Looking up at Toby with a scowl he answered “eh, who are you calling ‘soft’ twig?” He takes a few slurps directly from the bowl. Now that the immediate threat was over and the panic form seeing his friend getting slaughtered had subsided a bit he seemed a lot more composed. “But if you must know, we were kicked out of our ‘marry band’ in this town called Phlandin.. Phalanda.. **** I alway say it wrong. Anyway, we were going to Neverwinter when we found you..Greg was the leader of that group, but then this hot shot showed up out of nowhere and kicked him out. This hot shot had some kind of magic and I ain’t trust in no magic so I left aswell.”
Giving of a shrug Toby answers "I'm not trying to insult you, merely commenting in your hesitation when it came to taking a life"
"Which I think is a good sign" He adds quickly. "I haven't taken a life before, and I don't intend to unless there is no other way out" Toby looks into the fire for a moment, and takes a deep breath before continuing
"I assumed you weren't alone, since is red less a color to sneak around in as it is to stand out, which one usually does in a gang to let others know you're comming, to scare people." towards the end of his statement, Toby's voice almost gets an accusational tone. But it quickly goes away as he leans back and continues
"So it's just the two of you who left? I bet it feels horrible, having your friend suddenly turn their backs on you, how are you holding up?"
Jeff flinches as Ragn'nar adresses him in his gruff manner. "Yeah? Well.. uhm.. shut up!" He puts the bowl on the ground and slide down against the tree trunk and pull his hood over his face. "By the way, are you gonna let me go? or take me with you to where ever you are goin? Unless you are going to kill me, you have to do one or the other.." he mutters.
Mograine, who have been listening to the conversation, adds: "A thug you are indeed, no matter what you say" glancing at Jeff. "What we are going to do with you I do not know. I dont trust you but I get the feeling that where your journey ends is not my hands to decide" Mograine turns to look at Toby and Ragn'nar: "What are your suggestions on the matter?"
"Ragn'nar don't think it's a good idea to bring him with'. But question him a bit and let him go tomorrow and let his own destiny deside." Ragn'nar adds after a moment of silent.
"Ragn'nar takes nap now. Wake him when his turn to watch" Ragn'nar says as he lean forward with his head and fell asleep.
And Mograine puts more wood into the fire and thinks for himself: "..and now my watch begins" Mograine, now and then, scans the surroundings and listens to the silence the night brings.
The night begins, Ragn’ar snore like a hores, turning and tossing in his sleep. Probably having a dream about past events and Toby sleep silently in his tent in a tent. Jeff lay with his hood covering his face against the treetrunk and Morgaine start his watch.
Morgaine, will you please make me a perception check for your watch?
As you walk around the tree keeping a lookout for potential enemies in the dark, you can hear the sound of the forest. The leaves on the trees rustle in the whining wind and in the distance a wolf howl at the moon. Close by you hear a rustle and about 25 feet of you a doe walks out from among the trees. It has a brown pelt with white dots on her back, her head is covered by a crown of antlers. It stare at you for a moment before she jumps away into the forest and disappear.
As your watch is drawing to a close, you walk back into the tree pleased that nothing dangerous has occured during your watch. But as you come inside you realize that no one has been keeping an eye on Jeff. He is gone.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mograine, furious of the fact that Jeff had probably taken off, takes look around in hope of catching anything by sight of Jeff while thinking: "Damn thug! I knew I should have strapped him.. This wasn't an act from th.. no.. It cant be, Toby cant have something to do with this can he?. No, that doesnt seem right, even though he seems odd, he wouldnt have teamed up with these thugs. No.. " Mograine draws his handaxe just in case Jeff would still be around. He doesnt want to alert anyone just yet. He goes to the lodge where Jeff had been "sleeping" to search for anything that could lead him to what direction Jeff had gone.
OOC: If possible, I want to do a investigation (if that is the correct one?) check (with disadvantage since its night time?) due to my last sentance above. And a bit unsure if I should type this in OOC or not. Sorry if its wrong. If Im not allowed to do a dice roll, Id like to continue my text in another way:
Ooc: jodo det är korrekt gjort :) och investigation med dis är också rätt.
Unfprtunatly the ground in here is so hard, Jeff hadn’t left any tracks behind. You can surmise that he left through the hole in the wall since you didn’t cover it up.
Mograine doesnt find any trace of Jeff and since he didnt believe in him in the first place, he surely didnt believe in him now. Mograine didnt want to provide the possibility for Jeff to kill him or any of the others so Mograine walks over to Ragn'nar to wake him up. With a hand on Ragn'nar shoulder he shook him quite good: "Ragn'nar, wake up. That scoundrel escaped and I cant find which way he went except that he went through the whole in our tent.." Mograine then walks over to Tobys tent and rattles it: "Toby! Wake up! The nice friendhe adds with a funny voice, of yourshave escaped and we need to figure out what to do. I dont trust in that he's gone very far."
OOC: *hoo hoo, hoo hoo, a GM owl flies in* Ni kan gå efter honom om ni vill, men det är bäck svart ute.. dessutom kommer ni att ta en point of exhaustion för att ni stannar uppe hela natten. *fly away*
"I say we follow him in the morning, even he has to sleep sometime, and your eyes won't be of much use in this darkness" Toby answers as he steps out of his tent fully dressed and equipped
"If you insist, I could track him down right now, but if we follow him blindly we risk running straight into his friends' open arms" He continues in a calm manner, brushing his tunic straight
"You're both right, I just wanted to inform you about what happened": Mograine says. "I can of course keep the watch going for a few hours further so the two of you could get further sleep, but Toby, do you know any type of magic related to making traps? Just in case Jeff decides to come back during the night I dont want to be caught off-handed."
OOC: Morgaine, if you’re going to take an other watch, then roll me another Perception check with disadvantage. You are getting tired.
If you insist on keep going, then you wont get a long rest. (At least 6h of sleep and max 1h of light activities such as reading or tending to wounds.)

“So what if I am a thug? You talk to much twig..just let me eat and sleep.” He reply a reach for a refill.
"HaHaHaa!" Ragn'nar laugh.
"Mr. Bandit talks to much too!"
Jeff flinches as Ragn'nar adresses him in his gruff manner. "Yeah? Well.. uhm.. shut up!" He puts the bowl on the ground and slide down against the tree trunk and pull his hood over his face. "Fair enough"
Toby quickly raises his tent, crawls inside for the night

With a tired body Ragn'nar goes to the wagon. Sits down, and fall asleep, again.
