Giving up on the idea of talking the old woman out of her room, Kas will begin searching the room. He's looking for records or any kind of writing that could shed light on the situation. He'll also look for any valuables in the room. Investigation15
While he's going through the room, he'll ask the man, "You say you're just a longshoreman and you don't know what's going on here. Well, even just a longshoreman knows when and where he unloaded things. And what's been causing the lights and sounds? You live here; surely you have some ideas."
When he finishes searching the room he'll go over to the "Danger" door, put his ear against it, and rattle the locking bar, listening for any response from the other side. Perception5
Kasimir finds no records in the room. Just a lot of dirty dishes, mostly, and some empty shelves in the southwest corner. The wooden footlockers are locked except for the one blown open in the blast. That one contains a lot of dirty underwear, but also a coin purse that holds 7 gp and 15 sp.
"Look, Sanbalet's a trader, that's all. We jus' got a nice load 'o brandy. Maybe he'll give you some if ye' ask nice? I dunno when the next shipment is. How 'bout you lemme go and I'll show you the way out?"
Kas wanders over to the "Danger" door and rattles the bar. You can see that it is damaged and bent, as if something has tried to push the door open from the other side. Nothing happens now, though - all remains quiet.
Qiv paces in front of the longshoreman. These are not the answers he was hoping for. "Perhaps this man knows little of the operation. We can't let him go though. We'd be signing up for even more trouble." his musings are as much for himself as they are for Kas and Red. "Maybe you have an answer to this last question -- who, or what is behind that door?" he asks, pointing at the barred door.
Kas has had enough of the man's non-answers. "You don't know what you've been unloading. You don't know what's making the lights and noises. You don't know what's behind the door IN YOUR BEDROOM! I have trouble believing anyone on this Plane is as ignorant as you're acting." He turns to Qivys and Red and asks, "What about you two? If I told you I had a job for you, but you'd be sleeping in the basement of a house that screams, next to a door with 'dead things' behind it that sometimes try to break through, you'd have some questions, right? Well not our friend here. If Sanbalet says it's okay, that's good enough for him."
He kicks over a chair. "Nerull take this town and all the fools with it! Well, if you can't tell us what's behind that door, I know one way to find out." He grabs the man's chair and drags it over to the DANGER door. "I say we shove him through the door and see what comes to get him. He has the brains of a worm, he can do the job of a worm."

Omen returns with his pack without incident.

Intimidation: 11 (I'll give advantage here because Kas' threat is particularly terrifying to this guy, and aided by Omen's action.)
The man is becoming more anxious, but holds his composure. "I'm telling ye' th' truth, m'friend! I ain't never been in there. Living skeletons, they say! We don' use that door. Talk t' Sanbalet! He'll tell ye'! We're jus' traders, that's all. Movin' honest goods."

Suddenly, you notice two young men with bows have appeared on the far side of the room...
Guy #1 Stealth: 14 Guy #2 Stealth: 21
They are close to sixty feet away, near the westernmost bed. You didn't see them enter the room. They surprise the lot of you, and a volley of arrows is the first thing you notice. Four arrows, one for each of you...
Arrow at Kasimir: 16. Damage: 3. Critical hit: 10 damage. Kas takes an arrow in the neck. He is down. Arrow at Red: 24. Damage: 9. Hit. Arrow at Omen: 16. Damage: 6. Hit. Omen is down as well, with an arrow in his gut. Arrow at Qivys: 12. Damage: 10. The arrow is deflected by his new plate mail.
Initiative: Bowmen: 22 Qivys: 14 Red: 7
Qivys is up. The two young men, wearing leather armor, shortswords, and longbows, are about 55-60 feet away. They are nocking more arrows.
So Qivys is up, and Kas may roll a death save. (Bad luck, guys! So sorry!)
A reminder: A death saving throw is a straight d20 without modifiers. A roll of 10 or more is a success; otherwise its a failure. Three fails and you're dead.
Kas and Omen are bleeding on the floor, unconscious, facing fate.
Qivys action is next. He's roughly 55 feet away from these two new bow-wielding assailants - long-haired, leather-cloaked goons with scruffy chins who look like they could be twins.
(Sorry guys don't know if this is the right thing to do. Good job on the saves btw)
Qivys turns to face his attackers. With a fierce look of determination he launches into a run. Dashing across the room he utters his gods name "PELOR!!!" asking for divine help with this new trial. He runs flailing his shield and hammer wildly in hopes of distracting the assailants.
(All I see in my mind is a dwarf flapping around like an armoured chicken :) )
Qivys charges across the room, roaring and clanking. He draws the fire of the twin goons. They take a few steps backwards - nearly to the wall - and let loose a second volley, all at Qivys.

Red
Red, who has been standing there staring at the door the woman had fled through shouts in surprise and pain as the arrow hits her. Spinning to face their attackers in time to see Qivys charge. She spots her fallen companions.
"I can cast this spell twice, once for each of you. If you go down again it's out of my hands."she tells their unconscious bodies as if they could hear and understand her. Her eyes flicker rapidly over them as she does eeny, meeny, miny, moe in her head. Her eyes settle on Kas last as she lifts her instrument and plays, casting healing word. When finished she turns to the goons, her fine playing turning into a screech as she casts Vicious Mockery on one of them before moving forward to crouch behind one of the beds in the hope of gaining cover if they decide to shoot at her again.
Omen
Omen exits the room, going up the steps they had just come down. He is going to retrieve his pack.
Omen heads back through the secret door into the wine cellar, and goes back upstairs. All is quiet.
The old man works his jaw, somewhat swollen from where Kas hit him. "Ye' got anything stronger t' drink?" he inquires.
Kasimir:

Omen
If nothing happens on his short trip, Omen will return with his backpack. He will set the pack down and remove his rope.
"Has the accused answered any of the questions put to him?" Omen will ask the others.
Omen will take the rope and move over a few sections of it, pulling it taunt to test its strength as he listens and watches the old man.
