The Valley of Ends

Onyx seams a little distracted and nervous, it looks like that 5 weeks of leisure pace don’t agree with the Tabaxi.

Investigate Fiery Horseman - TBD

An unidentified horseman has been seen prowling the plains across many cities, Investigate and determine threat and If seemed necessary terminate. 

Salys, who looks like he's lost some weight, but maybe gained some muscle, with 50 long days sweating in a forge, glances over the lists, "Perhaps the Efreeti? The second seems nice enough, but not really what you're looking for, and the last, who knows? But saving townsfolk seems like a straightforward fight that could be right up our alley."

"I agree, Salys, that seems like the most pressing mission at the moment." Resfaen says.

"hunting an Efreeti, sounds challenging. Count me in."

"Sounds like fun..." Gotch says with sarcasm, but he shrugs. "Count me in as well."

"Well count me out. It has been interesting for sure and I have stories to tell at the bars for sure but I believe this is as far as our paths will travel together. The path you guys are taking differs from the path I wish to take," Finoglin states as the party comes back to the Residence with a new compass and the job posting to find Fingolin with a very filled backpack waiting for them. He goes and shake everyone's hands, "Perhaps in the future our paths will cross but know our stories will be sang across the bars and taverns across the valley," Finoglion waves to the party as he walks away and disappears into the crowd. 

Looking around the residence, the party finds Finogolin's room has been emptied and few trinkets around the place taken. After getting a night's rest, the party set off under the direction of the compass for fives days until they come what seems to be part destroyed sorched down, part refugee camp. They partry sees a figures jogging towards from as they appoarch the town, a young human man greets with a stutter in his voice as he tries to talk.

"Err....Welcome to Rhory. You're the ones about the job posting? The ..e.Efferrti?" 

Salys gives him a cheerful nod and smile, "That's right, my boy, that's why we've come. Mind telling us a bit about what's happening here?"

"Well...As you can ssseee, We're been attacked and what you see is all that remains. We're set up tents for the time being as we figured out what to do next. Tthis is where you come in. If we can get cann get rid of the those hellfire raiders weh ca just just rebuild," The young man states, At closer look, you see he has discolored skinpartily banadged up under his ragged clothes, "We have this belt we can offer as a reward if you can stop them. They're set up in those mountains as their home base. Legion sent a party there but it's the borders where the strong ones. The inland weren't a match you see," He points a black mountains far in the distance, "It's semi active volcano that the Effertti and his band have taken as their base,"

(Anyone else want to be riding a dire wolf? They are large so anyone of us can ride them... We have a total of four)

Gotch sits astride his dire wolf mount, the other three wolves close by, obediant to his orders to stay close by. He pats the one he rides as he looks over the tents.

"Do you have more information of what we are up against here?" he asks.

"Don't use ffire? They're very heavy on fire and strong against it" The mans states while pointing towards the sorched builds before he eyes the group before settling on Resfaen, "You mmmay want to be care with armor like that. It's very hot there,"  

"Thank you for the warning, I will keep that in mind." Resfaen says. "Do we want to set out now or wait till morning?" Resfaen asks the group as she scratches underneath the chin of the dire wolf she is riding.

"Good luck wittth them... We'll be here or somewhere if you come back," The young man quickly moves away, quite unnerved by the dire wolves and moves back towards the tents city. 

Does the party wish to head for the mountains or something else? Thre's no shopping to be done through.

OOC, brought the tigers as well?

Salys, still astride Bearskr, nods, "I don't see any reason to delay, but we should be careful about where we rest for the evening."

Collecting what they need to know from the man, the party departs on new dire wolves legs heading towards the mountains, spending rest of the days moving swiftly than they have before the dark mountains are still far away as night approached. Resfaen is first to notice the heat as they get closer to the mountains before noticing the landscape changing from green fields to ashen barren grounds. 

As the party move through a brunt down forest of scorched trees the party becomes awake of something running at them faster than they were moving. It takes a bit of time to see a pack of four hell hounds are coming after the party.

Distance: Hell Hounds are about 60ft out with half cover as they weave in and out of the trees.

I assume dime light? Onyx will burn a spellslot to cast Huntersmark on the leading Hound and then shoot three arrows at it.
