"It is... fortunate that beast chose to feed on our attackers...." Jax would say as the red light of his lens seems to slow and become steady once more. He would then turn and look to Squall. "Do you require aid?" He would ask as he pulls out the small metalic box he had used yesterday to heal her... preparing to activate the metal spider so that it can cure wounds.
(OOC: this is the amount healed if she indicates she wants healed... 8. It is also my last spell slot)
Lucky sighs, winces slightly at his injuries, and looks in the direction of the other insects. Everyone okay? Yeah? Great! So... somebody said something about a queen?
When everybody is ready and recovered from the ordeal, he will take the lead as they head further across the cavern towards their quarry.
As the group dusts themselves off, and make any preparations they see fit. You climb down the stone and continue your trek.
The ash and dust begins to set heavier in the corners of your eyes. The dirt coats your teeth and dries out your mouth. Jax can feel the sidemen building up in his joints as the cracking sensation of dirt being crushed between the metallic movement.
The surface is always changing from solid stone to fragile glass like volcanic formations. Each step potentially hazardous as you accumulate the small scrapes and scratches.
Behind you in the distance you hear another splash from the colossal creature once more.
hopping the small distances over the boiling lava pits, following the distant flight paths of the large bee like insects. Further in the distance you see brighter light in a strand the stretches across the land. A river it seems, blocking the route. Occasional boulders and rocks can be seen floating down the current. More Scattered towers of stone line the shore. The river looks to be 30-40 feet wide with the slow moving pace of the lava flow.
As the adrenaline of the moment wears of Salqwyn starts to truly feel all the burns and gladly accepts Jax's offered healing. "Thank you. It seems this is becoming something of a habit." As the group makes its way along Squall begins to breath heavier from the exertion and discomfort of the environment. "How in Siberys' name are we supposed to cross that?" Then remembering one of her companion's apparent form of worship give a small guilty smile to Tara
Earlier: Tara pats Virnen's shoulder slightly awkwardly. "...I am glad." She then offers him a hand up to continue.
Now: Tara gives Squall a reassuring smile. "I do not think the Progenitor would be particularly offended by your use of her name, since not only is she dead, but your expletive is completely accurate in this case. I have absolutely no clue in Khyber how we could go about crossing that, unless we feel like playing glidescotch across the rocks. Which I do not."
Earlier: Virnen accepts Tara's hand and rises to his feet to continue.
Now: Virnen breathes deeply, getting control over his own body. He follows the group to the river of lava and sees the problem. "Is there a way we could go around it other than across? There is a chance I could make it across on the rocks, but that won't help any of you."
As the group is deciding what to do next Squall takes a moment. Concentrating on her mark the lines writhe for a moment some climbing up her arm as she breathes in deeply then they return as she exhales. Growing still once again.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(The river is still some way away, right?)
Maybe there's a place to cross it. Like a natural bridge or something? Lucky scans the length of the river, looking for a spot where the light is dimmer and perhaps the river is narrower or a bridge is to be found: Perception12
Jax would press the smooth button on the metal box and it would quickly open up and skitter across Squall's body as it it closes the wounds with its small metal pincers and sprays a bubbling liquid that seems to make the wound disappear within seconds. "Perhaps we could make some kind of sled... find a large enough sheet of glass and slide across the top of the surface..." The warforged would say as he tucks the mechanical creature back into his leather jacket.
Lucky sees the the river winds down and out of his view. Within your vision range (which is isn’t terribly far). There is no immediate sign of the river narrowing, but also nothing to indicate that it’s not possible.
One thing that’s interesting is the on the cusp of your vision you see each giant bee like insect stop on the ground before flying back up and over the river.

Salqwyn "Squall" d'Lyrandar
"We should see what they are doing. Maybe we can jump on one for a ride across." Squall will start that direction, trying to see what they are doing without being seen.
You begin to follow down the river as it curves and winds. Hearing to occasional “bloop” of the lava as it bubbles. As you draw near you hear the low buzzing once more (not the small locusts, just the big guys). Hiding behind a rock formation you see a small gathering of giant crusted looking mushroom. Instead of the traditional cap, it looks like its inverted with pools of some pollen filled liquid material. You watch as each creature stops and seemingly takes a drink of the syrupy concoction, before they take flight once more carrying their findings. Their body shakes as they drink the pollen. Some even dip their body in it and roll around before they leave.

Virnen's eyes take a second to meet Tara's from staring off into space. "No...no I am unharmed. Thank you." he says shakily.

Lucky mentions this to the group. They're... collecting something? I guess? I dunno. Bees, huh?
