Pelaios- Tiefling - Rogue-Thief
Healer feat
Pelaios had joined one merc group after another, only to have them disband, or get wiped out one after the other. It’s hard to survive alone though, and he’s got skills that make him invaluable, notably his skill with sewing up wounds and slapping bandages down that really heal a body. His Infernal heritage is sometimes a boon, sometimes a curse, and often ignored in favor of his skills. So he’s off to find a team again, this time one that’s looking to stick around.
Studying other planes of existence was supposed to be my life's work. I grew up in Feywild and studied in a village with easy access to a planar portal. I've spent a lot of time travelling across Fearun, fascinated by its peoples' music and plane philosophy. I have found many other portals, but my goal was finding a way to reconfigure them.
I thought I was successful when, travelling through the portal in my village, I was transported to the Shadowfell. It was only for a few seconds, though. A vortex of force pulled me back into the portal, and threw me onto the Material Plane. But something was wrong. It was the time of the Sundering. With the forces of the multiverse in disarray, I was reluctant to go back to the Feywild for a time. When I finally did, I found a great patch of lifeless earth centered around the portal, where my village once stood.
I must learn more about the Sundering and the planes, before all the libraries in Fearun burn, if I ever hope to find my village. Or at least learn what happened to it.
Kirin - Level 15 High Elf Wizard (Evocation) - Zorg's Lost Souls - Overchannel Steel Wind Strike for the Win against Demogorgon Silas - Level 11 Human Cleric (War Domain) - Tomb of Annihilation Done
Short Backstory: Fouder grew up in a lawless society, fighting for his place in the world by any means necessary. Adventurers belonging to Talos' clergy took a wrong turn and rode through the town. After Fouder helped them escape unscathed, they took pity on the malnourished youth, and his twin brother, Tonner, and ferried them away to join the priesthood. Fouder lost everything during the Sundering - that is, except his faith. His beliefs keep him fighting on and seeking answers from the heavens.
Bonus Feat (no variant human): Elemental Adept - for Lightning damage type (spells he casts ignore resistance to lightning damage and damage rolls of 1 count as 2).
Archmage Vyzarus was just about to perform an Experiment with an very intricate polymorph spellcasting which he hiped would be permanent, when ripples in reality distorted the weave of magic and caused an interference. The spellcasting backfired and while the Archmage succeded to turn his desk into another Elf, he was turnen into a hatstand. This was the unfortunate end of Archmage Vyzarus but the Birth of Desk Woodrow an Eladrin with dark Brown skin, intens green eyes and long hair that resambles the leaves of the pine tee the archmage's desk was made from. Desk quickly acustomed to his appocalyptic surroundings and became a skilled fighter. However, surviving the cruel hell the streets of Waterdeep have become he often needs to rely on his arcane knowledge that originates from the scrollt and book contained by Vyzarus' desk.
Short backstory: Ballin's colony was ransacked when he was nine years old by a marauding group of goblinoids. A few aarakocra were taken by force, including Ballin's nestmate, Keen. Ballin did his best to find Keen by attempting to track the goblinoids, but after five months of searching without success, he finally gave up. Because he had been away from his colony for so long, and because he felt a normal aarakocra life was no longer within his grasp, he abandoned his former life and traveled to the Sword Coast, where he happened to become an acquaintance of and then apprentice to a bounty hunter, a half-elf named Tanjer Sonolo, in Waterdeep. Tanjer trained Ballin for three years before setting him on his own journey. Ballin enjoyed more than a decade and a half of successfully hunting bounties. He specialized in humans and goblinoids, always having in the back of his mind that he might one day find his lost nestmate, but also scared of what he might find. When the Sundering took place, Ballin traveled back to Waterdeep to find Tanjer. He didn't find him. Ballin is now in his last years, but he intends to go out fighting.
Recruiting open, looking for two more players to join campaign. We are midst dungeon crawl, and have gained a level.
Original post:
It’s been one year since the Sundering occurred. It’s believed that “The Creater” was murdered in his home plane. The death fractured and rippled through all of reality. Meteors screamed across the sky and left a fiery trail of destruction scarring the world. Later it was learned Devas, Solars, and other celestial beings were thrusted into the prime material plane and were crashing down to the earth. The void of the all knowing deity has now created a power struggle as these fallen entities now fight for power with mankind stuck in the middle. Rumors of angels and demons alike gaining support and believers, pocket cults popping up all over the place. Society as it was known before is just a memory. There are no more kingdoms, no more borders, no central religion, no economical system besides trading and bartering favors and usable and practical goods. You are all survivors of The Sundering, making your way and yearning to carve a place in the chaos to thrive, whatever that means for you.
We begin our story in the wrecked and ravaged city that was known as Waterdeep. You have found that sticking in a group increases your chance for survival. You all have come together and managed so far to scavenge for food and items, but the city’s resources are becoming more scarce. You’re are in the basement of a general goods store, your hideout that has kept you safe from weather, bandits, and everything else that lurks in the shadows. Two powerful entities are fighting for control over these lands. Cembessa the self proclaimed “Warden of Peace” is making moves against Kolyyt - “The Hand of the Righteous”. Several cults are forming in the city and are drawing lines in the rubble. The area is on the brink of war. Will you pick a side? Subterfuge from the shadows? Maybe flee and start a new?
Looking for a group to start a very morally grey campaign. Not an excuse to be A-holes, but a campaign where it’s not so straight forward good vs bad. A post apocalyptic setting where the only thing harder to come by than supplies, is trust. Don’t be worried there is still plenty of power out there to be clerics and what not so no class restrictions. This also will not be a “low magic” campaign. Does this sound like a campaign that you can turn the corner and face something way above what your capable of handling? Indeed that’s possible, in those circumstances I will give some advice: run!
We are starting at level 3; roll stats, rerolling ones once.
Since the world has comed to ruined, so has social structure and the line between humanoid and the monsterous races are blurred. All official material is acceptable, Critical Role is okay, UA is mostly okay. Home brew is fine but needs to be approved by me. I’m also not against things like someone playing an awakened animal - We will have to work things out based on the class.
One other thing to consider for Character creation, I will allow for any race to transfer their “main” stat bonus to another star. For example an elf can move their +2 dex bonus to another stat provided it isn’t the same to their second stat bonus. This helps with people playing “against type” without feeling they are “suboptimal”. But again try to make character that will be fun to play and not angle to “break the game”

Name: Yenphanis
Race/Class: Half-Elf (moved +2 char to +2 int)/artificer
Short Backstory: Soldier. After the Sundering he joined one of the cults as a soldier, trying to bring unity to the land. However, his unit was almost wiped out due to poor leadership and he decided to leave the cult and went to work for himself as a mercenary. Given the fallen state of the world, he has resorted to creating and customizing his own gear rather than purchasing it.
Liass has come to what is left of Waterdeep to see what she can find of the other races and what they are doing for survival. Her own people were decimated by the destructive forces that were set loose, and she is seeking survival more than anything else.

Also, I will add a new twist for dice rolling. You can make a deal with the devil (me).
I re-roll your stats with always reroll ones, but you can’t move their allocation. (Rolled in order)
I'm up for it, make the roll and I'll see if it sparks a character idea.
