"It would seem that we should pay the fee to enter in pursuit of the weird. I do not detect any traps, but that's not to say there isn't overt danger within. I would certainly agree that a meeting with Ophyira is the best course, but I just spent my last coin on this soldering iron." Nivrell says, holding up the object. After a pause he continues.: "I have no regrets."
"I would suggest we sneak in, but I have been unable to detect any other entrance. I have an idea, though. What if we pose not as patrons, but as supplicants." A creepy smile crawls its way across Nivrell's face, "Let's join the circus!"
"I don't know how I feel about that," Iveta replies, measuring her words. "Still, the Conclave teaches us never to face danger alone. We really should go in together, or not at all. So...we do it, unless someone has a better idea."
OOC: What time of day is it in-game? I'm picturing close to sunset.

Juri will walk up to the fanatics asking for gold.
”Normally, I would pay my usual gold because I appreciate all the work you all do. But i am actually expected this time, having been invited. Ophyira wants to see what I can involving some fire manipulations. So if you would please allow me and my compatriots to pass, I would appreciate it. I would rather not keep Ophyira waiting—you understand?”

Nivrell walks away from the others for a moment and pulls some tools and items from his bag. He can be seen from behind hammering and manipulating something. When he stands again, he turns, keeping his hands behind his back. Approaching the barker, Nivrell makes an offer. "Hey man, you ever seen one of these before?
He presents his creation: dangling from short lengths of rope attached ar the hands feet and head hangs a marrionette. This one is made up to look unmistakably like Isperia the Inscrutable, Supreme Judge of the Azorius Senate (Sphinx). The effigy is not a kind interpretation, with tattered wings made from the fletching of the crossbow bolts used to construct the dummy, and a head which falls from the body when a lever is pulled. Another string taps the rock that is the head and a shrill voice announces: "You will obey the rules!" Followed after a beat by a scream, which is meant to synchronize with the mock decapitation.
"What do you think?" Nivrell asks the barker.
Ooc: mechanically, the object is a magical tinkering displaying a static visual effect. It's just a pile of crossbow bolts and some rope, the strands separated into wires and a rock for the head, which has its own tinkering: a 6 second recorded message.

"Good try." The man says with a annoyed grunt. He turns away. "Isn't like every other person tries that one is it?" You can hear him asking his companion.

"Nice..." The second of them says with a nod. (Go ahead and roll your persuasion again, I will give you advantage on it.)
Nivrell hands over the marrionette and cautiously proceeds to enter the circus.looking ba k once at the rest of the party, he asks: "Isn't anybody willing to drop some coin to check this place out? You'll regret missing out."
Ooc: this should cost me some crossbow bolts. I'm thinking 1 for the torso, 4 for arms and legs and 2 more for wings. (Why did it have to be a Sphinx?) so 7 in total.
"Well," Iveta murmurs, "I did say we should all go in." She presses her lips together, then edges over to the cultists and pays them 1 zino. She follows Nivrell, arms crossed protectively over her chest. "Come on, we'd better stick together...and Selesnya or Simic, Bartash, I'd appreciate your protection."
With a frustrated huff, Juri hands over a gold and walks towards the entrance. As he enters, and definitely after he passes, he wants to telekineticly summon an invisible mage hand and pick that gold out of that guy‘s pocket.

Wizard (Gandalf) of the Tolkien Club
I could not pretend to be a Rakdos. A Selesnya maybe. I will put up 5 gold for Iveta to meet Ophyira. I can try to go in as her guard to stay near.
He looks at the others.
Zef would be most believable as a Rakdos. If he can find a way in he might be able to let the rest of you in as well.
He searches his bag for coins and pulls out 5 gp and holds it in his hand.
Would Zef be able to pass (or attempt to pass) as a Rakdos, even with his large axe?
You can always try...
Daytime is around sunset, so let's say 6 P.M. or so.
What do you guys want to do?

"You can go in, but only you." The man says with a nod to the contraption you made. "Give me that though, I will have to show it around..."
