Pizazz's Ravenloft and Beyond

(He would be warned (reminded - and stopped! After all, that was the whole point of sending Rat first!)

((Ok, I’m fine with that... thought point was to get past bars but if held up or called out to Ketch would definitely stop...))

     “Oh, huh...” Ketch says, stops, spits, harumphs.  “Right then.  We have a plan past or just going to stand here and wait?”

‘Meepo go.” Meepo says, casting misty step and teleporting himself into the chamber beyond.

(Can we see into the room down the stairs without going down?)

You can see into the room and down the stairs without moving through the magical traps area. 

You watch as Meepo appears at the top of the stairs and begins descending. 

What's Meepo do? 

"Ketch, if there's a fight, you need to get in there, right? And Ulthan, you're OK to stay back and use your bow?"

Meepo has his skeletons ready actions to shoot if anything hostile appears, then Meepo moves around the room, first looking for anything lost, then, once that important part is done, would move to the coffin itself.

     “Yes,” Ketch answers.  “I’m far more effective up close.  Fighting or healing...”

"hrmpfh ulthan always ready unless surprised hrmpfh"

Mordekai goes to stand next to Ketch, peering into the room to watch Meepo. If any creatures jump out or materialise or rise from the dirt, Mordekai will cast Dimension Door and take Ketch with him, to appear at the bottom of the stairs (or, depending on what's happening, somewhere at least 10ft away from any enemies).

Meepo heads down the stairs and begins looking around.  Oooh, a rat skull..... he glances around to drop it on his disk of stuff...oh... oh, here it comes, obediently following him towards the *bamf* ...the disk and everything on it vanish as it passes through the space filled with magic before the entrance to the room. 

Meepo frowns as his disk vanishes then sighs and starts to call up another. As he does so he sends Rat after the first one, wanting to see where Rat ends up.

He sends Rat after the items. Rat vanishes with a bamf. But...he is replaced by an undead Wight.  The creature lunges at [Ulthan, Mordekai, Lionel, Ketch] 3 ...   Lionel!

Attack: 7 Damage: 4 (On a hit, DC 13 CON save or HP max reduced by same amount)

Attack: 14 Damage: 5

Everyone may take their turn.

Mordekai transfers Hex onto the Wight, and fires his customary Eldritch Blasts.

Attack: 20 Damage: 8 + 6 Hex 

Attack: 14 Damage: 11 + 2 Hex 

Activating the sword in response was practically Lionel's second nature by now:

Attack: 17 Damage: 9 + 6

Attack: 26 Damage: 18 + 8

(damage - radiant, Wight is exposed to daylight)

(Meepo is not near the white correct? Sounds like that is outside of the crypt. Let me know if that is incorrect. Does he still sense Rat?)

     Ketch swings with the thighbone (( Mace of Disruption )) while shouting out a curse.

Attack: 25 Damage: 8

If that hits it’s an extra 5 Radiant damage on Fiend or Undead.  If the target has 25 hit points or fewer after taking this damage, it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be destroyed.

At 3 Ulthan looks for clear shot into the fray, and when he finds it he releases a couple of arrows.
Arrow one: 26 Damage: 10
Arrow two: 13 Damage: 10

The undead creature stood amongst the party for about 2 seconds, taking a couple futile swings at Lionel, before the area erupts in sunlight, and arrows, a thighbone blow, blasts of magic and sword strikes hit it.  The thing literally explodes into chunks of dried out flesh and shattered rotted bones.  Meepo, who was down the stairs from the creature looks up in time to see his party destroy the undead thing. The shining light from Lionel no longer hurts, and actually feels pleasantly warm to Meepo. 

He can still sense Rat.  Rat is somewhere nearby....though...it's dark, and it's a small enclosed space....coffin sized.  Though, it's not the one near Meepo, since that one is wood, and Rat is inside a stone coffin and is not strong enough to push it open. 

Meepo nods and leaves Rat where he is, having the tressym settle downa nd rest, with the items Meepo must get once this is all done. He continues his task here, finding lost things, his new disk floating behind him. Then he moves towards the coffin.
