Hearing the commotion ahead, LSA pushes past the unresponsive Asmodean to join Night Hawk at the exit into the chamber. Ahead she sees Naivara looking like she has a bad headache and in front and to one side, near a rock is one of the ugliest critters LSA has ever seen.
she sees Virran skulking over on one side of the cavern. Stig and bwbrrb seem to be attempting to flank the creature.
concerned for Naivara, LSA lifts her bow, whispers the phrase she uses to cast hunters mark: “I see you, I mark you, may my weapons find you”, knocks an arrow ready to fire.

[OOC: You have got to be <expletive deleted due to forum policies. And don't do it again!> joking! But just to make a point, dear DM, we've had a bit of time getting ready for this. We have the initiative, and Kitty Kat is surprised.]
[OOC: My last 5 d20 rolls have been 10 8 3 9 and 2. Something nagging at the back of my head says the probability of not getting 11 or more 5 times in a row is 3.125%. Just saying!]

Initiative: 6
Seeing the hideous creature step around from behind the stone pillar, its horrible gaze fixed on Naivara, Stig gestures at it with his hammer and growls, "Pierce". Aiming directly at the monster's eye.
Guiding Bolt: 22
Damage: 15
He then lets roar a guttural battle cry and rushes towards the foe, hammer at the ready and shield blocking any direct gaze from the eye. (Next turn action of course)

OOC: Hmmm, I wonder how ‘surprised’ the creature is, as you earlier released a trip wire that set off a loud clanging alert... remember the one that caused you all to run outside? We iz far from surprised. Dodge the trap, maybe surprise, trigger the trap, no surprise for you. He has been awaiting your arrival, so likely the opposite is true. Can I suggest avoiding noise making traps in the future?
"released a trip wire that set off a loud clanging alert"
OOC: ... That was eons ago. Remember the picnic by the tunnel entrance? Kitty Kat will have forgotten the alarm and gone back to waiting for some dribbly little Vegans to chance by.

@ Naivara
The Nothic tries intensively to invade your thoughts and steal your memories. Your defenses, however, are simply too strong. It is unable to gleam any information from your thoughts.
(OOC - You all seem to be itching for a battle, so let's kick things off. Round 1 is in order of initiative, then onto the flexible playing. Personally, I hope you all roll horribly so I can at least get a turn... @Stig / Brandywise - your turns are noted. I will action in order for Round 1.
(OOC @Virran and others ... perhaps we should put a copy of the map on a shared editable file on somewhere like google drive so we can mark in where we think we are and DM can mark on the current location of the nothic. What do you think?)
I thought I was at the tunnel mouth initiating the attack, but it appears from the Initiative approach I was either at the back or I stopped to do up my boot laces while everyone rushed past me ... so I don't now know where I am except playing last before Kitty Kat.
OOC: @brandywise: you rolled a 4 for initiative so in the list of player moves you’re wayyyy down the list of players turns. As I read it from the DM's post when your turn, based on your initiative roll, comes around, based on the moves you’ve said you'll make, your gonna pull the cloak and throw it (turn 1). Then you’re gonna throw the hand axe (turn 2) and then flank the creature (turn 3).
@ everone, remember that you have to roll initiative before making moves. Also, If moves are posted, perhaps we should play what’s said as played. Especially online when it’s not real time. Patience is important in the online game because not every one can be online at the same time. It’s not the same as being around a table where everyone can hear the chatter of options before making decisions.
OOC Wouldn’t you have to skip your turn Morgan? Then our team misses an attack opportunity before monster gets his turn. Just take the attack, I reckon. Sure, it’s not sneaky or advantage, but something is better than nothing.
OOC: Ok, initiative order is posted, so let's stick to that.
@Virran, I can see the value (and reasoning) behind what you ask... but selfishly, that puts the DM at a disadvantage - and I want to at least try and challenge you all, so we'll say you either have to act on your turn or pass until next round. Once this dungeon is finished, we can consider other options. Know this, what's your move going to be?
OOC: In accordance with the initiatives, and with DM agreement, I've deleted my earlier action posts and will wait my initiative turn, after all the team's actions, to decide my play. Meanwhile ... gotta get those bootlaces nice and tight.

Ooc @naivara depends on the SMS rules. Some dms let you give up your initiative for a lower initiative for the battle.
