While the other group waits, three large basins of water, oil, and a sort of fine powder are brought into the room. Nothing is said by the Lizardfolk that drop it off, but it seems to be some sort of way to wash up and bathe.
(OOC: Sorry about not picking the special person sooner. I will be honest.. when you talked about our group losing a person and heeding a person i wasn't sure what ya meant until the lizard queen asked if we had chosen who was going to be the important person :P)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tara blinks, looking surprised at Jax's suggestion, but lets the lizardfolk bring her to the room and get sorted in the dress.
OOC: Books is getting serious sacrifice vibes here...lol XD
Tara Perception: 20
OOC: Woooo, now I die lol
Tara shifts extraordinarily uncomfortably in the dress, sighing quietly. "This is a little more hands-on than I had in mind when I told Zoe I wanted to study Khorvaire," she mumbles under her breath.
Jax would take advantage of the provided goods... keeping as much water remaining in his jug as possible. "I think we all performed well in our task, but I think that Tara is the reason we survived. Do you agree in my decision that she should be given the highest honor?" Jax would ask as the pale green light shines form his lens..
Virnen, guard still up from all that he has gone through, looks at the other two and says "I agree that Tara deserves to be rewarded for saving us, but don't you think we should have asked what this highest honor entails before sending her off?"
"I assumed sitting in some sort of large ceremonial chair... probably at the head of the dining table next to the queen" Jax would reply.. obviously clueless to any danger.
Damn, says Lucky. I knew that escape was too good to be true. Yeah, if Tara gets in trouble, we gotta rescue her. Let's just try not to make the big lizard people completely mad at us, right?
After waiting a while the guards toss in three hooded cloaks that resemble what the mass of lizardfolk were wearing during the ritual when you walked in. They stand waiting for you to put it on. Once you do your escorted out.
Perception check at disadvantage DC 10:
You get a quick glance around more of the tunnels along the sides on this route have torchlight further in. You get a glimpse of what looks like black ironlike bars
Once you arrive, you realize you’re in the large chamber where the first ritual was completed. The three stand separate from where the ceremony was held before. You are standing front row in what must be at least one hundred Lizardfolk worshippers behind you.
Looking around there are what must be decorations. Floating disc like crystals hover overhead shining dark purples and reds. The worshippers behind you, whole all wearing the simple robes are also adorned with bands of copper and silver wiring around their wrists and necks.
Across a small stream of lava that separates you from a large stone table. Covered in an array of foods all foreign in looks. Brass like cups resting on top with bubbling liquids. The metal cage that previously held the sacrificial lizardman hangs idly behind the scene eerily creaking over the steaming pit of magma below. Large chains hold it aloft, you see the chains go up to the ceiling before coming back down to a manual control crank. The controls are up a small platform that been dug out of the wall; a mere 20 foot climb up a sheer rock wall. The continuous talk of lizardfolk behind you fills the echoes of the chamber like buzzing bees, which is still fresh in your minds.
The rabble of small talk and chatter go silent. As you see Raksa enter in deep purple ceremonial robes, flanked by three more lizardfolk on either side. Try all wear the same robes and donned with elegant copper and silver wire jewelry. Raksa’s a little more intricate than the others. You see finally, Tara, dressed in a fancy silken dress and crowned in a copper tiara that has silver teeth like dragon sticking out of it. Her eyes obscured by a veil; She sits next to Raksa.
A moment of silence is broken when the sea of worshippers begin chanting in their draconic tongue. Raksa waves her arm and the sea goes quiet once more. Servants bring our plate after plate of plates foods. There are giant crab leg looking claws, larva fried to a crisp, gelatinous cube like pyramid that jiggles with each step, a soup of viscous brown density, and green hard boiled eggs of some creature. All these foods placed before Tara and the table as they sit.
Standing in the crowd baskets begin to be passed around as each worshipper takes something out and passes it. The basket comes along and Virnen, Lucky, and Jax see baskets filled with the same small(relatively large) locusts that swarmed them just hours before. They are charred black.
(Do any of the group accept a locust?)
Once the food is all passed out, the entire audience waits for Tara’s action. Waiting for her first bite to commence the feast. (Which if any food do you choose Tara?)
Jax would stand in front of the crowd.. his green light turning to yellow as he allows the food to pass him by. He would remain focused on Tara and Raksa... Studying both of them and looking to make sure that the still missing doppelganger has not replaced the queen.

Perception again! 19
You don’t see any visible marking or indication that would make you believe it’s the doppelgänger.
Lucky shrugs, takes a charred locust, and bites into it.
As Lucky is about to crunch into the locust, he is pushed from behind, realizing his faux pas, he continues to wait for Tara and the feast to commence.
Tara keeps her posture calm and straight as she comes out, despite her simultaneous terror and fascination. She spots the group and resists giving them a wave, then selects a fried larva and takes a bite.

Tara Wisdom Save: 11
Tara bites into the crunch of the larva, which can best be described as a burnt chicken with the consistency of a hard pretzel. With her initial bite, the feast commences as platters and plates get passed around the table with haste as all the Lizardfolk begin to inhale the food in front of them. Even Raksa is devouring the plate before her.
Tara feels an influence sweep over her as she eats, A feeling of comfort. She quickly shakes off the feeling and does not fall under whatever effect it may have been, as she remembers her surroundings.
All the Lizardfolk followers among Jax, Virnen, and Lucky peel off the back shell and shoot back the locusts like an oyster. For the group that decides to eat the locust... it’s exactly like you’d think as a big ol lump of snot.
(Tara doesn’t make the perception check because she went a different route)
Nearing the end of the feast the group notices certain Lizardfolk moving to certain areas, two climb their way to the controls of the cage, the followers in robes begin to spread out and sit in a prayer type position. Raksa removes herself for a moment.
(Anything the group wishes to do?)

Virnen washes up but keeps his eyes on Jax. "Let's go to this meal, but keep your guard up and watch for Tara. I've got a bad feeling about this."

Jax would nod and gather his equipment, his hand on his holstered revolver as they leave.
