You move Zack into a position that is relatively comfortable and not exposed to any prying eyes while Nadia sits by the door, also inside so she is not easily seen but so she can poke her head out and see what's going on. Nadaar, you take what bandages you have and assist Zack in patching up the wound, though none of you are exactly experts in the art of non magical healing, between the three of you you know the basics of wound care. Judging from the look of the wound it's likely to heal on it's own without the need for magical healing or much care beyond keeping it clean, though between this and his arm wound Zack is likely to have a few new scars to show off. Once the wound is successfully bandaged Zack is allowed to rest, by after an hour passes the wound has stopped bleeding.
Nadia, during this down time you take a moment to note a few things. First, both Goblins had small sacks of loot with them. Taking a quick inventory of the goods you find one has the body of a dead chicken and 5cp in it, the other has mostly worthless junk but it does contain a fairly expensive looking gold ring. Theres an inscription on the inside in common that reads "To my Loving wife Semile, Love Jacob."
Once the horses have settled down you also notice a faint moaning, almost a cry, coming from inside the stables that persists at random intervals during the rest. Lastly you 3 Goblins approach one of the houses in town. They seem to be examining he house quite intently. You see they try the door and the shutters on the window but both are locked. They go around back but apparently found no way in as they come back to the front. One tries to hit the door down with no luck. One of the Goblins has a bow drawn and appears to be keeping guard. It kinda looks like they are looking for a secure place to hide, however they give up on this house and head to the other houses in town. Once they cross over past the square they are out of view. (For reference they would be somewhere passed the stables which is blocking the view of most of that side of town.)
(Edit: Actually this would be a good time to jump to a well earned lvl 2 so feel free to do that when you have a chance. For in game reference I'll say an hour passes unless you wish to wait longer in game. Its roughly around 11pm in game)
Nadaar is, in a word, concerned whenever Nadia makes her report. But although he held his longsword closer at hand, and contemplated some emergency magical healing to get Zack back onto his feet sooner, the Dragonborn remains calm on the surface, and just more mindful for any personal noisiness. By the end of the hour, a large yawn escapes the dragonborn's mouth as he made ready to leave with the rest. "Seems we got a destination in mind, perhaps? One aside from keep... *yawn*... I mean. Least if we're gonna be thorough. But, may not want to stay up for too much longer, least the blade of the mind grows dull from the whetstone of rest." He says, caring not if he entirely made sense just then.
After fussing over Zack with only his eyes this time, he blinks slowly, and then a broad smile grows on his face. Yet, just as he opens his mouth to speak, he hesitates, frowns, and then with a sigh shakes his head. "No, that would take far too much time." He says mysteriously. "Shall we check the stables ourselves real quick? Or see to the other matter first?" He asks, assuming of course Nadia delivers the news about the past hours happening. No matter the choice by the others, he follows at least ten to fifteen behind Zack, forcing some pep to his step but without getting really anywhere there.

Zack had faded out for most of the hour, his eyes flitting here and there in time with small spasm' of pain that he had -until then- been ignoring. While unconscious, his usual smile and otherwise bright demeanor faded. unlike most, he didn't seem restful in his sleep, and until now, neither of the other two had, likely, noticed this. His visage bore the heavy expression of past trauma would flood his features between the pain spikes. His breathing, however, eventually grew smoother, and it would appear he was beginning to wake up. His eyes flutter open into the darkness of the night, and a smirk crosses his features, the pained expressions from before vanishing the moment he regained consciousness. Heh.. sorry about that guys... I guess I overdid it a little. And yeah... We may want to get some real sleep .... not that I didn't just get a nap.... But either way.... Seems like these guys are always prepared, which I will admit, came as a shock to me. Didn't think the buggers could his so hard with such shoddy gear. So... maybe we should try this... he would start giving some tips and strategies to use if they engaged any more in the near future. Spending roughly ten minutes giving everyone some tactical plans (Inspiring Leader + 5 Temp HP to all)
But whats this about checking the stables? Something happen while I was out? I'm all for checking it out but as you said, we should catch some real sleep soon. But if we're doing this... Lets do it now. He would say, rolling over, (5) lightly bumping into Nadia during the roll, but his reflexes were fast enough that he caught himself, and adjusted his momentum to allow himself to stand without bowling her over. Sorry about that... You had been so quiet this whole time I didn't notice you there. Gloved hand brushing through the backside of his hair as he offered a close-eyed smile, before finally turning the lantern back on so he could find his sword in the near perfect darkness, at-least for him. Once sheathed, he would nod, as Nadaar seemed to be getting accustomed to, took point. But what did you guys hear? Whats in the stables? he would ask, even as he went.
Nadia watched the goblins in silence, an amused look about her visage when they give up on breaking into the house and move on. She turns back to look at Zack peacefully snoozing away and Nadaar making sure the others wounds were properly dressed. She tells the dragonborn first what she saw as she helps him with the bandages before she sat back again and listened. When the cry first met her ears, she sat up, brows furrowing as she began to focus on the wail, making sure it was a cry... But from what? She felt inclined to go and check it out, but dark brown hues looked over the beaten fighter before her and she decided to wait it out. It would be unwise of her to head out on her own, she only hoped the goblins wouldn't notice the sounds.
When Zack got up, Nadia was glad to have seen him in much better shape, the rest seemingly having done him well. She laughs lightly when he apologizes to her for almost bumping into her and waves a hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it, mijito, let me tell you what I saw and what I've been hearing..." She first talks about the goblins and points out which house they were trying to break into and then which direction they were heading to next. Then she goes into detail about the crying emanating from the stables, expressing that she felt more inclined to head in that direction. "The crying worries me. What if there's a child in there? All alone and scared..." Like we were... "A-and if we properly secure the stables, we could possibly sleep there for the rest of the night..." She hoped that was enough to convince the boys to go to the stables, but she understood if they wanted to deal with the other issue first.
Nadaar had observed, but by rests end, his expression had been smooth of any look of worry over Zack. At least none he couldn't attribute to the previous wounds. With a snort, he couldn't help cutting in at least the start of Zack's planning session requesting trying to resisting napping on an active battlefield. Though the tone of it sounded more like a jest than a blatantly honest wish. Hard to tell either way given the draconic visage didn't lend itself too well towards expressiveness.
"Or it could be the goblin I felled, but not quite killed." Nadaar comments, tugging at golden whiskers once more in thought. Following a rumbling but thoughtful sounding "hmm", he shakes his head and stands up straighter on the spot. "If it is, I am honor bound to see to it first. These goblins have -- thus far at least -- proven as disorderly as my old friend once said. A shame too. I have had the pleasure of knowing a few in my journey. Even heard a few rumblings of this one called Lark living further north along the coasts -- was even hoping to meet them for myself, at that."He chuckles, but the mirth is faint and it quickly dies off in a frustrated sounding sigh.
"But that's not a bad idea, Lady Nadia. At the very least, we can linger there long enough to get the place at least partially prepared before pressing on for another hour at least." He says as he followed along after Zack to the stable.

You all end up outside the the stables. It's a two story building, with a large double door at the front end. Zack, given your experience growing up on a farm, you are familiar enough with stables. Most likely there is some sort if back entrance and the 2nd story is used for storing hay and other things the stable hands would need. Most likely it's a loft and as such would be open , so you could see down below you from up top. This could of course not be the case, but in your experience once you've seen one stable you've seen them all. From your current location the source of the moaning seems to be coming from somewhere towards the back of the stables. The moan, almost a cry, seems weaker than it did an hour ago.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zack finally heard the mewling that the others had heard, and he was curious as to whether this was perhaps someone who had been abandoned... or if maybe it was some enemy who had been injured but not killed and thusly was crying out in pain. As he continued to approach the barn, he tried to focus his hearing, while quieting his own footsteps to better hear it. (Stealth to muffle own noise, followed by perception to differentiate the voices race if possible: 5 / 8)
Regardless of either outcome, Zack would tell them the general layout of most stables, and that he planned to go in from behind, and unless the front entrance was obviously blocked, he would say You two go in from the front, I'll go in from behind. If there's an enemy, we'll pinser them in. If not we'll likely find them faster searching from both directions. And with that, he would shuffle his way as quietly as his armor allowed, working his way to the back entrance that he assumed was there. Zack will ready an improvised action, with his sword sheathed. If something appears to be an enemy, he will attempt to put them in a Sleeper-hold, to knock them out if they are in reach.
After getting inside the backdoor, unless attacked, or his action triggered, he will first try to see if he can tell whether the voice is downstairs or upstairs, and if he can't, he will search for the nearest ladder to climb to the loft and search from there. The lantern is on at all times.
You go to the back as quietly as you can. As you reach the back door you listen for the sound again, it appears to be somewhere inside to the right of you, sounds like the 1st floor. It's very close. (I will wait for the others to post a readied action if they wish to before moving on with the rest of your actions. As far as they can tell the front door isnt blocked or locked in anyway.)

"Mayhaps it best be Nadia alone at the front." Nadaar gestures to light currently hooked up to his belt, if not in hand. But if Zack still insisted on the plan, he refuses taking the light, and gestures back to Nadia. "Just, as they say, busting your balls, my friend. I'm sure Nadia has me covered. We'll just time opening our end when we hear yours open. Fair enough?"
Nadaar starts to open his mouth for a possible protest. But seeing Zack on the move, he chuckles inwardly and makes for the front, a hand almost always on the walls of the stable along the way to help guide the way. Then a thought occurs, warranting a mental kick followed by his pulling a strange splinter from a pouch. "Rise and shine, Gideon." He half-whispers before blowing on the piece, causing it to glow faintly with its own inner light. The light flows out in seconds, and soon there is a dimly glowing version of a more feminine figured dragonborn to his side.
And so it was that Nadaar would open the front door wider, so that the glowing figured would step in first by at least twenty feet before a longsword bearing dragonborn could enter, keeping on the lookout for any signs of their crier.
Nadaar opens the front door the the figure steps in. About the same time Zack opens the rear door enters, the shining light of the lantern appears like a beacon, showing where the fighter is looking at any given moment. Nadaar, as you enter and walk through the stables checking for the sound, all you see are the horses on either side of you. You only give them a cursory glance but they seem to be well cared for. However you see no threats in the stables, no monsters lurking in the corners by the front door and no obvious threats from the loft above you.
Zack, as you enter you take a look quick look around. Checking the loft above you and the corners closest to you for any would be ambushes. You see no threats however, and step in further. After only a few steps you see something in the light of the lantern, the broken and burned body of one of the Goblins you just fought. From the hole in the room and the smell that's a mix of burnt flesh, wood and an acrid acidic stench, you would have to guess that the creature feel through the roof and was badly injured by Nadaars breath attack. The Goblin itself appears to have crawled it's way into a corner and is resting on some hay. Its covered in acid burns on almost every part of its body and its legs are broken judging from the bone protruding from the appendage. When the light shines on the Goblin it covers its eyes with one hand and let's out a pained cry, the same sound you were investigating. You see with it's free hand it appears to be reaching out for its bow, but it's out of reach and even if it wasn't, the bow is snapped in half and is of no use.
Zack likely spots Nadaar at some point, when the door finally opens, but for now he simply focused on the task at hand, keeping Nadaars position noted in case it became relevant. As he gazed around, he did agree with his prior assumption that this stable, thus far was stock, and glad for it. Making it easier to know where was the best places for resting, while also staying hidden. Seeing the burns on one of the goblins, he makes a mental note not to get on Nadaars bad side. As his investigation continues Even zack flinches, seeing the leg wound was he finally spots where the creature lay, a flash of empathy crosses his features as he see's the goblin in it's pitiful state. Zack would take a quick look around, and see if the goblin had any melee weapons on him. If so, he would try to disarm the goblin of the weapon before it could be drawn, and throw the weapon out of it's reach.
((OOC Since I don't know if you're wanting checks so this will be to show my further intent if not, or if you choose to roll for me on whatever check you seek))
If the goblin is disarmed successfully, Zack would holler quietly, just loud enough to b heard in the barn I found a goblin. Hopefully its the last one.
Zack intends to carry the goblin outside in a 'safe' manner in a way that hopefully doesn't cause it more pain than needed, set him on the ground and, after telling the little guy he's sorry, put him out of his misery. Zack would obviously then check to see if anything of worth was on the goblin, but, after that, head back inside to prepare to rest.
(No worries not gonna bother with a check for this. DC 0 as it were.)
You see no melee weapon on the creature. Taking quick look around you find a small blade off in the opposite corner, it appears as though it was locked over there during the fall, in any case the blade is well out of reach of the Goblin is of no threat. As you pick up the Goblin it cries out in pain briefly at your touch. You take the Goblin out back and lay him down on the soft dirt, the Goblin looks frightened of the blade but closes its eyes as it prepares for what comes next. Mercifully, you put the Goblin out of its misery. You search the Goblin for any of its stolen loot. On its body you find a partially burned pouch with a copper peice that is damage from acid, but otherwise useable. In the same pouch is a wood box with slight acid burns as well but again it's only cosmetic. The wood box has a symbol on it, a circular blue sheild emblazoned with a stylized golden lion. Inside the small box are 10 small silvered throwing knives (darts). Once you're sure you find everything you prepare to head back in but something catches your eye. From your position you have a good view of the main residential area which is mostly a few houses and open fields for farming. You can see 3 Goblins by the houses. You watch as they enter a house and quickly search it before leaving and moving on to the next. It looks like they are looking for something or someone. You see they open the door of a house damaged by a boulder and the first Goblin in rushes out in fear as the other two are still by the door. It looks like a small animal in the house attacked the Goblin and is now at the front door blocking the entrance. The creature looks like a normal house cat, except for the 3ft wing span which it bares at the Goblin as it hisses at them. The Goblins look as though they are about to kill the creature before the sound of a horn tears through the air. The Goblins all look towards the apparent source of the sound, the main gat . And start rushing over that direction. It's at this point you remember Nadaar giving two Goblins at the gate the horn to sound as anyone approaching the gate from outside.
Nadia and Nadaar (unless Nadaar decides to go out back with Zack , in which case you see everything Zack does above), you take some time to explore the stables to make sure it's completely safe. You find no other Goblins or other threats inside, besides yourself and the horses the place is very obviously empty. There are two ladders leading up to the hayloft above, one by the back door another near the front. The horses in the stables appear to be well cared for. There are 5 draft horses, all of which appear to be healthy and strong, and one riding Horse. The riding horse has a Grey coat and appears to be exceptionally well cared for. In its resting area are what you presume to be its saddle and saddlebags, all of which are of exceptionally quality as well. It's clear whoever owns this horse treats it with love. In the hayloft above there is ample room to make a makeshift sleeping area from hay, it wont be a feathered bed in a nice Waterdavian Inn but it will be comfortable enough for the time being. However before anyone can start preparing a sleeping area a sound pierces the quite of the night. Nadaar, you recognize this to be the sounds of your horn, coming from the main gate.
(Ohh. So much for the punished goblin revenge arc culminating into an epic 1v1 one duel within a crumbling building. It would've made for an epic story!)
Perking up almost immediately at the news, Nadaar sheathes his longsword and shares a look and a few quiet words with Nadia, seeing if she might continue securing the place during the interim. He catches up eventually to Zack. The light of glowing figure disappears along the way. As he grows closer and sees Zack's intent, he stops short of entering the goblin's line of sight despite all temptations. He dared not even speak, least the draconic accent that sometimes accompanied words gave rise to true terror in the goblin's moments. But never once did he look away. As Zack at least is making ready to return inside after, Nadaar stepped forward, intending to see the extent of the other injuries.
To see if he but spoke up and -- "What is that--?"He starts, thoughts interrupted by the cat and goblins. Surprised into silence as he was, it is hearing the horn and watching the goblins run to the gate that shocks him out of it. "How does that human saying go again? When it rains, it pours?" Nadaar said, a hint of mirth in his voice. "Or more importantly, thought it's a shot in the dark, how much you wish to bet, Master Zack, that these might just be our fair lady's friends?"He continues, appearing in no hurry to rush after the goblins. But if Zack runs off immediately, or the goblins would have a fair lead ahead of the group, only then does Nadaar give the acid scored corpse one last pitying glance before running off in the direction of the gate.
Assuming noone has other plans...

Zack did truly feel bad about ending the goblin. But at the same time, he knew he gave it a swift end to it's pains. Zack ruminated over this, as normally, on a battlefield, you simply didn't have time to. He even allowed a flitting moment of consideration to burying the creature.. in the morning of course. Rubbing his blade across the ground much like a man sharpening a blade, but in this case, it was to remove any blood that may be staining it, before placing it on his back, sheathing it once more. Just as he had finished placing the items in his bag, intending to find the original owners if at all possible - and if not, he would keep them as the spoils of war. He was no theif, but there was also no point in letting useful trinkets or weapons go to waste. He made sure the darts were in easy reach.
Just as he was standing up, Nadaar had came outside and as the two shared a momentary glance, before the commotion of the goblins, Zack made sure to hide the light from the lantern when he faced their direction, using the moonlight to show what it would allow to be seen. Some sort of strange feline creature .. with .. wings of all things, taking a moment to see if he recalled anything on such beings (History: 15) and if so, would commit it to memory later if it proved relevant or interesting. The Goblins had just came through an area, investigating before finding the strange creature. Just as he was about to suggest ignoring it all, and heading in for the night, to hopefully get some actual rest.. for everyone's sake, the shrill sound of a horn blares through the night, startling the trio of Goblins as they ran towards the source.
Just as Nadaar appeared ready to run off, Zack would grab him by the shoulders, and say I realize I'm really not the one who has a right to say anything after today, but I was intending for us all to get some sleep... he would let out a long, drawn out sigh ..But if we are going after them, to the horn... I saw atleast one horse when we were coming here initially.... If you'll give me just a minute.... And if we find any more.... We might just have a better way of getting around. Either way, I'm going to try it before I follow if you choose not to. I have some experience thanks to ... both of my past lives. So either grab a horse for yourself.. jump on mine, or walk. Either way, I'll probably be there before you.... he says with a wink, some of his usual vibrancy returning, as he gives the dragon-man a hard pat on the shoulder. Heading inside the stables, and partially closing, or if not possible, hiding it enough that it didn't outright blind the horse with night blindness. Zack would make a cursory inspection, looking in the 'usual' places where a farmhand, or stablemaster would usually put the riding gear. Once it's location was noted, it was time for the hard part.... Zack would look around for the horse he had spotted initially, and unless he somehow couldn't see or notice the other horses, would seek for the best bred one and attempt to create the bond needed for the horse to accept him as a rider..... Cautiously approaching it but without the smallest bit of fear behind his actions or intentions, softly cooing, and saying nice things generally as anyone raised on a farm around animals knew, to do (Animal handling: 4)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nadia keeps her bow drawn as she quietly pads behind Nadaar as they enter the barn, keeping her eyes out for anything that could possibly jump out at them. She sees Zack at the rear and gives him a nod in affirmation, keeping her eyes in that direction a moment longer to be sure that nothing followed behind him. Call her paranoid, but anything could happen while they lurked about. Needless to say, hearing it was just a hurt goblin made her breathe a sigh in relief. She felt bad for the little guy, and she couldn't bring herself to join the boys in ending its misery so she stays in the stables, looking at the horses, surprised at how well kept they were despite what happened. "Odd..."She'd comment to herself.
She perked up fully when she heard the horn blare, brows furrowing in confusion as she makes her way towards the guys, only to stop and watch Zack head to one of the horses. This is gonna be good, she quips mentally, her eyes lingering on the fighter as he tries to make friends with one of the better looking horses. When she sees it doesn't seem to be going to well, she will (if possible at all now) try and help Zack gain the creatures trust OR if the animal seems to not be liking what Zack's doing (aka starts getting rowdy/noisy) she will try to calm the creature.
Zack, while thinking on the cat creature, you recall an encounter you had a few years ago. You were part of a team tasked with guarding a Wizard who was working for the military, the job itself was uneventful and short, but the wizard was a talkative type and often spoke with the solders guarding him. You remember he had a similar pet, which he called Horace. He explained that its a Tressym, which is in most ways are just like normal house cats with wings, but are slightly more intelligent, capable of understanding the common tongue though they can't speak themselves. Supposedly they are the product of Wizardly experiments on house cats, and though they were once rare their population is rising to the point where they are uncommon but certainty no longer a rarity. The beast you saw looks like it was ready to leap at the Goblins before they ran of, but once they do it walks back into the home and out of sight. As you reenter the stables you see Nadia heading to the back door, but she stops as you pass her and head to the horse you saw from outside. The horse is a Large draft horse, made for working hard labor and not so much known for its speed. However it appears healthy, strong and surprisingly well fed. There are four other Draft horses just like this one, all are of good stock, and again all are well fed and watered, it almost looks like someone had been taking care of them up until today. The final horse in the stables is a Grey Mare, she is smaller and leaner than the draft horses, built more for speed than strength. Her coat looks like its near spotless and someone has even started to Braid her Mane. It's obvious that the owner of this horse spends a lot of time caring for it. In her stables are a saddle, saddlebags and a bedroll tucked away in the corner. The other horses don't have supplies in their stable, but saddles, tack and harnesses and anything else you might want for a horse are easily accessible in the back of the stable and are of relatively good condition.
Assuming you go for the Mare first, if not skip past.
As you approach the Mare she start get rowdy, clearly uncomfortable with your proximity. You try to calm her down, talking softly to her, approaching slowly and making no threatening motions, yet the closer you get the more agitated she gets in turn. Nadia tries to assist but its no no avail, deciding you don't want to risk getting her so agitated she neighs and alerts everyone, you back off and try another horse.
You approach one of the draft horses with Nadia the horses seem to be used to people and don't put up much of a fuss. You're able to quickly get a saddle strapped to a horse, and if you so choose, could easily do it again for two more draft horses without much trouble.
Nadaar, you follow Zack into the stables and as he approaches the horses and inspects them you start to understand why, before you know it he and Nadia are Strapping a saddle onto a Work Horse. You too take notice of the Grey riding horse, its exceptionally fine stock is worthy of a Noble, even if you have no knowledge of horses, it would be obvious to see this horse is at the very least well taken care of compared to the others in the stables.
Once your horses are saddled up, you all hear the sound of chains moving, coming from the direction of the gate.
Zack would appear a bit embarrassed initially... As someone who grew up on a farm... his show was pitiful. However, he accepted Nadia's help eagerly, nodding his appreciation silently. If everyone had a mount, it would assist in so many ways, now, and.. potentially in the future if they kept the horses... Once all three horses were saddled up, Zack would carefully help the horse out of it's stall, if it wasn't already out, Taking a foot, and putting a foot into the stirrup, before launching himself over to mount the creature, shifting his foot into the other one, and shifting until it was 'comfortable' for a 'guy' and wrapping the reins around his wrists ever so lightly. Looking to the other two, he'd nod again We can have the horses Dash back to the gate, and save ourselves some energy. And We'll get there that much faster. Sure it'll be obvious... but at this point.... I think we'll be fine. The two Goblins at the gate are our Allies, at-least for now. And there is an advantage to rousing the enemy.. you'll know where they are. Besides.. I could use a few more scars.. Make the elven chicks go wild! he says with a smirk. As much as Zack did want to sleep.. for everyone's sakes, he was getting excited.. this reminded him of his days in the army, and though not always pleasant... they were always exciting.
Zack nodded to Nadia and Nadaar, but before anything else, he would say Sorry I keep draggin' you guys into shit But as my mentor always used to say... Better to ask forgiveness, than permission! he flashes Nadia a wink, before digging his heels with 'appropriate' but not painful force, to get the mount to go into a full gallop towards the gate. Letting out a pair of tongue-clicks in rapid succession and lightly whipping the reins. All the while, preparing to Attack if needed. The lantern, which Zack had intended to give to Nadaar but.. in his excitement, had forgotten.... was facing forward, on the left-side of the horse.
ONLY IF NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS BETWEEN Vs the goblin Trio - If the horses outpace the three goblins, Zack will direct the horse to barrel over the 'left' most one (like a ram) while letting go of the reins before the 'ram' occors, and if possible while mounted, swing his sword at the 'right most' goblin at the time, before barreling past them to continue heading to the gate. Using his legs and the stirrups to 'help' hold him in place. Then when appropriate, re sheathing his sword, and taking the reins once more.
If the attack isn't possible, he will simply have the horse ram over the leftmost one.
If somehow the goblin trio isn't on the way, or already there, his prepared attack and action will only occor against a visibly hostile creature.
Nadaar had intended to joke and refuse, a line of thought of a good night jog being just what he needs to stay awake for a while longer. Buuuut given the choice between actually succeeding and being on his own with a gaggle of goblins plus whatever the find versus delaying for the others, he relented, if only for the more picturesque idea of riding into possible battle on a noble steed! When he gets inside and see the Grey Mare, a draconic smirk comes to his lips in noting his fellows slightly irritated faces. There were certain tricks, he vaguely recalled, to approaching such a finely kept and well breed steed. Far too prone to become attached to certain riders they were at that! How much of this was true, however, he daren't spared the added thought further to ponder in the heat of the moment. Especially as memories of nobility started to arise in mind.
"Couldn't bear my weight anyways." He mutters in mild amusement before hustling along.
Nadaar is all hustle and bustle, not only readying his horse, but make sure the doors were opened well and wide enough to leave running. "Yesyesyes, Your mentor enjoyed teaching terrible philosophies to their students -- Try to avoid agitating the goblins on the way. We may need their help repelling whatever awaits beyond the gates!"He shouts ahead, hopefully -- HOPEFULLY convincing Zack to hold off on any reckless action. If he can but keep pace with Zack and his mount, he shouts ahead to any goblins sighted along the way in goblin.
"One side! Allies coming through! Don't shoot!" He shouts, hoping as much to be convincing as he was to at least stun them out of immediately proving an obstacle to the gate.
Either way, unless slowed into an encounter, as soon as they come into a fair shouting distance of the gate, he starts calling out for Beedo and Vark to give a report on the situation in goblin, if only for expedience. But if he sees the gates are already lowered to let someone(s) or someTHING inside, he may slow, if only to give himself time to veer off in a direction if either appear worrying enough for it.

Even heard a few rumblings of this one called Lark living further north along the coasts -- was even hoping to meet them for myself, at that." He chuckles, but the mirth is faint and it quickly dies off in a frustrated sounding sigh.

Occassional Dungeon Master.

Occassional Dungeon Master.
To see if he but spoke up and -- "What is that--?" He starts, thoughts interrupted by the cat and goblins. Surprised into silence as he was, it is hearing the horn and watching the goblins run to the gate that shocks him out of it. "How does that human saying go again? When it rains, it pours?" Nadaar said, a hint of mirth in his voice. "Or more importantly, thought it's a shot in the dark, how much you wish to bet, Master Zack, that these might just be our fair lady's friends?" He continues, appearing in no hurry to rush after the goblins.

"Odd..." She'd comment to herself.

(will post soon, some RL to deal with first)
Occassional Dungeon Master.
Occassional Dungeon Master.
We may need their help repelling whatever awaits beyond the gates!" He shouts ahead, hopefully -- HOPEFULLY convincing Zack to hold off on any reckless action.
