Falshen will follow and very carefullyexamine the frescos for any hints of magic (no sense in repeating the trouble with the downstairs fresco). If he finds no hints of danger, he will examine the frescos more fully.

The frescoes do not exhibit any magical properties, malignant or otherwise.
In the course of his careful inspection, Falshen discovers that the stone hammer being wielded by the smith in the fresco on the south wall can be taken away from where it rests. When removed, it leaves a hammer-shaped indentation in the wall. Etched into the side of the hammer that was facing the wall is an inscription in Dwarvish runes.
After reading the inscription aloud for Irma's benefit, Falshen walks over and holds the hammer above the cobweb-coated anvil, as if prepared to strike and shape hot metal. He looks to Irma and enquires, "What say you? Dare I follow mysterious instructions?"

When removed, it leaves a hammer-shaped indentation in the wall. Etched into the side of the hammer that was facing the wall is an inscription in Dwarvish runes.
Falshen, being proficient in the Dwarven language, attempts to decipher the runes.
The inscription reads: “Let the hammer fall and the anvil ring.”

Having made his way across the gap via the rope, Ian would like to appraise his surroundings.
Irma nods at Falshen, "Fortune favors the bold."
Falshen swings the hammer with force, striking the anvil.
As the hammer strikes the anvil, a clear, high, bell-like tone rings through the room, shaking dust and cobwebs loose and making the air tremble.
Falshen and Irma find their hearts all at once uplifted and enlivened by a sense of noble purpose, and they both gain 10 temporary hit points.
Ian, meanwhile, finds himself facing an adamantine door.
There are no visible hinges, handle, lock, or bar, and the door yields to neither push nor pull.
Ian will search around the door for a switch or some other means of opening the door.
Make an Investigation check.
Irma will aid Ian in investigating the door.
Based on his Investigation, Ian strongly suspects that the only way to open this door would be by force, or magical means.
Ian whispers under his breath, “shit.” And he will try to muscle his way through the door.
Irma will join Ian at the door in question and lend his assistance.
Ian or Irma may make an Athletics check, with Advantage, to attempt to force the door.
Irma stretches for a bit and with Ian's help will attempt to force the door.
