In response to Villanelle, Vulcan replies, while still inspecting the rock, "Zu'u lost haalvut faal edge do what hi can ni mindok." Once he finishes speaking, he pockets the rock and casts an uncaring glare at Villanelle for interrupting his train of thought, before grunting at her in annoyance.
"I have touched the edge of what you, have no way of understanding."
The walls of this particular room are perfectly featureless - you cannot find a single imperfection anywhere you look. The statue of the half man half eldritch horror is perfectly carved. The only thing noticeable is on the ceiling. You can see what appears to be an enormous mural of hieroglyphics on the ceiling. This time, there are no symbols, but pictures. From what you can see, and from what your minds can perceive, it appears to be a huge mural of humanoids and planets.
The hieroglyphics are perfectly carved, as if done by machine. If it was indeed carved by people, which you can't tell, the craftsmanship is impeccable. A few scenes catch your eye.
One collection of hieroglyphics depict what you believe is some sort of timeline - if you could even call it that: An elven woman stargazing, and off to the side, a small toy bear that looks horribly sinister. Just looking at it's eyes, even though it is a hieroglyph, puts some of you on edge. The next hieroglyphs show her floating above different worlds with her hands raised high as if casting a spell, or issuing commands, you're not sure - but the planets transform. Tentacles dominate the art. Another scene on a different part of the ceiling shows another woman with hands raised above a large star system, but what's different is that her hair is shaped like a drape - as if containing a small window to another universe - or so you can tell. Since the pictures are on jet black stone, it's hard to distinguish additional features but the message is clear: a vast variety of people, humanoid and inhumanoid, are corrupting whole systems in the name of something terrible.

You hear East to another unlit corridor, running North and South. The end of the corridor is completely lost to darkness. There are a number of solid black stone cells opening off to either side. As you look in each cell, a drain is on the bottom of the floor. The cells do not have any doors, and each one of the is immaculately clean.
The cells look inviting, and clean. Something in your mind nudges you to step inside. If it wasn't for the fact that everything about this place was unnerving. Madison took a step forward towards one, keeping an eye on anyone who might be standing too close to her, and peered inside. It was some sort of chamber. But..for what..?
Tora frowns as her eyes flicker to Madison. "Do not suggest entering. Unnerving."If Madison ignores her warning, Tora lets out a small snarl and places a firm hand on her shoulder to stop her advancement towards the cells.

Madison did not need another warning. She startled at Tora's touch, looked at her, and backed away from the cell. "I would completely agree with you."she added.
Something wet and large made a sound up ahead. Madison gasped and looked in the direction north down the hall, into the darkness.

Tora's head snaps in the direction of the sound and a low growl radiates from her throat. She narrows her eyes to focus for a source as she steps a small distance away from Madison.

Tora frowns and heads towards the sounds slowly, a mist hesitantly beginning to surround her body almost ethereally as she approaches the weird sounds. She narrows her eyes in the darkness to try to make out what is the source of the sounds.

THE MONOLITH THE FOUNTAIN OF URTHIS TEMPLE INTERIOR CORRIDOR OF THE SUPPLICANT HIGH ALTAR OF THE HERALD UNHOLY CIRCLE OF RBTECHA ANNIHILATION CHAMBERS ALTAR OF COSMIC ETERNITY <----
Tora: As you move closer to the north side of the cells, you realize another room lays ahead. It's pitch black in this room, and you're standing just outside of it. Suddenly, numerous inky tentacles wrap around your face, smothering you tightly. Like how a knife slices flesh, you feel your mind burn and rip apart, carving through the palette of your consciousness, destroying you while reconstructing you in the known and unknown. Each second you spend screaming and tearing at the Darkness on your face changes you further and beyond the boundaries of reality. You fall unconscious on the floor and suddenly you are alone in the Monolith.
Everyone else: Tora is attacked by what you can see are tentacles of Darkness, smothering her face. She screams, tearing at them, and in a moment, she is gone.
Tora: For weeks at a time, you slept on the hard black stone within the center of the Monolith, but your consciousness was awake, like you were in a living coma - in the darkness. Utter and complete blackness. Years turned into decades, and decades turned into centuries, yet..you did not perish. Your existence wrote itself into the void between the elements of your physical presence - the microscopic spaces amid tissue and cell, flesh and bone. The information that depicted who you were replicated within the vast template of emptiness that spread through the eternity within you. Your joints and muscles grew decrepit with age, leaving you without mobility even if you could achieve it again. Horribly, you remained alive locked in your consciousness without need of food or water, or any other form of sustenance. You lived as your body degraded and decomposed. Your flesh withered and scattered like dust in the winds that passed over you again, and yet again. It would be a millennia before the bones of your remains had decomposed enough to free you from their imprisonment. Finally, your prayers were answered and you were nothing. You became the in between, the space unkempt, and the space unseen. You became the vast and the knowing - you became one with the Darkness.
Tora: You startle violently awake, looking up at the horrified other members of your adventuring party. Every single cell in your body wants to scream in horror.
"******* HELLS!"Madison cried, "What the **** happened?"she seems on the verge of a panic attack. This entire place had her on edge. "You just..collapsed..!"
Madison begins dragging you away from the room you were about to enter. "There's something in there!"she said, pulling out her pistols after dragging you a number of feet back.
Tora coughs and let's out what sounds like a mix of a snarl and a groan of pain. "Not. That way. ****. That way." The mist had dissipated when she had went unconscious and Tora sorely props herself up, coughing what appears to be some black smoke before forcing herself to her feet.

"Gods forsaken, what the ****."Madison whispered under her breath. She looked north towards the hallway, sweating, and on edge. She couldn't steel herself to go forward.
While still in mist form, CloudFreya swirls around Tora, helping to provide some calming protection of her as the group continues on. The outer edge of the misty cloud begins to swirl in rapid, tornadic action, acting like a shell to protect the precious contents within.
