The Valley of Ends

Onyx shows what could pass as a parlor trick in some places as he portal a dimensional portal and everyone climbs in with not much space but it's safe for an hour. (Short Rest achieved. Gotch is no longer memory drained) 

Salys arcana with assistance: 25

While in the pocket dimension of Rope Trick, Salys has an eureka moment. They're in a demi plane probably stored in the large black orb they saw before being dragged into it. Demiplane typically have their own set of rules depending on the creator but there was an entrance and probably an exit somewhere. Determining the rules of the plane could be important depending what rules. 

“I saw some strange object in the attic of the house, those clones may be guarding it , maybe it has a connection to this plane? “
Onyx theorises.

Salys obviously shares his realization. "A demi plane within a sort of demi plane, what a strange route our lives have taken. There was a way in, and there must be a way out, does anyone have any idea of what kind of rules we might be working with here? Besides fear, violence and islands, which is all I've noticed."

“I’m a much bigger fan of starting with the weird object upstairs and working our way down... starting with the basement sounds like just asking for trouble.”

Onyx looks worried at Del, who suddenly started to speak in a different voice: “Did you get possessed or something?”

(waiting for someone to actually do something, i'm just taking everyone so far as discussion)

"Not sure about rules, let me think on it..." Gotch says. Arcana: 20

"I too would like a look at this strange thing in the attick." Gotch says when it is brought up. "I'd rather not face another of those things if I can help it..." he still recalls the memory drain and its affects on him quite well.

Gotch knows what Salys says about demisphere lines up what he knew about Demisphere but the rules applied to each demisphere requires observation and deduction. Examples he knew are some demipshere are domain of wild magic, some focused on specific emotions,  some are focused on create creatures of the demisphere.

Onyx will lead and show them the way upstairs into the attic, always keeping an eye open for more tentacles and people. (Perception 22)

Resfaen follows behind the group, keeping a watch out for any tentacles that might creep up on them.

Onyx carefully leads the party to cellar without any signs of tentacles. He points out a large wood box with the lid had been hastily planed back on as Onyx left. Moving the lid reveals a small ornate wonder craved box, the appearance of which causes hair on back of head and arms to stand straight up 

„I think that is something for the more intellectual and magical gifted among us, but i know it gives me the shivers.“ Onyx will keep an eye on the stairs and the surrounding walls.

Cythriel doesn’t seem to pay much attention to the box, instead focusing on her surroundings like Onyx.

Perception: 24

Like Onyx, Cythriel turns away from the box, doing her best to ignore th feeling of dread as she looked around but find nothing of note in this barren cellar. 

Salys will attempt to examine the strange object, presumably with the assistance of the others.

Investigation: 26

Salys can see it's a ornate box, about size of a humanoid's a foot wide all around with many spiraling patterns engraved around the exterior, he think could be sold for a pretty copper to the right buyer. The box itself has no latches or locks, the lid seems like it could easily be opened. A few poke brings out no reaction from the box itself.
