 Priya says, "We need to be through. We still haven't checked that area in the north. Don't worry, this Golem Gear lets me see up to 120 ft in darkness as well as allowing me to see 15ft in magical darkness. If something approaches us, I'll be the first to see, you can count on that.

It is never easy is it? Fine, let us go to the next spawn vats.

As you step out of the spawning vats and back to the place where the path splits off, going north at the second split instead of west, you notice something at the edge of the dim light cast by the torch. It looks like a humanoid figure standing right at the edge of the dim light, 40ft away from the light source. It seems to just be standing there. No sound. No movement.

Can anyone else see that? 

Lucia says, "Uh... Yeah. What's a person doing down here?" Kate calls out to the figure, "Eh! What are you doing down here in a ooze nest?" It doesn't respond. Then Priya says, "What are you guys talking about? There's nothing there. Are you feeling alright?"

I do not like this. You cannot see that peron right there? Tomoe points at the figure for Priya.

Priya looks towards where Tomoe is pointing. She says cheerily, "Stop kidding around. There's clearly nobody there." Kate and Lucia give each other weird looks.

Then by all means, after you Priya. Tomoe is unsure of what to do, clearly the three if them can see it. Maybe Priyas goggles are doing something normal eyes cannot. Let us be ready for a fight just in case.

Priya says whatever. As she steps forward, the thing disappears as if it was never there to begin with. Priya turns back to you and says, "Well? Aren't you coming?"

Tomoe follows, very paranoid.

The party follows along and enters the room that was previously left unexplored. There they find the remains of an adventurer.

The adventurer's items have decayed but Tomoe finds that the person's Rapier is still intact somehow. There is not even any rust on it. The person was also wearing leather armor. The armor is slimy but untouched. Finally there is a set of panpipes.

Tomoe will take the armor and sword. What a beautiful sword. How has it not dissolved on this mess?

Priya takes the pan pipes and gives it a look. "This is going to need some cleaning but I believe I can use this."

Lucia looks at the sword and the armor. It looks magical I think that might be why it hasn't dissolved yet.

You got: The Rapier+1 and the Leather Armor+1 ... So AC is the same as studded leather I guess. Huh. Did not think the magic item balancing through.

Magic armor is harder to dissolve in this darn slime. I'm ok with it.

Tomoe draws the rapier and gives it a few practiced thrusts. 

It is lighter than a normal rapier. I have not used one in a while, but my muscle memory seems strong enough. Now I just need a shield to match.

If we feel we have time Tomoe will don the leather armor. And strap the rapier to her sword belt.

You have time but while you don the leather armor, Lucia offers to hold the Torch. While you give the torch to Lucia, you see the figure standing at the end of the cavern again. It seems to appear and disappear with the flickering of the light.

There it is again. What is it we are seeing ?

Lucia says "Let me get a closer look." She steps forward and it disappears again. "Wait..." Lucia furrows her brow with a look of concern. She waves the torch around, causing the light to flicker. Every time there is darkness, it reappears and then disappears when Lucia holds the torch straight. Priya says, "What's gotten into you three? Why are you standing around and waving the torch at nothing?"

We are seeing something you are not and trying to find out why.

While Lucia moves around and the thing continues to appear and disappear, on the 5th time It appears 5ft away from Lucia and she gets startled but it disappears again. The thing's features where still obscured though it looked fleshy, whatever it was.
