Arrow looks at the man - does he look like the kind of person who might be worth some kind or reward?
[Insight: 20]
Arrow looks at the man. Without any finery he appears to be worthless. However, even beneath his broken tortured side, there is something about how he holds himself when he was moved, and his tones denote he is from some form of nobility, so perhaps.
So the party has three main options at this point:
Remove the barricade they set up and continue down the passage where they found the myrkulite woman.
Head through the other door in the room they found the noble.
Return up with the noble and try and get a reward for rescuing him.
Happy holidays, players! I know this time of year will be busy for most, including myself. Over the next week or two my posts may be a little less frequent than normal. Hope you have a great time, and we'll be back to the usual frequency in the new year.

Hunferho votes for option #1 (continue down the cultist passage), but will not object if the others want something else.

I do not want to go back up to the surface without clearing as much of this nest as possible. We're back up to full health (mostly), so we should be able to take at least one more fight like the last one.
There is a couple of minutes of calming the noble down as they want to be taken upstairs as soon as possible, but relents after some persuading. The party removes the barricade from the door to continue onwards. Continuing into the curving corridor, it has another two paths to take. There is a door on the right wall, and beyond that anther short staircase, leading to another door.
Arrow busts open the door to find a single small room, some 10-15 ft. long and wide and there is a single creature lurking in this room. Out in the middle of the floor is...
A rat!
There is also a path that leads right into another narrow corridor...
Hunferho follows Alea's lead, towards the narrow corridor to the right.

The group enters the room. The rat, seeing its natural predator in a larger, more deadly form than usual, begins to flee towards the corridor. However, it was not anticipating the deadly accuracy of a bounty hunter with a keen to kill. The dart soars through the air, striking into the rat and slaying it immediately.
The corridor ahead appears to be a dead end. It lowers down and is partially submerged with sewage water, like other paths have been in this place. However, it is made evident that about 30 ft. ahead the entire corridor has caved in, rubble collapsing the path ahead.
Returning back to the door, it seems simple enough to open and leads through to another dry and partially collapsed room. Within this room is another altar, where several half-melted black candles lie, unlit, towards the right of this small chamber. There is a set of stairs to lead down and to the left out of this room, the bottom appearing to lead into flooded shallows again.

Khaffosi pulls out the spellbook and tosses it after saying, "Bah, another worthless book."

Following Hunferho and Alea, Pogo moves to the corridor
