A man walked in from the back room. He is tall and thin, with an aristocratic bearing. The crowd, which has been pretty raucous up to this time, gets absolutely silent. Jeremy MacNeil, the founder of the Anarch Free States, had arrived. In a heavy scottish accent, he declares:
"Brother and Sister anarchs, i've come to you tonight to speak my mind about a problem which is facing all of us - numbers. Anyone who is on the streets of the Free States these days knows that there are more Kindred than we can comfortably support. Every month more Kindred come here demanding the shelter we have pledged to provide them. This is good, and we welcome our brothers and sisters who are fleeing the oppression of the Camarilla or the Sabbat. Nonetheless, our streets are becoming more and more crowded, and therefore more and more dangerous. Heed my words: stop creating kindred. I know, creating more of our kind seems like an easy way to fill up your coterie and bring power on the streets, but each new kindred that is created here means that much less room for those who need the Free States as a refuge from oppression. Creating vampires is unfair to our fellow anarchs out there, unfair to your brothers and sisters in the Free States, and ultimately unfair to the vampire we create. If you don't believe me, ask him..."
And he points to the corpse on the ground.
"I can't compel you to do the right thing, you're all free to do whatever you want. All I can ask you to do is think about what you're doing, and the consequences for all of us. Thank you."
Most of the elder vampires applaud enthusiastically, but the younger vampires don't seem too pleased, although they clap politely. Jeremy looks over the crowd, seeming to notice who approved of the speech and who didn't, and walks out.
Victor nods when Jeremy finishes his speech and also claps politely the way the young vampires do. The contents of the speech didn't really affect him much and he was more focused on the brevity of it than anything. Short and sweet. I'm sure that the Prince will be interested to know that the Anarch Free State apparently has an overpopulation issue.
"It sounds like you had a rather vivid daydream, Misha. We can talk about it later, if you like."

Misha looked at Victor blankly for a moment, lost in thought at the daydream, and then the speech, but she managed to smile. She looked concerned, but nodded to Victor.
Alana would calmly clap politely after the speech before whispering to Misha. "If you need to step out for a minute to clear your head you can darling. One of us could accompany you as well if you need.Just try to relax."

The Rant begins to break up. Salvador Garcia cut Misha's thought off. Before she could respond, he said in a slight Iberian accent. "You must be Prince Williams Cerberus coterie." he said in a low voice, as not to reveal a cover of some sort. "I am Salvador Garcia." he gestured to his right hand man. Behind him, Salvador's mexican gang waited patiently. "This is Jesus Ramirez. Very nice to meet you all! How are you all? Did you enjoy the Rant? What do you think of our vampire community?"
"My name is Victor, it's a pleasure to meet you. The Rant was a bit shorter than I had anticipated it being. As for the community, it seems rather nice."

"Welcome to the Free States." Salvador says, as the Rant breaks up. Everyone starts heading towards the exit, the gang members are glaring at each other. The parking lot becomes active and people begin to leave in very loud trucks, or sports cars, revving and honking at each other. As you all introduce yourselves and chit chat, most of the other vampires drive off. Your vehicle is very close by - you got a good parking spot. You walk with Salvador as he talks. "Come, I am sure that Prince Williams would be interested in an update on our current affairs here in the Free States. But, this is not a good place to talk. Meet me at my bar, A Taste of L.A., it's a kindred only establishment." He gives you the address. "Normally, the Free States would frown upon Camarilla agents, or spies, if you will allow me the word, but Williams and I go back quite a while so I am willing to host you here. Let us enjoy a drink, an-"
Most of Salvador's El Hermandad gang bangers have left. A large jeep pulls up with two black men inside, and for a moment everyone looks to see what they would want. The passenger in the jeep pulls out a double barreled shotgun and fires two shots point blank range at Salvador's head. He gets hit, flies off his feet, and Jesus rushes to catch him. As the jeep screams off, Jesus cradles Salvador in his arms and screams, "The Bloods! Get them!"
THE SITUATION Time for some good ole fashion revenge. The Bloods is a gang in the Free States and have just sneak attacked Salvador - Prince William's old friend. Even though members of the Camarilla, the Free States don't really know who you are, so this is an opportunity to walk the walk while "undercover", and car chase after these guys to earn the respect of El Hermandad. Not to mention it would be a very poor report to return back to Colorado to explain to Prince Williams why you stood there and did nothing during the ambush.
Alessandra's eyes widen in horror at the sight of Salvador being shot, her gaze soon darting over to the car of the Bloods who caused this. "We need to catch up with them," Alessandra declares, looking to the others, her voice full of urgency. "Get close enough for Victor and Misha to shoot out their tires to get them to crash. I don't know if Sorrin can catch up to them on foot and I can try to drive, but if not, Sorrin, you're driving. Let's go."

You all pile into your car and chase after the jeep. The jeep rips onto Cahuenga and roars north, driving under the Hollywood freeway and continuing along the access road that parallels the freeway. They make a screeching left onto the bridge across the freeway, and then turns north on Cahuenga West. The night traffic is very sparse along this stretch of road, so you have no trouble keeping the jeep in sight when it makes the 180 degree turn onto Mulholland Drive. It's a steep, very twisty road that runs up to the top of the Hollywood Hills and then along the spine on the mountains all the way to Calabasas.
Now is the time to strike. No public, it's nighttime, the road is extremely curvy with blind corners and a steep drop off to the left. Few vehicles are coming on the other side of the road so it's still risky to try a maneuver against oncoming traffic.
MECHANICS The jeep has a head start of 3 successes. In order to get close enough to do anything, you'll need to catch up to it. This will be a contest against DV2. I will roll for the drivers, and one of you will roll a pool of Dex + Drive. First person to 7 margins of success wins. If you guys win, you catch up and can do what you'd like, including shooting. If the jeep wins, it gets away. The winding roads make it difficult to shoot, you need to catch up.
The coterie manages to catch up to the speeding Jeep! From this point, weapons are drawn! Misha and Victor pull out their pistols, with the passenger of the Jeep leaning out the side with this own gun. An exchange of bullets erupts!
MECHANICS Because of the chase, gunfire, and the winding roads, all rolls suffer a -2 dice pool penalty.
- Sorrin, in order to stay on top of the Jeep, you'll need to make a DV2 Composure + Dexterity test. You gotta stay cool and composed under the threat of bullet fire to remain cucumber enough to let Misha and Victor do their part. - Victor and Misha, it's going to be a DV4 Composure + Firearms test to keep your head on while the car swerves trying to stay on top of the jeep to get a good shot in. Remember to add your weapon damage rating to any margins of success for damage.
Alana leans towards the window forcing eye contact with the driver, muttering seductively. "Forget." She wonders if this will cause a car crash before shrugging and moving away from the window for Misha.
After a few seconds the driver pauses, all memories of the last few minutes wiped from his brain.

Misha took shots at the passenger driver, completely missing. God DAMMIT. The movement of both vehicles made it difficult for her. She grew irritated, then very annoyed, then super angry! The Blood boiled in her veins, and she lost control of her personality. She roared in the car, the black leather she was wearing tightened audibly and threatened to rip as she tensed up so tightly. Not even her willpower could stop the Beast from showing itself.
Victor aimed and fired, a thunderous shot. It hit the driver, and he sprawled out of the passenger seat and tumbled to the road behind the two vehicles. It was unsure if he was still left alive. Alana was able to grab the attention of the driver. Just one moment, that's all she needed - he looked, and she mentally issued a supernatural command. With a look of confusion, the jeep started to slow down. The two cars were now side by side..
"RAM THE JEEP OFF THE ROAD!!"Misha commanded, her voice guttural, feral, almost alien. Failing to contain herself, or regain control over her fury, she looked at Sorrin with an anger that if he didn't obey, she would rip out his spine and flay his entire corpse on the street.
Since the jeep is now cruising at a normal speed, the -2 die penalty no longer applies.
"Don't do that, Sorrin!" Victor shouted out as he leveled his gun. "We don't need an incident." Damn it Misha, you had to let the Beast out now. "Alana, Aless, do something about Misha! I don't care what, just keep her from doing something she'll regret." After Victor finishes giving his directions, he easily hits the driver with a well-placed bullet. (4 margins +3 for 7 damage)
