Seeing the odds stacked against him, but knowing the longer he lasts the more damage his boss can do, the cloaked figure dodges and weaves to avoid Sekkar's shining blade, all the time grimacing at the accursed bright light. A glowing blade of its own emerges in its hand, and he swings it half-blindly at Sekkar, to no avail.
Pensive continues to try and Help Kaylyn by sending conflicting emotions towards the shadow demon and hiss and make screaming noises.
Kaylyn, fighting in the darkness, continues to do her best to blast the shadow demon. While she cannot see it, with the help of Pensive and some blind luck (pun intended) she has thus far been able to avoid its attacks and also strike out at it. She sends another eldritch blast at the shadow demon.

ROUND 5 Rhayna 28: Gorlak 19:
It's two-against-one, Pax and Sekkar versus the duergar, but it seems to be holding out pretty well against the two of them, dodging their blows or blocking them with his dull glowing weapon. On the bridge Zeno listens to his unseen opponents movement, then strikes at the right time, sinking his blade deep into flesh and hearing a loud grunt of pain and what must pass as curse words in Dwarvish. Directly below, Kaylyn and Pensive combine their abilities to zero in on the demon, and the warlock fires her final energy blast, striking one last time. The demon hisses something in Abyssal (which Rhayna can hear from her position just above on the bridge, and interprets as frustration for having to return to the Abyss without having slain any mortals) and then is not heard, felt or seen again.
Kastix/Rhayna next. The shadow demon is no more. Two enemies down, two to go...

Rhayna is relived that the Shadow Demon is gone, now she can concentrate on the enemy near her, which she is still not able to see. She figures that if she was able to her target once, might as well try swinging her whip again.

Apparently Twinned spell has to target two different creatures. If you like, you can point the second one at Gorlak, but I'll need another roll for disadvantage.
(Also, can’t remember if Gorlak or Shadow Demon cast Darkness, but would there be a concentration check)
Yes admittedly I forgot. I'll try to fix that when I post the next post in a few hours, but might have to fudge a few things rather than redo everything.

(I was more thinking going forward... lots going on, no issue...)
From his new vantage point, Kastix can see much more of the battle. Focusing the power within, he charged not one but two bolts of flame, sending one to strike the duergar holding out against the two swordsmasters, and one toward the sphere of darkness without knowing its effect for sure. Rhayna meanwhile knows that something hot strikes the ground beside her, which puts her off a little, causing her to snap her whipe too late to be effective. Zeno can tell the unseen opponent's attention has turned to him, and that the attacks are coming from higher up than he would normally expect from a short dwarf. This unexpected change is disconcerting enough to permit one swing of the magic blade to strike Zeno with an eye-watering blast.
Sturdy, nimble, or perhaps just lucky, but whichever it was the duergar finally runs out of it as Sekkar runs him through. Dawnbringer's light is lessened somewhat as it is plunged into the duergar's body, but shines all the more brighter with the exhilaration of the kill after the dead duergar slumps off the deadly blade.
Only Gorlak remaining... but he seems somewhat more sturdy than his fallen comrades... I guess everyone can post their actions now. Since Gorlak still has darkness active, please continue to roll attacks with disadvantage, but if he drops concentration I will change them to normal (or advantage) as required. If you are further down the initiative order and want to provide more than one option depending on circumstances (eg 'if I can see him then ___, otherwise ___) then please do so.
"Take him alive!" Yelled Sekkar with all the might of his lungs in hope others do not need much clarification why the brain power behind all the weirdness they were investigating will be a useful source of information.

As the group converges on the darkness, Pax refrains from charging up the hill. She can't tell friend from foe in the blackness. Instead she pulls out her water skin and begins spraying water all over the floor, trying to wet the 20 feet stretch between the walls, for as much as she can with her water, hopefully making a stretch wide enough that it's difficult to jump over. Then, she stands 10 feet further down the passage, and, with her sword out, and her eyes and ears peeled, watching the ground, while listening for any noise or seeing any water or mud move, or muddy footprints appear. She occasionally glances up at the darkness trying to judge the progress of the fight somehow.

Zeno immediately regrets having stayed engaged with Gorlak, which he had done hoping to draw his attention away from what he hoped from the cracking of the whip in the darkness was Rhayna on the other side of the bridge. His success however meant that he was now pretty badly hurt, and starting to worry as he could feel blood running down his side from the wound. He shouted from the darkness, “I think he got bigger!” Then to Gorlak he growled, “Nice hit. If you want the rest of me you’ll have to catch me.” Then he slipped back from the bridge and made his way toward the steps, pulling out a bag of ball bearings and spreading them as he went.

As an action, you can spill these tiny metal balls from their pouch to cover a level, square area that is 10 feet on a side. A creature moving across the covered area must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. A creature moving through the area at half speed doesn't need to make the save.
