At 15 Ulthan will be at highest point possible up the circular stairs that would have reasonable view of the entrance to he stairs. So maybe 2 floors up? Once he sees someone not us he'll let loose two arrows, if the whole group is moving forward, he'll follow, using his height to send arrows of mild irritation into them. Arrow1: 12 Damage: 20 Arrow2: 8 Damage: 16
As the press of fleeing undead rush away from Ketch, another wave of undead that couldn't see him and were around the corners flow in, like the waves of an ocean, and dozens of undead come charging into the room. The lumbering statue is still 20 feet from the front of the doorway, and the rest of the undead are charging up to Ketch (but unable to attack this turn), a wall of them that threats to spill out and over Ketch.
Mordekai unleashes two blasts at the lumbering form before backing up to the stairs. Lionel stays relatively close to Ketch at the doorway. Far above...arrows are pointed with deadly intent at the doorway where Ketch is waiting for enemies to emerge.
(aka, the bad guys all move this turn before the undead and golem)
Next round, everyone's turn!

Until the golem makes it's way to the stairs, fighting zombies one at a time was a good option too. Lionel joined Ketch in the doorframe to keep undead hoards at bay. He attacked the closest corpce.
(Together they should completely block the entrance, right?)
Ketch steps just enough to the right to allow Lionel to fill the left of the doorway and them both to have freedom of movement to attack whatever may try to step through it. Ketch swings his Giant Slayer axe at the closest undead to him and then summons his Spiritual Weapon[ which appears much like his own axe, but glowing and floating and with the Eye of Gruumsh etched into the sides of the blade in fiery red… The Spiritual Weapon appears just the other side of the doorway so as to hit the same creatures, just from the other side…
Mordekai moves up, around the stairs and looks down through the doorframe. (DM does some quick trigonometry to determine height of the stairs at that position, angle of "attack" and furthest point into the room that he'd be able to see.). Crouching down on the stairs, he can just barely see the feet of the golem as it approaches, and unleashes two blasts. Because the golem has a significant amount of cover though from the door frame and angle, one blast crashes off the wall just above the door, and the second slams down just in front of the feet missing.
Meanwhile, Ketch and Lionel line up in the door with the hopes of keeping the undead at bay.
Lionel's magic raises some protection as he swings his blade at the first undead to come within striking distance. His blade slashes twice into the closest one, sending bits of undead body flying, but the creature is still very much moving. Ketch meanwhile, with his axe, and a transparent axe that appears, attacks the nearest one to him, sending bits of rotted dry husk and bone splattering into the air.
Then the crush of creatures slam into the two. Two can get to each of them at a time.

Ketch athletics: 8 (Was thinking golem’d shove undead aside but I think our ACs are good enough we should be able to hold the mob at bay til we clear golem a path? Least til one of us rolls bad athletics check…)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing the amount of cover the Golem is getting, and that the advance has been slowed enough to make his single- target attacks worthwhile against the horde, Mordekai stays where he is and settles down to take aim through the gap between Ketch and Lionel's shoulders, sending his next Eldritch Blasts against the squishier undead.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The undead are very easy to hit...they just seem rather resilient. Blades and spells crash into the undead. One of them finally collapses under the blows but another steps into its way. The golem does indeed push itself forward though, and shoves some aside so it can take a step closer, it's now just behind the front line. Still, undead attack the two heavily armored warriors standing in a line holding them back.

Ketch is shoved back and accepts that... Listening to what Lionel says, Ketch will try to move between Lionel and the mass of undead, defending his teammate as best he can from the horde while backing up towards the steps. ((The idea is to back up NOT out of melee but still inevitably getting closer to the stairs?). Meanwhile, Ketch also makes his attacks...

The undead push back Mordekai and Lionel into the shaft, making room for themselves to press forward, A press of bodies emerge from behind them, swarming up the stairs before either Ketch or Mordekai can. All along the narrow stairway, a press of undead go scurrying up as Lionel and Ketch are still catching their balance. Two arrows whistle down from above, as Mordekai unleashes two blasts. An undead collapses amidst the horde of them.

The last zombie was particularly damaging - Lionel clearly heard (and very much felt!) the rib crack (Con Save: 18 Shield concentration (DC 18) 10)
"Ketch! Let's go up, we'll have them one or two at a time!"
He allowed the zombie to push him away, then attacked and turned to move to the stairs - now the undead army would definitely follow.
