there is a large group of them... yeah safe to assume they're all evil.
For the Chronero Setting, if it isn't playable or if it is monsterous like Goblins, Lizard folk, etc. They are generally evil. Aaracokra is okay though as well as small Lizard Villages.))
Tomoe runs up and fires her gun but the Daemon dodges both shots with ease; it's swift movement creating somewhat of an afterimage as it moves (Imagine Neo dodging bullets in Matrix).
Also as Tomoe runs up to the intersection, she notices a Malison and a Pureblood on both her left and her right. The Pureblood looks vaguely human but has snake-like eyes and a thin layer of scales. The Malison has the lower body of a big snake and the head of a snake on the torso and arms of a human. It is covered in thick green scales. The Malisons are equipped with Short Swords and Chain Shirts. The Purebloods are wearing Ring Mail and wielding Pikes.
Mystery will cast bless on the whole party as Tomoe began her advance.she then looks for something to hide behind as the daemon is rather intimidating and she has little experience with such things.
(Bless probobly wouldn't cause tomoe to hit even at a max roll so I'm not worried about that. I just want to make sure all 5 have bless so i think i have to cast at lvl 2 for that.)
