Stilgar’s invisible hand wraps itself around the degraded piece of metal that remains of the doorknob. The spectral fingers begin to twist the handle and surprisingly discover that it is unlocked. A shower of rusted snowflakes fall to the wooden floor below as he slowly turns it fully, allowing to door to open.
The wooden door steadily creeps back with a gentle creak when a large, howling gust of wind spins around from behind the house, quickly swinging the door completely open and into the wall with slam. The wind and fog spare no pleasantries as they rush into the house, creating a cloud of dust that aids the fog in obscuring the room. The force of the gust slowly fades and the door slowly inches back towards the party with a drawn out creak.
The party, still unmoved from their positions, watch as the fog and dust settle, partially revealing the room's content. The remains of what appears to be of a chair, lies on the floor, broken and in pieces. Directly behind the chair is a table, turned over and presenting its antique wooden top to them. Once probably a fine piece of furniture, it is now scarred with a fist size hole towards the center with large scratches and gouges across the rest.
Stilgar sees Darrimus enter the house and immediately begins to follow. With an eye out for anything he could sale for coin, he quickly starts to investigate the other objects found around the room. Laurentia looks around the room using her life of nature in attempt to explain anything she can in the room. She notices that the scratches and scrapes are not of a beast she knows, possibly of the creature whose footprints she found outside. Examining the table further, she notices the wood floors and the wooden table are made of two different tree species, although that information is probably not important at the moment.
Stilgar continues to look around the room, passing a set of stairs on the right side of the room that lead to the upper floor. There is also a closed door on the back side of the stairs. An old small fireplace sits at the back of the room next to an old clock in between two windows. Inspecting the clock for pieces of valuable metal, Stilgar catches movement out of the corner of his eye. Looking outside into the fog, he sees a black figure dashing through the fog. Attempting to turn around to alert the others, Stilgar catches his hand on the open door of the clock, knocking it over and breaking the silence with a loud crash of shattering glass.
Stilgar points outside into the fog but nothing is there. Stilgar double takes back outside to again see nothing but the fog. The house creaks as the wind continues to gust outside. A few pops and cracks from the fire accompany the house to form an odd symphony of sounds as the light outside continues to dim bringing in the night.

" So nice of you two to join us," Laurentia whispers as she pats Ash on the back.
...
Stilgar, unable to adequately express his concerns with the spooky and ominous situation unfolding around them, whispers to ash,
”ya know... its never to late to just, I dunno, head back to the inn...i’ll even buy you a pint.”
Darrimus walks up to table and places his hand to a hole in the table.
"What happened here?" asks Darrimus.

"What was that noise? Stilgar?"
Ash lights the fireplace ablaze by creating a bonfire within it.
Darrimus draws his longsword reactively and then lowers his guard seeing the clock on the ground.
”Good night Stilgar! Now everyone within a tenday walk knows we’re here.”
Darrimus looks to the fire burning.
”With that said we were looking for shelter. I guess this’ll do the trick for the night. I can take first watch.” Says Darrimus.
stilgars face turns pale as he shatters the silence with his clumsiness for the 2nd time this evening...
