Tomoe starts using more Edo words and acting like she isnt as fluent as she is when dealing with the merchants. She is pretty sure if she noticed him, Lucia did aswell, so she doesnt say anything to her about him.

Would i be able to get advantage due to the rest of Lucia's and my set up and the Edo dialect being my native dialect?

The man leaves without saying a word further. You're not sure whether he bought it or not.

Tomoe complete's her shopping, having picked out a perfume that Lucia would like her to wear, and likewise she picked out one for Lucia. They return to their room at the fancy Inn and await the arrival of Kate, who has hopefully obtained a bit of a costume of her own, and Priya whom Tomoe has no doubt that she is able to play her part.

Lucia had paid for the perfume and you return to the Hotel. It seems Kate and Priya aren't here yet but they should be back soon.

Tomoe is beaming with happiness. She had an afternoon of perfume shopping with her girlfriend.  Tomoe spreads out on the bed. Ahh, reminds me of home. Come here and lay down. plenty of room for two here unlike the hideout. And its so soft, i could fall asleep right now as if on a cloud.

Lucia plops down on the bed and brings her head near Tomoe. She kisses her on the lips and rolls over. She says, "By the way, I don't think you've told me why exactly you're here. Like you're a knight of Edo. Shouldn't be doing whatever it is you do over there instead of busting gangs in here?" She giggles and says, "Though seducing young attractive women is a very knightly thing eh?"

Tomoe chuckles A very knightly thing indeed. She pauses and sighs slightly And that is, in part, why i am here. It is complicated. But i suppose you should know. You see, female knights are very rare in Edo. It is up to the first male heir to join the local academy and graduate as an officer. They are expected to perform a specific amount of military service. Well, as i said during our last raid, i was the first born and my mother lost the ability to bear more children. So, to maintain some respect and honor the laws and traditions, i was sent to the Academy. It is the major influence in my life growing up. Spending time around all those guys in my training squad, i grew to prefer girls sexually over men. I also excelled at all fields of study. Only hampered by my lack of physical strength. I had to compensate for that and i did. But it is also law that the national army does not allow woman. 

This is where me being here comes in. I made a pretty big deal out of this. Why should i go through all the training of men, perform on the same levels, but not be allowed a position among them in the army. I ended up causing a lot of trouble for my family, and though they protested heavily, i decided to leave Edo, to bring them honor another way that the law would encourage. Working to undo the evils in foreign "less refined" lands.

So here i am, in self imposed exile to bring back the honor i lost for my family. It also did not help that i was a major flirt too. Though to be honest, you are my first success. I am an odd one in all regards in my homeland. But i seem to fit in well here, in this "less refined" country. 

Lucia listens attentively throughout the conversation. She leans in for another kiss and says, "Well, you definitely are doing better here it would seem. The army doesn't know what they've passed up on." She motions to her very feminine body and says, "As you can tell by looking at me, Ultemor doesn't care about what's between your legs as long as you can get the job done. Commander Lucy Anne Redscale is one of the most respected and well-loved commanders in the army. I'm sure you'll be better than even her someday. Though one thing, I don't understand." She sits up straight, "How is purging the crime of a foreign nation bring honor back to your family?"

It does not really. It is just a fancy reason for self exile of forced exile. By choosing this path it has "redeemed my dishonorable actions" of going to extreme lengths to be taken seriously by the those in charge. And i like it better here. It is no less "refined" here than in Edo. The self righteous idiots in charge are the same.  Tomoe then, almost hungrily, looks Lucia up and down. And the woman here are much more to my liking In particular, there is this very attractive blonde girl, who seems about my age, that i have my eye on. I might one day get the courage to tell her how i feel. I hope she likes me back. Tomoe smiles sweetly at Lucia. 

Your romantic moment is interrupted by Kate bursting on to the scene. Kate bought blue uniform to match the color of Tomoe's house. "I got the stuff" she declares.

Kate's sudden but inevitable entrance causes to take a pause to look at her, then burst out laughing. after a moment of mirth, Tomoe sits up and addresses Kate . Sorry for laughing. It was not at you. *ahem* Please, show me what you procured. Also, come take a moment to lay on this bed, It is so very soft. 

Kate lays down and says, "Alright! Now this is a bed! I need to save up so I can buy something like this." She sits up and shows her what she's got. It seems to be a sircoat, much like the one Tomoe has and its color scheme is the same as the colors Tomoe wears. Meanwhile Kate practically sinks into the comfy bed.

Tomoe inspects the coat. Yes, this will do nicely. It does not have my family crest obviously, but that is easy enough to explain. Not all personal guard are directly tied to the family. They would not have the crest. Combine this with the mast to hide your face and no one will know. Now, we must all maintain the highest level of cleanliness. It would not due for a noble lady or her personal guard to be in any fashion un-groomed. 

As you talk about Grooming, Priya shows up. "Well, the rumor is spreading like wild fire."

Lucia smiles as the plan is coming along well, "Looks like we can expect our honored guest some time tomorrow."

Excellent. And until he shows himself. I suggest we play the part and enjoy ourselves here. Tonight we dine here and mingle with the other well to do people staying here. Tomoe will coach the others on the most important things to remember and do as her personal guard. Once she is sure they know what they need to do, she coaches on Edo style etiquette and grooming habits of the nobles and their retinue. She feeds new instructions to her retainers to assist her "personal guard" as mush as needed before their evening appearance at the upscale restaurant in the Inn. 

The next day, Tomoe takes the part of the noble while Priya, Kate and Lucia stick around as her retinue. Then she gets the notification from the staff, "There is a  guest here for Miss. Tomoe Gozen.."
