Falshen will tempt fate and move 30 ft in direction of/along the southern bridge. Assuming he does not plummet to his death and that he still has a clear line of sight, he will then attack with his bow once more.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ian screams out in reaction to the acid "Aghh!! It's burning me!"
Ian will cast Dissonant Whispers(lvl 1) on the ooze. On a failed wisdom save (much like vicious mockery, psychic damage, WIS 15 save), it takes
Psychic Damage: 9 (Half damage on a save)
and if failed must use its reaction to move as far as its speed allows away from Ian.
If the ooze moves away from Ian, he will also move and try and keep at least 40 feet between himself and the ooze, otherwise he will not disengage. As a bonus action, regardless of circumstance, Ian will use Healing Word(lvl 1)on himself, saying "Heal!"
As the paladin pulls back his warhammer, he notices that some of the gross black stuff has clung to his weapon, and with a happy hissing appears to be eating away at his favored blunt instrument...

Ian's Cutting Words appear to have no effect!
The ooze is unmoved by this particular display of the bard's cruel wit.
Falshen feels the stones beneath his feet shift in an unsettling way, but the bridge yet holds.
He is now standing midway across the southern bridge, and has a clear shot at the ooze with his bow.
Attack role: 20 + Inspiration: 1
Damage (if hit): 6
Roll* (thank you autocorrect)
Irma moves to grab his warhammer and shield. After grabbing his arms he prepares to strike the ooze.

A swing and a miss from the paladin!
Meanwhile, the bard's Dissonant Whispers assault the tender psyche of the sensitive ooze: 17
The obdurate glop remains indifferent to Ian's malignant muttering, but it still sustains 5 psychic damage.
In the same instant, Falshen's arrow strikes true, plunging into the foul mass of the creature to inflict 10 more damage.
The ooze considers its options...
Apparently resentful of Ian's abusive language, the ooze slaps him yet again with a gelatinous tendril: Attack: 17 Damage: 5
And yet more delicious acid damage: 4
Plus a mysterious other roll from the DM...15
Noting Ian's dissolving flesh, Falshen calls, "I have healing potions!" The trickster then fires his bow at the acidic ooze.
Attack roll: 22
Damage (if hit): 10
Additional crit damage: 5
If the ooze dies, then Ian will refrain from spellcasting (since Falshen is at the top of the order), otherwise:
Ian in his anger casts Vicious Mockery at the ooze, yelling in pain, "You bastard of a jelly!"
Damage: 4 (Target has disadvantage on its next attack)
As a bonus action, Ian will again cast Healing Word (Lvl 2), saying with tears in his eyes, "MY beautiful skin... heal!"
Heal: 8
(Crit) Sneak Attack damage: 12
Irma winds up for another swing with his warhammer.
Attack: 23
Damage if it hits: 7
Divine Smite roll if it hits: 7 radiant damage
Irma's solid strike splashes ooze-goo onto his arm, inflicting acid damage!
Acid damage: 4
Quivering with amorphous rage, the hostile jelly lashes out at the paladin!
Attack: 18 Damage: 5
And the DM makes another unexplained roll...9
As the paladin pulls back his warhammer, he notices that some of the gross black stuff has clung to his weapon, and with a happy hissing appears to be eating away at his favored blunt instrument...
