Delirious lunges at the mercenary in his face. He tries to slip away 12 and succeeds.
Lyria10 continues to stabilize.
Potato slashes a third time and hits his mark, finally cutting the mercenary. The sword cuts deep in his neck and he goes down spurting blood. (Kill!)
Place' throws two magic stones, misses with the first, and hits the merc engaged with Delirious with the second, right in the back of the noggin, taking him down.
Kod uses a healing potion to bring Lyria back to consciousness and roars defiantly in the face of her two assailants. They aren't leaving though, they feel they still have an edge.
Speaking of edges, scimitars! Delirious: Attack: 10 Damage: 6 Potato: Attack: 5 Damage: 5 Hordkhen: Attack: 20 Damage: 7 Kod: Attack: 19 Damage: 2 Lucky turn for the party as none of the cultists connect, they all seemed to have synchronized their attacks to miss.

Potato relishes the warm spray of blood that crosses his face. He turns his crazy eyes to the cultist next to him, shrieking while his little lizard frill flares out, then strikes!
Delirious kind of discovers two-weapon fighting, but forgot that BOTH weapons must have the Light property to wield two weapons. The gods graciously allow him to use his War pick and ignore the dagger attack, instead of the other way around, since he already had that in his hand. Since the mercenary was already dead, he hits the cultist hard and he's looking rough.
Lyria stands and swings hard at the enemy, but her recent unconsciousness is still hurting her depth perception and she misses.
Potato, in one deep cut, disembowels the cultist just South of him. He falls to the ground as his entrails spill out.
Place' magically imbues three more stones and throws one in an attempt to assist Lyria, but was trying to be too careful not to hit her and in doing so, missed entirely.
Kod chops at the cultist, and again, his axe goes deep. There's no coming back from that. The cultist's eyes roll back and it slides off the axe to the ground.
It was a bad round to be a cultist, as none of them were able to do anything and a couple died. Still confident they can win this, one slashes at Delirious, the other Hordkhen. Delirious: Attack: 12 Damage: 3 Hordkhen: Attack: 6 Damage: 4 Nope, nada.

Tar stomps up to the cultist complaining; "Just desperate to be slaves, darastrix or tyrants..." he slashes at the cultist speaking through clenched jaw. "...don't have a pair of boots to lick, might as well find some- eh?!"
Delirious swings the war pick one more time and it enters the cultist's temple. He immediately falls to the ground, prying himself free of the weapon in death.
Lyria blasts more radiance at the nearly dead mercenary and makes him all the way dead.
Potato catches a lot of flesh with his scimitar, enough to kill the cultist in one hit.
Combat is over.
The noise seems distant now that combat has ended. You know there's no one left to get to the keep, no more important buildings to save, and the racket from the looting itself seems to be dying down. Some of the cultists may have absconded with the majority of the haul they gathered tonight. You estimate it's about 2am but the relativity of time leaves you wondering. About 10 minutes after combat ended, the guard shows up from the castle, bloody and battered, but overall still hardy looking and able to defend. They dismiss you and send you back to the keep. You sneak back along the stream and make it back to the secret tunnel with no incidents. You do not see as many cultists throughout the town, but there are a lot surrounding the keep...
(We'll say Kod used one of the four healing potions given to you by Nighthill when he got Lyria back on her feet. Take this time to decide who gets the remaining three to hold, or if you're going to use them. I'm not sure if any of you added them to your sheets, but now is the time to figure that out before we continue. I will say there is still more to this chapter, you're not able to rest yet, but we're close.)
