Immediately grasping that something is very wrong from Lumen's reaction and his shouting in a guttural language that she could only guess was some goblinoid or orcish tongue, Kess had opted to draw out her scimitars.
Kess slips into some nearby trees, looking to hide in the brush so as to make herself scarce and lay in wait if the orcs decide to come aggressively closer. If these creatures were looking to attack the party, she wanted to be sure to take them by surprise.

Quickly moving off the trail, Kess steps into the woods and stealthily pads her way through the trees to a vantage point about twenty feet away, before crouching down into the thick brush. She can still see the approaching orcs, but she's not sure they can see here... at least she hopes they can't see her.
Thumping its chest and roaring with a guttural battle cry, one of the orcs sprints forward with surprising speed and closes the distance to within 30 feet of you before hurling a javelin at Chrys.Attack: 13 Damage: 5. Fortunately, she's able to get her shield up just in time and deflect the missile away from her body.

"Uh ohh... uhh.... " Krackle would mutter as he starts to panic. Then as a Javelin slams into Chry's shield he shouts "Hey! leave my friends alone!" before jumping off Lumens shoulder and transforming into a brown bear As he reaches the orcs he would quickly begin biting and tearing at them with his claws and teeth!
Since assuming Wild Shape is an action, you'll have to wait until next round to complete your attack. I'll let you keep this roll, though. No need to waste good dice! So, you can do wild shape and movement this round, and I'll assume that you take your movement to approach the orc that's now 30 feet in front of you.
"Scary an' unseemly? That's what I am if an orc messes with me anyway," Chrys growls, glaring at the orc who threw the javelin at her. "Duin, guide our blades!"she yells, banging her shield in a war cry of her own, blessing herself, Kess, and Krackle. She advances just far enough to be a juicier looking target than Lumen is, and glares at the orcs. "Well? Come an' get some, if ya feel like dyin' today!"

Chrys blesses her two companions with Duin's aid and steps forward to taunt her enemy with heroic confidence, the second orc charges forward from the group and follows with a similar action as his own cohort. Snarling and snouting guttural cries to Grummsh, he bashes at his chest and hurls his javelin at the dwarf Attack: 23 Damage: 6. He seems to put a little more weight behind his throw, and it comes in quickly and slams into Chrys's chest before she's able to get her shield up.
The other three orcs, who are still 80 feet away from you, and 50 feet behind their two forward companions, stand back, cheering, roaring, spitting and shouting foul orcish insults at the top of their lungs, as they bash their weapons against their chest.
Then... suddenly, you see movement in the forest just off to the side and slightly behind them... it's hard to discern, through the thick trees. You almost think your eyes are playing tricks on you at first, but then you watch as the mound of roots, leaves, mushrooms and wet vegetation that's lying next to a thick, tall, moss covered stump with half rotten bark begins to rise up, as if there's something rather large hiding underneath the pile.
It keeps rising up and growing in size, although you still don't see whatever is hiding beneath the pile. Then you start to see the stump move. It begins shifting in conjunction with the mossy, leafy, root pile, and you realize that it's all connected. In a few seconds, it's risen to a height of about nine or ten feet, and you realize that large mass of sticks, roots and rotting vegetation is actually alive. Its entire "body", which consists of four, thick, squat limbs that are comprise of a many sticks, vines and twigs, and a stout, stocky torso are covered in what looks like a layer of the forest floor. At the top of its body, you see an opening that look like a huge gaping maw that's framed by a row of tee that look like bark.
Throughout all of this, the three orcs seem oblivious to what's going on right behind them, that is until the thing lashes out and swats at one of them with its immensely powerful limbs. You can tell from the sheer power of the attacks, that the orc is killed instantly, and you watch as its body goes limp as it is lifted off its feet and seemingly engulfed into the mess of vegetation. The other two orcs turn and look on in horror as they watch their companion's body dangle lifelessly as its held tightly by this strange forest thing...
Vesper is up.
(The dice warning is because I deleted the creature's rolls)
As Vesper takes a step back in cautious surprise, you all watch as the two other orcs beging hacking furiously and futility at this large moving mound of sticks and leaves with their greataxes. Their blades seem to dig into the moss, bark and wood as if they were chopping at the base of an old tree, but the attacks seem to do little damage to this apparently powerful thing.
At this point, both Lumen and Kess can take their turns.
