Tara frowns. "Should have wiped them all out," she mutters, the burr of absolute fury back in her voice for a moment before she shakes her head, her voice leveling. "No, thank you, Jax. I will be updating my notes tonight. And praying."
Buddy the half Orc takes over and pulls William back into what’s left of the wreckage of the ship. The group follows suit and finds spots inside with or without other people around, depending on preference. Walking into the wreckage the ship almost looks unrecognizable, either through exhaustion or just not seeing quite right. You don’t take the time to figure it out before falling in a deep exhausted sleep.
Tara finds an isolated spot and kneels quietly, beginning a soft prayer in Draconic.
Draconic:
"Ourelonastrix, I ask your forgiveness. Today I was forced to not only masquerade as a servant of one of your great enemies, the Cold Sun, but also had no choice but to leave a nest of its worshippers alive and well. For this deception, I ask you do not cast me away, for it was in word only, not mind. I pray that my new connection to your Prophecy is a symbol of your forgiveness and love, not one of your anger. I know not what this aberrant mark means, but I swear that even should it turn out to be a corruption of the lords of madness or dust, I shall continue to serve you. By the Three, I swear that I shall complete my mission, both in your name and Zoeyris's. May your wings bear me on my path, and your claws and teeth grant me the strength to walk it."
Tara keeps her head bowed in silence for three seconds after her prayer, then rises and withdraws her spellshard. She spends almost an hour fully updating and organizing the information the day provided, most especially marking the location and layout of the lizardfolk warren, then finally curls into a ball and falls asleep.
Jax would make his way into what remained of one of the engine rooms... he would spend a couple hours working as the sound of ringing metal echoes from the room. once he had completed his latest project, he would turn and face the open doorway as the light in his lens goes dark. Although the warforged is in a suspended state, the faint sound of metal clanking can be heard coming from the room.
Moxely would just walk back to the rest of the crew and passengers and then hunker down for the night. In the morning he will ask any of the crew/passengers that are around if they are talented at doing tattoo work, as he would like to get a tattoo of a bear on his right shoulder.
Saralyssa returns to her room and studies her spellbook for a bit, then turns in. In the morning she would take out the strange crystal they received from the dopelganger and look it over, ,studying it for an hour to see if she can unlock it's secrets.
As Lucky wakes, he heads off to sit by himself for about an hour, writing in his journal, and towards the end speaking at length into the Recording Stone he always carries with him.
This is how the article would appear, according to Lucky's account. Of course the Recording Stones are not two-way so he has no idea if it's actually been published or not. He gives a detailed retelling of everything he saw, including the crash, the chase through the underground, the cultists, disappearance of Squall and the final words of the doppelganger. He includes, without comment, the killing of the doppelganger by the Warforged Jax.
Rise and shine, sweetheart, it's a new day and we're still lost in the middle of the desert. How's it going with the crystal? Hey, can I come in? Or do you want me to keep shouting through the door. I can totally do that.
(Sorry guys, been super busy - trying to get things ready for you)
Saralyssa examines the stone, the Khyber crystal. The amber shine reflects in her eye. As she focuses on it she enters a trance, everything around her goes dark until she is surrounded by darkness. It’s just her and the stone and as she touches it, it vibrates gently nestled between her fingertips. She feels a power connected to something...... big, like she’s connected to things from the future and past as it all swirls together in a realm of infinite possibility. The vibration of the power begins to travel up the arms ... she feels the warmth begin to spread before : “knock knock” as Lucky begins to knock on the door.
(A stone this sized could be used as a spell focus, but given the connection she felt and hearing the story of Tara using a giant sized crystal to harness unknown arcane powers, there is something unique about it)
The group spends the morning gathering their things and checking in on each other (please RP as desired) in the morning light you see the broken airship is quite different than what it was before. Large pieces removed or repaired in different ways. William is silent in his work, burying himself in the work of the day. It seems as though he is almost finished completing whatever it is he has planned as the crew is setting up to depart.
"I need to study the crystal some more." Saralyssa says. "If you can keep everyone away from my room, so they don't interupt me again that would be helpful." She then walks him to the door and shuts it in his face. She returns to the crystal.
(Saralyssa was studying the crystal before bed, but this is fine as well. she will start over now.)
Miserable little...Lucky mutters under his breath. Sure, whatever you say, lady. He looks around and tries to think of something useful to do, eventually fixing on William.
He looks around, trying to get a sense of what his preparations are. What's the plan, then? We all headed out? Or just some of us?
How many passengers are there total? Do they look like they're getting ready to move?
Moxely would have woken up early, as usual, and then did some stretches before heading to the make shift kitchen and preparing meals for everyone with what limited supplies are still on board.
Tara wakes, feeling a bit better after her sleep. The young woman considers for a moment, then makes for Saralyssa's room.
(OOC: Sorry, I know you just did this with Lucky, but Tara is downright fixated on this crystal now - these are part of her scholarly specialty, and she really wants to help)
Tara knocks lightly on Saralyssa's door, making sure it's quiet enough to not disrupt any delicate rituals or spells the wizard might be in the middle of.
Tara frowns. "Should have wiped them all out," she mutters, the burr of absolute fury back in her voice for a moment before she shakes her head, her voice leveling. "No, thank you, Jax. I will be updating my notes tonight. And praying."

(OOC: That is awesome)
Once he's filed his report, Lucky goes in search of Saralyssa, asking people where to find her if needed.
He knocks on the door of her room (is this in the crashed skyship? Is everything at a weird angle?)
Hey, you in there?
"Yes..." A half-asleep voice comes from inside. "What do you want?" She is sounding a bit short.
Rise and shine, sweetheart, it's a new day and we're still lost in the middle of the desert. How's it going with the crystal? Hey, can I come in? Or do you want me to keep shouting through the door. I can totally do that.
"Come on in..." Saralyssa says as she opens the door. She walks back to her bed and takes a seat.
(Cannot tell you what I know about the crystal until the DM tells me what that is.)
(Sorry guys, been super busy - trying to get things ready for you)
