Hordkhen, Kod, and Kamag run up and take a melee swing at the cultist, all missing outright. All three of them, now in melee with him, see a second cultist dressed similarly behind a natural column of stone, that has full cover from the cave entrance and can't be seen from the mouth.
Delirious' arrow goes wide as well.
Lyria tries a sacred flame at the deftly dodging foe. DEX Save: 12 but he didn't get out of the way quick enough, and his soul burns for 2 damage.
After this comedy of errors where nearly everyone missed the completely unsuspecting cave guard, Place' charges in as an elk and bashes into it. STR Save: 4 It cannot remain standing and falls prone. Something breaks as he falls, he's looking really rough.

Kod, seeing the cultist scum die, rushes the other but misses.
The cultist, prepared to attack the dangerous elk but now only engaged with Kod, swings his scimitar at him, twice. He yells loudly toward the interior of the cave. Attack: 12 Damage: 9 Miss Attack: 22 Damage: 5 Hit, HP adjusted.
Then Kamag nicks him with his greataxe.
Delirious, Lyria, and Place' are up. Remember, Delirious cannot see the cultist from where he is.
Delirious, noticing that members of the party are either attacking another cultists or a random pillar, decides to move in for a chance to finish off the other cultist.
(If I can move to a location where I have line of sight)

If I still can't see him I'll hold my action in case anyone responds to his yelling.
Delirious is able to angle to a place where he can see the cultist and plants an arrow in his side.
Lyria hits with Chill Touch (Which is neither Cold damage, nor a touch attack, go figure) and the cultist starts to wither and look ill.
Place' rams into the lone cultist, who does in fact fall prone, not because he failed his save, but because he is dead.
COMBAT OVER.
All of you wait to see if his yell brought any reinforcements, but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. The cavern goes much deeper, and the sounds you hear are dripping water, scratching rodents, scrabbling lizards, and wind moaning across the entrance. The fighting and yelling seems to have gone unnoticed.
The ceilings in this natural cavern are 15' high, and natural light pours in. It is the only light source, there are no torches or lanterns that you can see farther in, and it gets dimmer as you go.
